First time here I tried tacos and was pleasantly surprised. I had 1 each of beef, pork, shrimp. All were overstuffed and delicious with the 'special' Kogi sauce. A trip to Kogi Grill yesterday made for a very interesting lunch. The workers were upbeat & very helpful. The best I can describe this place is to say it is Korean-Mexican fusion. In actuality it is Korean food served in a Mexican "vehicle". In other words it's Korean food wrapped in a tortilla, like a Korean burrito. There are also tacos made with Korean filling. I ordered the Chicken burrito. The chicken tasted great, but I found it to be low quality meat. There were a few questionable pieces I had to spit out of my mouth. The chicken is marinated in Korean spices, & joins lettuce, cheese, & rice. This is all wrapped in a tortilla like a burrito. A special gochujang-mayo sauce is added which is pretty tasty. Kogi Grill is a decent fast-casual option for Korean BBQ. It's barebones as the entrees consist of rice, salad, and protein options of chicken, spicy pork, beef, shrimp or salmon. They also have tacos and burritos (I think). My younger son was not enamored with all of the rice and salad from his rice bowl and my chicken bowl was not filling enough. Went to pick up my food and was told there was no order, so I left and came back 10 minutes later after receiving a text that the food was ready. Again, I was told I had no order. Had to pull out the text and my order confirmation before they would even read the names on the bags. Low and behold my food was sitting there the whole time. I am very sad to say that we were extremely let down by Kogi Grill. After getting this place recommended to us over and over again, we finally had to try it out. The woman at the counter was very kind. They were extremely busy and she was handling it well. It was very dingy inside, but exactly what you would expect for a place like this. You are not coming here for ambiance, you are coming for what is supposed to be great food. We ordered a large spicy pork kogi bowl and a large beef kogi bowl. Both with a sunny-side-up egg added on top. The flavors of the meat were definitely there, but the meat was extremely dry, chewy, and clearly very low quality. Dry meat over bland rice. Not very enjoyable. The egg on top was each bowl's only saving grace, and one yolk was broken. Needless to say, we were very displeased with Kogi Grill, and it seems to be quite overhyped. On a slower day, we might try this eatery again. Perhaps we tried it at a bad time. We wanted to love this place, especially with how convenient it is for us, but Kogi Grill did not hit the mark at all. read more

I went with the large shrimp bowl, $20.50. It comes with steamed rice, lettuce mix, and topped with Kogi sauce. It was ready in minutes! It was flavorful and had a nice, little kick. OK I did that says a delivery through DoorDash! But I called ahead to ask about the Kogi sauce since I have food allergies. The gentleman I spoke with was very sweet and explained what the Kogi sauce was and I said OK let me try it on the side so that I know whether or not, I will have issues and so he did and I placed my order. I got the Kogi beef bowl with a side of the chicken to see what the flavor was like with the grilled chicken! I also added the vegetables which is spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini, because I like a meal heavy on the vegetables. I was not disappointed with any of it. The rice is delicious. The meat was flavorful and just cooked to perfection. But that Kogi sauce is to die for. I was worried about the pepper in it and I didn't have to be. It was tempered beautifully in the sauce. I will definitely be ordering from here again soon, in fact, I was on TikTok, live and die, absolutely raved about my meal while on live. And told a friend who is on his way to Florida, that he has to go eat there while he's in town. Sorry, I don't have pictures this time because I was on live while eating it. I'm a little behind on my reviews but Kogi is one of our favorite to go places in the area! It is consistently good and their Kogi sauce is making mouth water just thinking of it. I find myself craving Kogi Grill at least once a week. Their meat is excellent! My favorites are their bulgogi beef and their spicy pork tacos. However, I then find myself going elsewhere because Kogi Grill is not a full meal for me. Even if I eat three tacos, I'm down almost $12.00 and still craving a side dish or something. All they have is tacos, sandwiches, burritos, bowls. I find myself craving some fries, or other form of side dish to go along with the main meat entrée. Maybe I'm just a weird person, but it actually keeps me from visiting Kogi more often. read more

From what I saw, its a small space with a casual setting. It was also not hard finding this restaurant. As for the food, all of the meat were well cooked and the portion sizes were very reasonable. Service was ok, none of the workers were wearing masks which I thought was odd, being in food service. ‍ Food was pretty good, very flavorful and generous portions. I made the mistake of coming here hungry. I was going to get just a regular bowl. haven't mind, but this is my first time here. Being hungry I opted for the triple meat bowl, since the pictures look good. The bowl was $22 out the door, all three meats, just rice, no lettuce and jalapeños. The bowl itself it's pretty big too. Maybe three people hanging out of it. I was hungry, the bowl was fucking amazing, so I had the whole thing. I spent over two hours, just laying in my raptor and waiting to be able to move again. lol If you want to try a actual upgrade to that Chipotle crap that everybody seems to like around here I highly recommend you to come try this place! read more

It is about 3.5 stars. A few things can be improved. Overall is a good restaurant. It is food truck standard in a building with control temperature. Chef has good skill. I got the two meat large bowl with steak and chicken combo. The steak is the New York Strip meat. But it is thin slice meat. The bowl is bed with rice. The meat is cook over grilled with Korean BBQ sauce. I have added sunny side up egg. I also got spicy pork to go. I eat half over the restaurant and bring home other half. The food do not sit in my stomach well. I have to go to bathroom. I believe is the egg because I finished the egg in the restaurant. When I eat the remaining, it was good. If I am there, I will go for the Bibimbap. Cafeteria style. Not much of service. I would prefer the steak to be dice than thin slice. read more

Staying at a nearby hotel and Kogi Grill kept popping up on my Yelp searches for a late Friday night dinner. I eventually gave in and made the short drive over to this little restaurant in a strip mall. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as I walked in. I ordered the Kogi Bibimbap with chicken and an egg. It was brought to me in probably 10min, maybe less. I thought it was great and I ate the entire thing. The pictures make it look larger than it really is but it was still filling. The price seemed a little steep for one person, I thought. Just the dish with a cup of water and an added tip, I spent over $17. The part the missed a little for me, was that some of the veggies were very cold. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that or not, but some were warm and some were cold. I loved that the sauce came on the side as well as the kimchi. I mixed it all together and added the amount of sauce I wanted, to keep the spice level comfortable. A lot of comments mention how clean the restaurant was, but I didn't feel that way. It was late on a Friday but there clearly wasn't an urge to clean all the open tables. Napkins and forks were scattered around and it didn't seem very presentable. They have two size bowls to choose from and the regular one has 5oz of meat the large one has 10oz of meat and the trio of all three meats (chicken, pork, and beef) has 15oz Good size portion. My friend and I got the large and split it and it was a good amount where we weren't stuffed but full for now. Ordered the large beef for $12.50 (chicken and pork large were $10.50) Tasty food and came with white rice for the bowl. I had extra sauce on the side and it was really good. If you're closed then why is the door still open, the grill still on and hott and the sign says hours 11-9pm?? I've SEEN complaints before about "they always close early and that is UNNACEPTABLE. Oh my word, so good! I did not know this place was only a 10 min drive from my work but man was I happy with my choice of lunch today. I got the Kogi Beef Bowl which is made with NY strip in their secret marinade grilled with onions and places on top of cabbage slaw, steamed rice and gochu sauce topped with chopped green onions! TO DIE FOR! I'm not over exaggerating when I say this was the best meal I've had this month, super fresh, fast and didn't make me feel sick or greasy after like many restaurants in the area. This was my second visit. The food is good. I want to be blown away but I'm not. It is good, well priced with nice portions. I feel like it is just missing the mark/something. I ordered the regular chicken kogi bowl $8.95. The chicken is very good, rice perfect. Recommendation: add mayo sauce drizzle on top of the chicken maybe with some jalapeños - I am assuming it's on the lettuce mix but I didn't see it (not to say it wasn't there). I love food and just wanted it to be a smidge more visually appealing. I enjoyed this because I felt like it was quasi healthy not drenched in sauce or super fried or breaded. For a unique take-away food experience, the Kogi Grill is definitely a hidden gem. They're located a little east of S. Belcher on the north side of Ulmerton Rd. in Largo. The restaurant is spotlessly clean. There's not a big dining area because it is essentially a take-away type place. The menu is limited. As a first timer, I decided to order all three of the different Kogi Bowls (Beef, Chicken and Spicy Pork). For the price, you get a good sized portion in each bowl. The rice, cabbage slaw and Mongolian grilled proteins portions were ample. They were all enhanced with their Gochu Sauce which is a spicy mayonnaise. All three bowls were delicious however, my favorite was the Spicy Pork bowl. It was tender and REALLY spicy. I was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was and how clean the place was.
