They advised me that the original equipment could have been repaired and that the replacement recommended by Titan was unnecessary. In addition, I discovered that one of the replacement components installed by Titan, which I later found available for approximately $60, was billed to me for about $350. In my opinion, this represents an excessive markup that was never adequately justified. As a consumer, I relied on Titan's expertise and expected honest recommendations. Instead, I believe I was sold unnecessary replacement equipment and charged significantly more than a reasonable price for the parts installed. The overall experience left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. I respectfully request that the Better Business Bureau review this matter and ask Titan Garage Door to respond to the following concerns: * Why was replacement recommended instead of repair? * How do they justify charging approximately $350 for a component that is readily available for about $60? * Will they provide an appropriate partial refund to reflect the unnecessary work and excessive pricing?
