Rating is primarily for the service, but the food was fabulous also. Our recommendations are Gambas ajillo (shrimp scampi), especial tortilla, queso cabra con miel (crispy goat cheese) y croquetas jamón. The sangria was also delicious!

I'm from LA visiting only 3 days. This place is across from my hotel it's always busy so we decided to try it. Amazing service first of all. And anything that comes out of the kitchen is fresh. Maybe all hospitality in Spain is amazing, I couldn't tell you in a 3 day visit, but this place is a 5 star for sure & worth a quick, or long, stop.

Dora was a great late night spot to grab a bite! My husband and I as well as some of his co-workers were staying at a hotel nearby and many of the restaurants in walking distance were closed (this is around 9PM). We we walked by Dora we were thankful that they were 1) open and 2) offered vegetarian options! Thoughts and Recommendations: - Tapas were decent! Amongst us we ordered a variety of items and we were all very happy with our choices: Pan con Tomate, Patatas Bravas (Las Bravas), Pasta Bolognese, Spinach and Tomato Penne pasta, and John Ford Burger. - Good wine! I ordered the house wine and man it was so good and cheap! Equivalent to $5 a glass. - Loved the decor in here! As we waited for our food we couldn't help but noticed the interior design at Dora. It gives off this modern-retro train station vibe. The front of the restaurant is all glass with brass metal frames, the lighting fixtures are these massive retro round orbs, booths are emerald green leather, the upholstered chairs were old-timey but in good condition, and there are beautiful large plants hanging from the ceiling. It was something like out of a movie set! So pretty in it's own way. Overall, this a solid little tapas place in the heart of Barcelona. The food and service were all pleasant but nothing that really knocked my socks off, hence the 4 stars and not 5.

This is our waiter Juan Carlos and the service was great! Food was delicious and good variety.

It was very close to our hotel and it looked very busy. Asked customers about the food they were eating and they all gave a thumbs up. We weren't disappointed because our meal was delicious! Our waiter Juan Carlos was delightful and efficient! He was adorable.

Stay away from here! Slow and poor service. Very overpriced and the food is not good. The seafood paella looked overcooked, smelled unpleasant and tasted like nothing. The 1 prawn that was in the dish was totally dried out and shriveled up. The stuffed olives tasted like old fish. The best thing about this place was the bottled beer. €42 for this meal was regretful. To say I was unhappy with this meal would be a gross understatement. Worst restaurant I've eaten at in a long time.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

It seemed like mostly a flavored fat. The tomato with toast was lovely. Soaked with natural tomato juice. The skewered prawns were the best. Get them. And we ended with coconut pudding. We were happy to enter the cozy La Alcoba Azul and seated by a smiling host immediately & presented with menus. The interior looks almost like a wine cellar with brick vaulted ceilings. The offerings are best described as fusion tapas but there are a few traditional bites as well. Our waiter presented us with an amuse bouché of pumpkin hummus topped with roasted pepitas on an herbed toasted baguette crisp. DELICIOUS! We confidently ordered the tomato tartare with avocado cream, basil, olive powder and rosemary olive oil caviar as well as a half order of cured Iberican meats featuring chorizo, loin, sausage and ham, an order of the hummus with black olives, parsley, pine nuts and pita triangles. All were terrific! We especially enjoyed the meats and tomato tartare. I enjoyed a red sangria that was satisfying and happened to be topped with cinnamon...a first and welcome addition for me. La Alcoba Azul is a spot we'll keep on our tapas go to list! You shouldn't hesitate to visit.

Every tapa we ordered was soooo goood that we started and ended our trip here we had the classic patatas bravas, jamón ibérico, croquettes, bacalao, & huevos cabreados - everything delicious. for dessert, we tried torrija quemada, churros con chocolate, crema catalana, and roscón borrachín. Our server, Amaya, was funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He took great care of us, and every single recommendation he made was delicious. I wish I knew all the Spanish names of the dishes because everything was amazing. The highlights for us were the Bacalao -- so tender and full of flavor -- and honestly the best octopus I've ever had in my life. We also loved the soft steak with duck liver served on a slice of French baguette, the shrimp skewers, patatas, and the Spanish ham with tomato toasts. Every dish was unforgettable. On top of the incredible food, the restaurant itself has such an elegant atmosphere with beautiful décor that made the whole dining experience even more special. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Barcelona!

Well, the restaurant was cute and cozy with a great ambiance. With luck on our side, we found two seats at the bar and quickly ordered drinks. We ordered a pitcher of the sangria (because why not?). The sangria was delicious, refreshing, and made to order. It was definitely more authentic than what we're getting in America. We ordered the patatas bravas, tempura asparagus, the octopus, and the steak. It all came out as it became available. We couldn't decide what our favorite was, to be honest. We ordered an ice cream sandwich for dessert and quickly requested our bill. We didn't want to hold the staff up as we noticed they were cleaning the establishment and people were finishing up. Overall, what a great experience for our first meal in Barcelona! Cute and hidden gem.

We grabbed the only table open when we arrived at 1 on a Monday afternoon. We saw a Cava Sangria (a first) and had to try-light and delicious! They also had Majou Beer (from Malaga) on draft which is hard to find outside of Malaga so had to have one. We ordered a couple of starters and a couple of what I'd say were bigger plates. The pork belly marinated in lime was tasty but the fresh Mackerel stole the show! The Truffled eggs with foie and mushrooms was finished table-side and was amazing. We missed that the Cuttlefish had squid ink-no matter, so light and exquisite-only complaint would be to have more cuttlefish. Service was engaged and friendly from start to finish. Tapeo reminds me of some of the regional restaurants where you want to try the entire menu at once cause it all looks so good. Tapeo is now on the list of "must stops" when in Barcelona!
