Today, I saw Dr Doris Boudaie for my own eye exam. She thoroughly and skillfully examined, then diagnosed possible Macular Degeneration. She will confer with another retina specialist, and then we will go further. Despite the potential drawback of this diagnosis, I feel exceptionally cared for, and in very good hands. No kidding Dr. Boudaie is seriously amazing and I'm so glad to have met her! I had been going to the Lenscrafters around the corner on 3rd street and was never impressed by any of the Optometrists there. I happened to come across Dr. Boudaie at the Lenscrafters inside Macys at the Beverly Center by chance as I needed a later appointment than my usual location was able to offer. I found her to be very kind and attentive and she spent a lot of time explaining things to me in a direct and easy to understand manner. I had Lasik done back in 2005 and since then I've suffered from serious dry and itchy eyes. Every Optometrist I've seen has basically told me to just use re-wetting drops and live with it. Dr. Boudaie took the time to really evaluate the reason for my dry eye and diagnosed me with Meibomian Gland Dysfunction. She made some specific recommendations and sent me home with plenty of samples to try out various products and for the first time in many years my eyes feel many times better. Dr Boudaie is extremely thorough in her eye exams. She explains what is going on in full detail and will leave you feeling extremely knowledgeable about your eyes! However due to construction the mall is a mess which makes finding her office a bit of a hassle but if you can follow these simple directions it is definitely worth it! I parked on the 4th floor and took the elevators to the 6th floor, once I exited the elevators I followed the signs to Macy's, once inside of Macy's I walked all the way to the Macy's elevator located in back of the store, I took the elevator up to the 8th floor her office is right outside of the elevator inside the LensCrafters you can't miss it! I would definitely recommend her to people new to exams or people getting their annual exams alike trust me she is worth a visit! read more

Dr. Boudaie and Lenscrafters were awesome. I lost a contact lens on a Saturday morning and I needed to find a new eye doctor. I called Lenscrafters and was able to get an appointment that morning. The doctor explained everything to me very clearly and spent time with me making sure that my prescription was exactly right. Everything she said would happen as my eyes adjusted to the new prescription happened. I really felt she listened and paid attention to me. The entire staff at Lenscrafters was very polite and professional. She explained everything I need to know about my eyes, we took retina photos of the back of the eyes to see if there was and early signs of disease, tears, or detachment. I was very impressed with the optometrist Dr. Doris Boudaie. She is very knowledgeable about the eye and eye-lid related diseases or issues. Best of all, she does not rush the appointment. She takes the time to ensure your prescription is perfect and explains things every step of the way. When one of my eyes became a bit dry, she gave me a complimentary bottle of non-allergenic eye-drops. When she discovered a light case of blepharitis (which I had several months before and accounted for the irritation and dryness in the one eye), she showed me how to treat it. She also provided me with a sample of Cliradex which is an all natural eye-lid cleaner. She reviewed with me the minor changes to my previous eyeglass prescription from a year and a half ago to ensure that I was okay with them. I'm looking forward to getting my new glasses with the updated prescription. :) Marie, the Optician and her staff are very knowledgeable as well. They have a great selection of frames!
