Been coming here for years. first few times even with my astigmatism "fee" and other fees it would always come out to 180-230 bucks, already expensive considering all the other spots in ktown. Well today i went in, had a "free" eye exam and the eye tech answered all my questions she was great, but the ladies who gave me my bill, looked me up and down and added the charge for the lenses, astigmatism fee, and 2 new other fees came out to 358, after the 75 "discount". Apparently because my prescription is "stronger" now. Not true. They kept talking back and forth as if they where deciding if I was going to call them out for their obvious crap fees. I was already doing them a favor buying 20 dollar frames for 90 and they have the nerve to try to do that, lucky for them I needed them quick and honestly not in the mood to argue over a few dollars. What a great experience! After a bad experience with my previous optometrist, I walked into Eye Noon and told Elizabeth all of my troubles. She listened patiently and offered some sound reasoning as to why the reading glasses I've been using haven't felt right. I returned on Saturday for my check-up and the updating of my prescription. The first part involved looking into 3 devices with the assistance of one of the members of the staff and it was quick and easy. Dr. Tong performed the next part and I would describe her as a previous reviewer did: knowledgeable, caring and funny. She told me that updating my prescription was important but making sure that I was comfortable with that prescription was equally as important. She gave me numerous opportunities to fine-tune the prescription but honestly, she started with settings that were very close to the final prescription; each adjustment was very small -- sometimes indistinguishable from the previous one. After the exam, Stacy gave me a tip for making future visits go smoothly and Elizabeth and her associate found me the perfect frames. I had a lot of requirements but the ladies didn't give up until they found what I was looking for. I picked up my glasses 2 days later. They fit great, worked great and looked great but the real test was to read something later on. I started an historic novel a few days ago and with the new glasses, it seemed as if reading it was easier -- not only crystal clear but I felt as if I was in the room with characters, experiencing their every move. For once, I was COMFORTABLE reading and, as such, my reading speed as well as comprehension was noticeably improved! Can all of this be true because of some dedicated ladies at an eyeglass shop? I like going to the optometrist here but you can get cheaper frames on 6th and Normandie at Village Optical. The guy there only sales glasses, he's not an optometrist. Also, if the optometrist at Eye Noon recommends for you to get Pataday allergy eyedrops, you can get them cheaper elsewhere. They charged me $35 dollars when retail value it's $25. I was looking for an affordable local optometry to get an eye exam to check my overall eye health. I got lasik 5 years ago and was having sensitivity in my eyes. My eyes constantly burned when the area around my eyes got oily. I found Eye Noon on Yelp and decided to get my exam here due to it being open on a Saturday and the fact that there's free parking. I was seen by Dr. Jesse H. and he was was very informative and answered all of my concerns. He suggested I use eye drops and do warm compresses for my dry eyes. He also gave me a prescription for glasses which I was super bummed about since I got lasik not too long ago. Overall, great optometry and the price was pretty reasonable without insurance. Great optical with a wide range of prices. They specialize in Korean brand frames that can't be found in normal optical shops. There are also frames that are $80 or under too. They have a lab on site so glasses can be made quickly if they have your lenses. I purchased some really light weight metal round Ganeko Unit glasses that I wear everyday. I definitely recommend this store if you are looking for something a little different. There is also an optometrist who sees patients for eye exams and contact lens fittings. I recommend calling for an appointment due to COVID restrictions. Free parking is available in the lot outside the store or underground. The optometry office inside doesn't take insurance so it's affordable for those who don't have insurance (Under 100 for eye check and lens fitting) Very helpful in providing options for contact lens. I almost didn't want to post this review because it feels like this place should be kept secret. In desperate need of a new pair of specks, I set out to explore my options. I searched Groupon & called about 12-15 stores, I am a sucker for a good deal. There were multiple problems with the places I called. Limited exam options, expensive as all get out, etc. Then, I called this one place.... and the exam price was SIGNIFICANTLY less than target, Costco, even Groupon! As soon as I hung up with them I got ready and drove to my exam. The doctor was great. She made me feel like I was a friend. I can't say enough good things about her. The frame prices were insanely good, the deal I got was insanely good. I can't wait to get more! Best part?! I GOT MY GLASSES AFTER 3 HOURS! ... hours, not days. I should note - I have a low strength so I was able to get same day glasses. This place was SO wonderful, far better than most businesses in general. I've been having some mysterious health stuff possibly exacerbated by vision trouble, and decided to get an eye exam for the first time. I've been pretty scared about it. The two people who were working could tell I was stressed out, and they couldn't have been kinder. They made me an absolutely delicious little coffee and even squeezed my hands to comfort me as I told them how worried I've been. Their main doctor was running quite late due to a sudden road closure on the 5, but they went ahead with a series of tests on me within their expertise, and discounted them as well. They then took a second discount off my bill once I had seen the doc and bought new glasses, just to be kind. My exams were very thorough and everything was explained to me in great detail. Don't even want to give a star, but I'll have to leave at least 1 star in order to warn people to not come to this horrible place. THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The female owner is very rude and hates her customers. She tries to cheat them of their money, but she also treats them horribly. She only looks at her phone and only cares about friends who come over to visit her for fun. She does not help customers and when she does she's very disrespectful and looks down on them. Ever since the male owner left, the female owner has made me and other customers not want to come here anymore. Future customers should not come here and go to other optical places. If you don't want to be treated horribly and looked down upon, I advise that you go somewhere else.
