Dr. Sage is so calm, present, thorough, friendly, and supportive. Her care is evidence-based and she explains the "why" behind each recommendation. Like today, I went in for an annual physical, and she and her staff (MA Sandra is fabulous, too) explained each test, measurement, and the purpose and possible side effects of the vaccine I was given. The appointment started exactly on time and lasted 30 minutes, which is great. No one rushes you through! It is super handy having a lab in the same building. I just walked across the waiting area and was all able to get all of my lab work done almost immediately. Office is new, super clean, lovely lobby, free garage parking (if less than 90 minutes) and excellent COVID protocols in place including pre-screening phone calls, temperature taking, masks, distancing, hand sanitizer, and limited paperwork. We highly recommend Dr. Sage and our family feels super lucky to have found her!!

She agreed but I had to take a urine test. I received the results back the next day and the RX I use could not be found. She said that happens but I had to take it again. No problem. That was well over a week ago and my professional life is suffering. She insist the govt "audits" her for these test. This is BS. They think I'm a junky (even though I don't do any drugs and am randomly get tested by the company I work for). There are a few great docs there (Fair, Chan and the NGP) but I'm not a happy camper. She is almost fully recovered from her surgery the first week of October 2021 and Dr. Al-Kadari informed us he expects my mother to be back to 100% by Thanksgiving or Christmas 2021. This was only my second time meeting with Al-Kadari even though he was the main surgeon on my mother's case and she spent 3+ weeks in the hospital at Rush Medical Center. Since her hospital discharge October 20th, we have had three post-op visits with his associate, Ashley Knies. Ashley appeared nervous, insecure, and all around lacking intelligence. Our first visit with her she did nothing besides prescribe more opiates. Our second visit she remover the bandage but did not feel comfortable replacing my mother's wound vac stating she did not have proper supplies or bandages. Luckily, our home healthcare nurse, Sarah helped me pack/prepare the wound vac for the post-op visit, in addition to extra bandages. I tried to hand the bag with the wound vac to Ashley but she shook her head nervously so instead I handed a bandage to Ashley who emphasized, "I wish we had these, our bandages are not near as good as these." After our visit, I reviewed the appointment notes in "MyChart" and was shocked to see Ashley wrote we failed to bring my mother's wound vac to the appointment, which is an outright lie! Moreover, let's pretend we had not brought the wound vac or bandages, why are these supplies not at the hospital? Are they truly lacking necessary medical supplies or is it simply Ashley's incompetence placing blame elsewhere?

At the time she was off of North Avenue, but she moved to a more convenient Oak Park off of Lake St. I have to tell you that she is NOT the type of doctor that keeps you waiting in the reception area for 30+ minutes and then spends 5 minutes w/ you before flushing you out of the room. She comes in, sits down and starts a dialogue of how you're doing/feeling and if there were any questions for her. Her bedside manner, as it were, is perfection. She's very welcoming and you feel immediately at ease talking with her. She is amazing. In a time when doctors rush through their appointments, I feel lucky that I didn't have that experience. She seems to firmly believe in Health At Every Size, and has never commented on my weight. The nurses ask if I want to be weighed each time, but they always respect my decision. Dr. Kelly is kind, intelligent, analytical, and respectful. I have come to her with issues I'd be shy to take to a different doctor, but she has always treated me well. She's taken a critical look at medications and raised issues that other doctors had not (for example: one med might be causing some pain I'm experiencing). The office staff have worked me in when I needed to be seen right away. The office is comfortable with almost all chairs being bench-style without arms, and parking is easy. They have large blood pressure cuffs and use paper draping sheets instead of gowns when possible. My only quibbles are a.) the office is older (but functional and comfortable) and b.) I have found it best to schedule an appointment if I need forms filled out and hand them directly to Dr. Kelly. She's happy to take care of them, but in the past I'd dropped off a form and it was never completed. I still cannot recommend her highly enough!

The only negative thing I have to say is that it can be difficult to get an appointment through Edward/Elmhurst/Endeavor, and their billing is awful. BUT I can't blame the physician for that, and when we first started at Elmhurst hospital it was not the corporate conglomerate it has become, she is the only reason we have stayed with that organization. They couldn't process a credit card (HSA debit card) over the phone. So you have to walk a check over to the clinic and then send a copy of that to your insurance for an HSA claim. Great location. They check on ill patients with follow-up phone calls, make excellent referrals, and treat patients with respect and care. They have late in the day hours and weekend hours. Because it is a small, independent practice, I've had some issues with getting an on-call response after hours. Dr. Sassetti herself is loved by my whole family. She's warm, interested, straight up with what's going on, and seems to remember and care about each of us. She's on point with recent findings, practical about treatments and an outstanding diagnostician.
