They were able to ease my nerves as it's my first time ever getting these procedures. The team sent me all the instructions I needed prior to the procedure to help me prepare. The only downside to this experience is that they couldn't find my vein for a while, and there was no other option but to give anesthesia through IV. Some facilities have backup options like laughing gas. They ultimately found it, just in time for my procedure. The entire procedure took about an hour, I woke up pretty quickly, and I was also surprised how quickly they were able to get my results. They had images of the findings for me. The only thing that took a couple of days was biopsy. I'd totally come back to this facility in the future, and I'd recommend Dr. Ng and her team to anyone in the area looking for all things gastroenterology related.

Appointments that are critical, and should be scheduled with-in days, or a few weeks, are often only available months out. Well, I'm here getting an Electromyography (EMG). An EMG measures muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve's stimulation of the muscle. The test is used to help detect neuromuscular abnormalities. During the test, one or more small needles (also called electrodes) are inserted through the skin into the muscle. The test sounds worse than it is. Dr. Mercurio was excellent. I'm confident she will help. Our hope is to find out also why my left leg and foot are numb. I'm finished now and look forward to the results.

Didn't receive any notification that this change was taking effect or never would have sent a question. EDIT: I did a Google search and found this: "While most MyChart messages will remain free, replies that require medical expertise and more than five minutes of your provider's time may be billed, as we do for other medical services. If a MyChart message is billable, we will first bill your insurance provider, as we do for all other medical services."
