Apparently AO Smith assembler does not know what torque wrenches are for or he was being ugly and decided to make a few peoples lives miserable. Even though the problem is an AOSmith problem they say I might have to pay a small sum to get the exchange water heater. So I have to pay for delivery of the old unit back to Lowes, delivery of replacement to my home, and then pay for installation.....How's that for a 6 year warranty?

I can't remember the gentleman's name but he was so kind. He fixed the leak and corrected an error on how the pipes were configured. The price was very reasonable. I did quickly notice - what is his warranty on it (not written down) He said, "of course, if you need anything, just call" I asked him to put it in writing and he simply ignored me. Now that I need service (minor) he absolutely refuses to respond, let alone come. Very strange and unacceptable for a $1,300 job. FyI No response .
