The backpacks that I looked at were a bit larger and heavier than what I am looking for. I perused several sandals and the first pair of Teva sandals I saw were ginormous. The sandals look like they were swallowing my feet. The sandals at this retailer are likely meant more for practicality and comfort rather than their style. I found a second pair of Teva sandals that weren't as wide and fit my feet better. They are not the cutest, but they felt comfortable when I tried them on. The staff are amazing. I was greeted by three employees. The first one greeted me when I entered the store. The second one asked if I needed anything when I passed by him while I was shopping. The last one Krissy asked if I needed help when I was looking at the sandals. Krissy informed me about their lifetime membership which cost $30 and their current $30 new member bonus card which you get with a $50 purchase. Instead, we got great customer service and sympathetic and helpful ski boot fitter. Alex waz great and she listened and helped. She heat molded the boot, putting a piece of foam around the front of the foot, so the boot molding could expand more when heated. We went back skiing the next day and the fix worked amazing. My daughter said the boots felt great and the tightness was gone.

There is metered street parking available right by the entrance or you can try to find free street parking a block over and walk. This is apparently the largest Patagonia store on the East Coast and they even have their own Baltimore patch! They have sales on top of their outlet prices as well but just keep an eye on what they serial is actually on sale such as fleeces instead of the entire store being on additional sale. I came by for a yoga class on a Sunday morning (bring your own mat!). This was hosted by Andrea and attendance was about 15 people and was a very pleasant peaceful start to the morning! He explained that all Northface coats and jackets had a lifetime warranty and even items that are Northface, but purchased from another store, could be brought into the store for a warranty claim. At checkout, he offered my 10% off for signing up for emails and the like. Based on the service, selection, quality, and value (especially when sales promotions are on), I am a loyal customer. It was kind of painful and took several days to finally get the purchase approved. In any event, the luggage was shipped in a timely fashion and arrived unscathed. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly what we wanted and some of the features weren't visible via the website so we decided to return it. Since this would have been a fairly large shipment, we checked to see if we could return it to a North face store. The customer sales representative for North face said that we could return it to a North face store but not an outlet that just sells North face items. So, today we made the 2 and 1/2 hour round trip to Annapolis to return the luggage. After parking and schlepping the luggage about a quarter-mile through the mall we found the North face store. The customer service rep at the store then told us we couldn't return it to the store because of an online discount. That didn't make much logical sense since in effect we had paid less than the luggage was worth but we're only asking to be reimbursed for what we had paid. Fortunately, the more senior representative at the store told us that he would ship the luggage back to North face at no cost to us. We just wouldn't be reimbursed until the luggage was received at the warehouse. Not optimum, but certainly better than lugging the shipment back to our house and having to package it ourself. All in all the experience was somewhat frustrating And certainly a waste of a few hours of my life that I will never get back.
