Upon arriving, I was greeted by an employee who asked if I needed anything. He brought me a pair of sneakers that I was interested in. Shortly thereafter, another seasoned employee who was previously helping another customer asked how I was doing. He asked me a few questions about the fit and feel and suggested that I go up a size. I also asked him socks and waterproof spray. He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I was very pleased with the exceptional and courteous service that I received by both employees. The store is smaller than other local standalone athletic stores in the area. The one complaint that I have about this location is that the windows are bare with no blinds so it was very bright to see the sneakers against the windows. It is particularly challenging for those of us who have sensitive eyes. I had a hard time seeing the merchandise. Full price unworn items are available for exchange, store, credit, or refund within two weeks of purchase. Full price worn items can be returned for store credit or exchange within two weeks of purchase. A perk of this retailer is that they offer a loyalty rewards program where when you have made a purchase total of $250 you get a reward of $25 to use for future in-store purchases. Unlike other retailers, you don't have to pay for the loyalty reward program. I will definitely be shopping here going forward for my athletic shoes. I…read morestopped by the Harford Road location to grab them and was told they were only available at this location. So, a few days later, my kids and I headed there. When I entered this location, the owner, Gary, was working. He was talking to a prospective vendor so we perused the shop while he worked with him. My kids were enamored with the boards and, feeling generous, I figured I'd get one for them. After assisting the vendor, Gary turned his attention to us. I told him what shoes I wanted and the size and he quickly handled that. Then I started asking about the boards. He asked some questions and then was able to make recommendations that allowed me to eliminate a number of boards on the walls. Then I had my kids select one. After getting the board, Gary showed us the skate ramp in back. He gave me a card and told me that if the kids ever wanted to do lessons he could work with them. Such a great experience! Next time I need shoes or skate equipment, Vu will be the first place I go.

On top of finding a style I liked, they were having a sale that I could buy one and get one half off. Needless to say, I got two of the styles in different colors and headed to the counter. The big thing here that irked me was the line at the register. There was a full on line for checkout with only one register open. The employee was working as quickly as she could, but what was off putting about it was that there was another employee mere feet away. Acting like he was blind and couldn't see the line while going through shoes at the counter.

I also had a question as to whether both were part of the buy-1-get-1-half-off special, but honestly I like them so much I would have bought them anyway. 1 guy was on his head phones and gave me instructions not to bother him until I found what I wanted. Another guy pointed at something and then ran to the back to straighten or something. And a girl, another employee there, ignored be even though I said "excuse me" three times to get her attention. After I gave up and walked away, the girl looked up, looked at me like I was crazy to try to talk to her, and gave me the Gen Z stare on steroids after I was half way across the store. As I said, I was the only customer in the store. I realize none of those kids wanted to be there, or wanted to work, and were probably trained by mgmt to ignore customers and just straighten or get ready for closing an hour ahead of time, but I finally gave up and left. Maybe I'll order them online, or from another Off Broadway, or find look-alikes elsewhere since everyone is selling pretty much the same styles. Gee, I wonder why in-person sales are down? Just close the effing stores if you don't want to sell anything.
