Under new management and it shows! We hadn't been in over a year so we decided to give it another try. Sat in the restaurant for dinner and were greeted by the entire staff (including the amazing chef). They started us off with an incredibly tasty, free, bean dip, salsas and chips. We then quickly got our entrees- steak tacos, Mexican spicy sausage tacos and a chicken burrito. The tacos came with this wonderfully rich, tangy cactus and veggies on the side. I'd go back just for the cactus! The longanzana (spicy sausage) was juicier and IMO better than chorizo. Less spicy and more flavor. The tortillas are hand made. Honestly best I've had on the east coast (including NYC). The chicken burrito was also fantastic. We were blown away by the quality and can't wait to go back for another family meal. They said they'd have desserts soon so can't wait to try that. read more

Tacos across the United States have certainly upped their game. Where once the thought of tacos would inspire Taco Bell, now we have fantastic tacos across this country. Dos Banditos bring excellent tacos to this part of New Jersey. Growing up in the Garden State, I must say that I never thought that I would find tacos of this caliber here. Please do not misunderstand, I am not saying these are the best tacos that I have ever had in my life. However, these tacos are very good. And when I say very good, I mean very good. These tacos are so good. They will have your soul dancing to an imaginary mariachi band and making you wish that sombreros were a fashionable fashion statement. If you are seeking quality Mexican food comma head over this way periods I promise that you will not be disappointed. With a full stomach, I happily give it four () stars and I so wish that those stolarz could be wearing sombreros. I recommend that you give them a try sooner than later. read more

Over the past couple months my husband and I passed dos banditos multiple times saying we need to try this place. Tonight we finally tried it and holy smokes I regret not trying it sooner! We ended up getting take out and live over 10min away. We ordered the chicken tacos, short rib taco Doris snd ckn tostada! One was better than the next. The food wasn't super hot (bc of my drive) and it was still excellent. Eating it there is probably even more amazing. Each dish came with a different homemade salsa that was just as good as the food. I was pleasantly surprised how much meat they had in the tacos and tostada. The food was incredibly tasty, good quality and fresh. I can't wait to try other options. First time enjoying the fabulous food at Dos Banditos! Super Fresh food that is prepared by people who know what they're doing. Guacamole was home-made as well as the chips and the little chip bowl it came in. We devoured everything...onto the Street Corn, Black Beans, Rice and Ribeye Tacos. Unfortunately this missed the mark for us. We went as a family and hoped to enjoy al fresco dining and some yummy food. The highlight: the warm and friend young man at the counter. The low point: the lack of flexibility to modify a menu item (ie no onions or no sauce) We ordered a ton of food, a few apps like the corn salsa that was delish. The fish sandwich, which looked amazing, but it came with a spicy sauce. When we ordered they refuse to make any modifications, like excluding a sauce. So we ended up having a meh time, because even though my kids are adventurous eaters and wanted the fish sandwich when they insisted it had to be served as "described on the menu" my kid couldn't eat it after the first bite because it was too spicy. I agree with the other reviewer that the cheese on the quesadilla is different. It is solid slice that doesn't melt well instead of the goey cheese most people expect. Note to the owner: please be more flexible we'd like to come back. read more

The refried beans are amazing 5 stars on them! As for everything g else unfortunately it was not good. Maybe this is surviving because there aren't many options in fair haven. You need to offer regular quesadillas for kids. They don't like the white plastic cheese. The guac tasted like winded and dish soap it was fresh looking but was awful. My flounder torts was fishy . Fish shouldn't taste fishy. The chicken was like Chipotle's . I spent $60 for 1 adult and 2 kids. I should have just went to surf taco like my daughter requested but I wanted to try this place so badly. Sorry guys. Make some small changes and you may last. read more

Good authentic Mexican food. Great presentation. Unfortunately I did not love their customer service or their lack of a Children's menu. For our family of 5 to dine here for lunch with one soda and no other drinks it was $92. There should be a kid's menu as well as better accommodations such as the ability to sub a flour tortilla for a corn tortilla. That being said the food was fresh and yummy and hopefully they figure out how to be more family friendly. read more

I really like this place. A friend of mine that is a chef had recommended this place. Some of the things I've had: Tortilla Soup (such great flavor. Spice but not too crazy), Trio of Salsas (I would describe them as red, green and dark. Such varied and delicious flavors from each), Chicken Tinga Quesadilla (again, great flavor), Shrimp Torta (hearty, flavorful with great shrimp). The turnaround is very quick. They even have outside dining - which will be nice come spring. Inside the crew is friendly. Honestly I just need more salsa and the soup. So good. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and staff. Placed an order and 6:40pm for a delivery for dinner. Nice girl on the phone said it would be 50 mins to an hour. No problem. I tell her my apartment buzzer is broken and to please have the delivery driver call me upon arrival and left my number. It's 8pm, no call, no food. My boyfriend calls the restaurant to see if it was on its way yet, and the man on the phone says the driver brought the food back because no one answered. No one called me once, they didn't even call me once the food was brought back, they just were never going to inform me. Thank god it was a cash order or I would have been charged and probably been left hanging. Not to mention they argued with my boyfriend who was insistent that I never received a call to only hear the delivery driver in the background talking badly about us. I am very surprised with how bad this food was. It was very expensive and looked great in the photos online. However the chicken in enchiladas had absolutely zero seasoning and was just bad. Thee scallop ceviche did not taste fresh in fact it tasted the opposite of fresh. We threw this meal away. read more

I live right in Redbank around the corner. For some reason I did not even know this place existed until two days ago. I've ordered here twice already and every time it was nothing short of amazing. If you're from the area you know there's a lot of great Mexican food, especially authentic. I have been so pleased and grateful to find this place. I've ordered the tostadas twice, the chicken enchilada soup, the street corn (my fav) and the Fresh juices which I chose pineapple and mango which was also fresh and delicious.
