This is our second time at Cypress and it definitely won't be our last! We are from out of town, but every time we are in Charlotte, one of my favorite places to visit is cypress. The drinks are always great! This time I tried the espresso martini and because this bar doubles as a coffee shop, there was a beautiful, strong coffee flavor. I also always have to get a mimosa when we come - they are on special during the weekends for $4 and they are STRONG. The atmosphere is a lovely boho chic and they have a nice patio out back, weather permitting. The bartender/owner has always been pleasant and she even took the time to snap some pics of our group while manning the bar. The only feedback I can give is to have more nonalcoholic options. We had someone in our party who doesn't drink alcohol, so a mocktail would be a nice addition to the menu as well as coffee.

Had the chance to stop by Cypress when we were touring Dillworth a few weeks ago. It's such a cute, small little place slinging some creative cocktails. The ambiance is a modern, boho, floral vibe with a pretty open inside and patio (would be great in the summertime). In addition to cocktails they also specialize in coffee/espresso drinks so it's great anytime of day! I got an Andes mint espresso martini and the rest of our table of regular espresso martinis. The regular ones were delicious and frothy but my mint version had a really strong mint extract taste. I would have preferred the regular one with shaved Andes mint on top vs adding any artificial mint - that made the flavor super overpowering. Overall everything else we got was really good so I'm excited to go back when it's warmer and try their spring menu on the patio!

Cypress was a part of our self guided food tour of the Dilworth neighborhood in Charlotte and what a gem of a find it was! Cocktails and coffee with a side of vintage furniture and the most instagrammable backdrops! Coffee and cocktails - try an espresso martini to get the best of both worlds! I opted for a French 75, which was light and delicious with lovely presentation. The bartender was super sweet and attentive! I also asked if she could make a latte iced for me and she did. I got vanilla and it was yummy! I love the combination of booze and coffee bevs. Don't know what could be better.

What a fun little cocktail spot! Love that they have coffee options as well. I'd love to see the add some other non alcoholic options but loved that the bartender was enthusiastic to take a stab at a Mocktail!

I don't often give five stars, but I loved Cypress, and really enjoyed a recent girls night out. I love fun drinks and coffee, so I feel like I had the best of both worlds in a lively, chic bar ('bar' doesn't sound like the right word). The barista was friendly and made excellent drink recommendations. Outside of the live music, which was too loud for small space like Cypress, I stand by my 5 stars. If you love fun, unique bars, support Cypress and businesses like it.

Such a great vibe in here! Located in the old Bulldog Dilworth location they still offer a wide variety of beverages from beer to spirits to coffee or you can do what I did and order an espresso martini to combine the latter two! The space is small but charming with cute decor and a neighborhood atmosphere. They host events on weeknights from trivia to wine Wednesdays so there's never a bad night to stop by aside from Monday when they are closed so stop on by and check it out for yourself!

Welcome to Yelp, Cypress Drinkery! My group made a pit stop here for a bit during our food adventures-- so glad we did! First and foremost.. there is something here for everyone. Craft beer list is impressive, the cocktail list is sure to please and if you're just in the need for caffeine, fresh brewed coffee -- black, americano, cappuccino, latte, espresso.. you name it! Pictured is the Strawberry Fields (cypress house vodka, st. germain, muddled strawberry, topped with prosecco), the Cypress Punch (captain morgan's spiced rum, barcardi rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, cherry and lime juice) and their Friday/Saturday $4 mimosa special. The decor is boho style and sure to send you into your zen space. Need some vitamin-D? Skip to the back to the fantastic patio. Cypress Drinkery boasts A LOT of space for everyone to keep it intimate with your party or mix and mingle. We'll be back!

Great unexpected spot! Looks unassuming, but can compete with any of those uptown bars, and without fighting for a spot at the bar. Highly recommend!

They've been here 2.5 years and from my first experience , they are absolutely crushing it. Dim lighting, beautiful bar design in a smaller space, and 90's-2000's hip hop was the perfect mix for a chill Friday night. Niaget took care of us at the bar (please forgive me if I got the spelling wrong!) and she is clearly a well trained mixologist. Cocktail menu is unique and the ingredients might seem a little far out, but trust the process. The drink pictured below was a bourbon-based (Old Forrester) custom cocktail that Niaget threw together. Hints of pineapple & mint mixed with my favorite brand bourbon made this an honest treat. I will be tossing this cocktail bar onto my favorites list and can't wait to go back.

We were a walk in but were able to score a table outside which was perfect. The drinks are good and the staff members work as a team so there's not one primary waitress. I ordered a custom drink where I told the server what I liked and the bartender created something based on my likes. It was a "fruity" tequila based drink and I enjoyed it. We were given a bowl of complementary kettle corn to enjoy with our drinks. The music was a mix of r&b and hip hop and was loud enough to vibe but didn't overpower the conversations. Random Notes: Parking is validated and the hidden bathroom was so cute. The inside is perfect for selfies lol.

Being there felt like I was in my house, from the plants, to them playing Beverly Hills Cop on the projector and all of the Black artists on the walls. It was very refreshing!!! It's so rare to go to a business and see anything familiar so this was truly inspiring. We stayed for about 30 mins because we got there right before they closed. It was fun to explore the hotel rooms and just be in this dope energy. I didn't have a full cocktail, just sipped and tried a few of my friends. I can see this being a great date night spot, or some where to go to unwind and just catch the vibes. I wish it was bigger but it's a cute spot for sure!! I was super surprised about the parking lot in the back too. That has to be very helpful for them in Plaza Midwood area. Will definetly be back!!

The issues we faced were not having a reservation - the options online were wide open so we thought it was safe to show up - and had to wait a long time. In hindsight, I should've went ahead and made the reservation, so I'll take responsibility, but was disappointing for the experience to be so different than we expected. We were able to sit outside and waited for about 40 mins to get our table. Service was very slow. It just felt like they were really understaffed. We were there for probably 2ish hours and only got 1 drink (the one outside) as it was so hard to flag down our waitress, etc. I suspect that this place, having recently received awards / gone viral, is a victim of a huge influx of people stopping by. I wanted to love it! I'd go back during off hours and definitely make a reservation. The vibe was really cool, and the music was great. Parking is questionable, there's a gravel lot that is shared with the restaurant next door. We parked on the street, was unclear if they tow there or not.

I had high hopes for this restaurant when I made a reservation for Valentine's Day, but…read moreunfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. While I take full responsibility for arriving 15 minutes late, I was shocked at how rudely the hostess--who we later learned was the manager--handled the situation. Rather than a simple acknowledgment of the delay, or improbability of getting a table, she made a point to shame us, emphasizing that accommodating us would be an extra burden for her. This set an uncomfortable tone from the start. When she begrudgingly seated us at a table that had somehow magically become available, she made another unnecessary comment, implying that I should do my part to not make her job so difficult again. My partner was immediately put off and suggested we leave, but I decided to give the restaurant another chance, assuming the manager might just be having a rough night. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The food, best described as uninspired frozen bar fare from the main Duckworth's kitchen, took over 30 minutes to arrive--and even then, it was served before our drinks. When the drinks finally did arrive, they were nothing exceptional. I ordered a French 75, and my partner had a Paloma, only to realize that even the drinks had come from downstairs at Duckworth's. Given the restaurant's supposed reputation, I was surprised that it didn't have its own bar, unlike how things are set up at The Cellar. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was our waitress, who was pleasant and professional. However, what puzzled us the most was that despite the manager's initial reluctance to seat us, nearly half of the restaurant remained empty throughout the evening. With at least three or four servers working in a relatively small space, it was clear that staffing wasn't the issue--so why the hostility? It was hard not to wonder if other potential diners had been similarly turned off by the manager's deplorable attitude and the underwhelming menu. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths--both literally and figuratively. Between the lackluster food and drinks, and the uncalled-for attitude from management (she is bald and was wearing a dress on the evening of 2/14/25 at 9:30PM-11PM), I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.
