An evening put into a lot of turmoil because we made a reservation for the Elizabeth Street location because the website still lists it as open and takes reservations. We arrived with a party of eight only to find out they shut down operations three weeks ago. As a restaurant you all need to do better in updating your website and reservation system. read more

This morning I went to lunch at the 1900 Mexican Grill restaurant, the one in the park. I was lucky enough to have my favorite waitress, Anna, serve me; if I had gotten the other waitress, I would have asked for Anna. She always provides excellent service with her big smile and makes you feel right at home. Ask for her! She's the best. read more

We went in Memorial Day and the restaurant was completely empty. Other people came in and left also. The woman was going to seat us and we told her nevermind we were leaving and she said "Good Riddance". Now we had only stepped in and changed our minds to sit down and the woman who came out to greet us treated us so poorly with that comment. They lost our business and that of our family and friends now forever. Now we know why the restaurant was empty! We ended up at Pacos Tacos and had a fabulous experience!!! read more

After several years I returned for dinner with some friends and would say everything was okay, definitely some good things, yet some not so good. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Thursday night for some drinks and dinner and were lucky to get the last booth available. So, the place was crowded at 6:30pm, a good sign, right? You would think. It definitely doesn't seem homemade. While enjoying our cocktails and chips we placed our order. Our order included fajitas, taquitos, and combo meals. It definitely took a while for our order to arrive, but once it arrived the plates were hot and everything looked good. This is where things were not so good. Although the plates were hot, the food really wasn't. And, who serves fajitas on a plate and not a sizzling platter???? The combo meal taco had minimal meat and the burrito was one of the smallest I have seen in a while. Overall the food and service was okay. With so many great Mexican and Tex Mex restaurants 1900 is okay. I am not saying I wouldn't return, but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

This place has the best chicken soup! The portion size is huge for the price and it's absolutely flavorful and delicious. It comes with a lot of fresh onions chopped on top, which I love. The chicken is finely shredded and fresh. Whether you're not feeling well or wanting something comforting, I highly recommend getting this. I went on a Saturday lunch. It was not crowded at all. Ok, definitely NOT authentic Mexican food. I would say it caters to the American crowd, but you definitely won't see any Mexicans or Latinos eating there. It's very watered down "Mexican" food. They earned a strike immediately when I realized they didn't have Horchata. And a 2nd strike when I didn't see Birria on the menu. I won't lie the Queso con Chorizo dip was good, but their chips were border line stale and probably out of a bag with ZERO salt on them. Like I said they're very watered down. Our server was nice, she did very good for having such a big party and her attitude was good. Personally my carnitas was dry and lacking flavor and the pickled onions could be excluded. The portions are on the small side too. I would not return. Too many good Mexican restaurants in Charlotte, this isn't one of them. read more

They are always slow ish when we go for dinner/lunch. It's a semi small place, drinks are good. Food is decent although if you are sharing a dish, they charge 3$ or so for cost split which makes no sense. We stopped eating here and have only been doing take out just because of that. I can eat at 1900 Mexican Grill anytime. The food is authentic and the drinks are great, whether it's for lunch or dinner! Anything from tacos, to enchiladas to burritos and many more options. The guacamole and queso are amazing! The staff is super helpful, follow-up with you to make sure you have everything you need, and provide suggestions for dishes. Its located in the Harris Teeter shopping center, along with other restaurants and shopping, right on Park Road. There is also a large parking lot, so no issues finding parking.
