If you're handicapped and you bought an actual ticket for a seat, you're out of luck! There was literally NOT a seat! It was a concrete area to park a wheelchair. Not all handicapped people use a wheelchair. Some of us use a walker and would need a seat. Even though my tickets have actual seat numbers and I chose seats, there are no seats. They advertise that it is easy in and easy out, well let me tell you, it might have been SLIGHTLY easy in (we got here two hours early), BUT it is not worth your money because it is NOT easy out. I have been to MANY concert venues in MANY different states and this seemed like a solid 4 venue. We came to see Luke Bryan 9-8-18. Not sure if all concerts have FREE PARKING but this was a huge bonus for a frequent concert-goer. (VIP parking was $40) but honestly, I didn't feel like the general parking was *that* much further. Lastly with the parking, I liked the PAVED lots! So many times I've had gravel, grass, mud, etc. On a rainy day like we had, paved parking is great! My friend and I had seats in section 205 (along the wall). Eh... we actually stayed in the seats for about 2 minutes. I didn't feel like the view was great and the sound wasn't as pure. We had friends in the lawn and actually forged our SEATS to stay in the LAWN the whole show. (Crazy right??) I personally I didn't buy any food or drinks. $13.75 Tall boys were all I noticed. Not sure the prices on other items. Restrooms situation... the line for the girls was HUUUUUGE. Not sure if there were other restrooms but we instead went to the port-o-potties instead. Upon entering the port-o area, I heard a girl say "That was disgusting" and I expected the worst... wrong! Mine was good! Very clean! No smell! The hand sanitizers were all out but none the less, this was probably the cleanest port-o-potty I've been in. Plus, there were LOTS of Johns. Maybe the ones near the entrance were heavily used... walk a bit further and maybe they'll be nicer. We will be back in a couple weeks to see Dierks and Brothers Osborne. Can't wait! read more

I recently came with my son to watch Lana Del Rey live, Amazing performance by the way! Would 100% recommend those curious to go see her live! Now for the pavilion itself, I was quite disappointed, weather it was because of parking, the overall venue or just the experience I had. We bought the VIP onsite parking pass for 50$ before the show. I was quite excited because we were only about a two minute walk from the entrance and the parking lot was quite empty. I initially thought that this would mean I'd get an easy way out of the pavilion once the concert was over with, WRONG! I was stuck in the parking lot for about an hour. Majority of the time traffic was at a complete stop and there was very little guidance from parking attendants. I saw a post that some people were in the parking lot for at least two hours before leaving, which to me is absolutely insane! Now for the seats, we bought lawn seats and were actually very impressed. We were some of the first people in the venue So we were able to get perfect seats. I got two lawn chair rentals for a total of 40$. Unfortunately on this day there was a pretty big storm that caused the concert to be delayed by about an hour. We were forced to shelter under the pavilion itself, People were shoving and pushing because there was not enough room for that many people to shelter. When we were finally able to return to our rental chairs, they had been "stolen" by two girls. A short confrontation later and we got out seats back. When the show started, I looked back to see lawn completely crowded, i'm not sure if tickets were oversold or if lawn should genuinely be that packed. If purchasing lawn seats I would recommend you get there about an hour before the gates open or but I up entrance! -- especially knowing how crowded the line to just get in was The venue itself was also in a sketchy area that I personally wouldn't trust, there was also a lack of security present both in the parking lot and inside the venue, so please keep that in mind when leaving valuables in the car. I will also add that the sound system itself is only subpar and really wasn't as good as I had hoped. Now for the viewing angle, There were 4+ screens to get the perfect view of the performer which I LOVED! The section of lawn I was in also wasn't too far from the stage so I got a pretty good view of the stage itself. After waiting in line for about ten minutes, I purchased a hotdog, popcorn and two Pepsis (for about 50$ in addition to the fact they don't carry coke) but when I tell you its the best concert food I've ever had, I'm not lying! Overall, the venue is an alright place to go to watch concerts, I just think you need to keep in mind the high prices for things like parking, food, upgrades, etc. It'd also be smart to pay attention to other thing such as weather conditions ( just so you don't get rained out). If you do decide to go, I hope you have an amazing time! read more

Ok, I'm likely to piss off some Texans with this opinion, but why in the H*** does it make sense to anyone in this state to have an outdoor venue for concerts during the Texas summer? With fricking 104° for a high temperature the day we went to see Heart at Dos Equis, insanity is the only explanation I can think of. It's not fun, it's not comfortable, I sweat down my back continuously, and Dos Equis wants $5 for a 12oz water bottle that you can buy in a case of 24 for $4.99 at Winco. Why do artists book here at all when there are many indoor venues available throughout the area? The bands must be incredibly uncomfortable under the stage lights. We saw The Script here one summer (from Dublin) and Danny the lead singer was wearing black and said between songs in his Irish accent, "I'm meltin' man, I don't know how you do it!" My question is not so much "how", but "why"? With the rant out of my system, I'll move to the positives of this venue. Parking is not horrible and we were not charged. We sat in the general admission lawn seating and access was easy. Video screens made the band visible from everywhere. And the nice thing about outdoor sound is it's easy to talk over it while still loud enough you won't disturb people around you if you do. Exiting the parking lot was also quick. A few more constructive thoughts. Lines to enter were inexcusably inefficient. An awkwardly positioned series of metal detectors create an extremely long wait for anyone standing "on the right" (I'm not lying), while people "on the left" moved through quickly. Some signage or some employees to equalize the groups would have helped greatly. And, for some reason there's only one entrance to the venue. So it's a cattle call getting in. Arrive earlier than you would at an arena to get in before the show starts. To be honest, I always groan internally when a band I want to see is playing here. It's like a weird dissociative thing Texans do when they plan an outdoor wedding or sit in the outfield at the Ballpark (the seats will actually burn your skin) *as if* it's not oppressively hot in July and August. What makes it worth it is seeing an artist you love. Heart sounded fantastic, especially considering the Wilson Sisters are in their late 60's. I just have to fight past certain things to be able to enjoy it. Three stars for the good sound, fair sized bathrooms, free parking with good access, and the rest is pretty much average for a concert venue. read more

This was my first concert at this venue. Luckily I read plenty of reviews about it, so I came prepared with my soft cooler, filled with ice & bottles of water! I did however not want to be late, so we didn't stop to grab a bite before arriving. We ended up having 3 tacos from Fuzzy's & 1 pepperoni pizza from Campisi's. Neither of which were worth $11, but lesson learned! Everything else about venue was great, their fast lane saved me from waiting in line for 1/2 hour! And it was only $15 per person! This place is the worst. Got there early to get in line for post Malone and there was 0 directions of where to go. We waited in the self made line in the shade for 5 hours. Then suddenly some employee came out while setting up the VIP stand and took all the people with fast lane and put us in the 108 degree sun for 2+ hours while VIP got let in. NO WATER AND NO SHADE! While in the pit they were thank god handing out waters and spraying misters. But a total of 6 people collapsed around me. 1 ended up having a seizure and another was a little girl. My recent trip to the Starplex (or Sweatplex as some call the open air sauna-like concert venue) was pretty good! The recent renovation of adding more food and drink vendors plus better seating was a big hit with me and my date at the recent Chicago and Doobie brothers concert. Still lacking was some type of a sun screen/trees/wall to block the evening/setting sun and some way of moving more air within the venue. Luckily it was not a sell out and there was some room/air space. The addition of more drink and food vendors was much needed. If you don't mind spending $8 for a Fletcher's corn dog and $18 for a craft beer you will be thrilled! I felt those prices were a tad high. I still think they need more seating near the vendors in the shade with more moving air. I did check the box for "good for dancing" as the aisles always are wide enough for the exhibitionists to dance the night away until the ushers make them sit down. The rows have a bit more room for moving AND the seat backs have cup holders to keep your beer cans from getting kicked over. The sound system was great and the video screens were decent from our seats in the middle of the venue. I have 3 more events there this year and looking forward to them. read more

I was a guest at your Pavillion on Friday, June 2nd. It was my 1st time there and the experience was horrible. As an avid concert goer I have experienced concert venues all over the world. When we arrived an hour before the doors opened, the line was wrapped around the building wih excitement. The issue was not with the line but with the venues process of entrance into the pavillion. We purchased fast passes to allow for more expedited entry. However, there was only 1 person managing the Fastpass line. The equipment was not working properly and the attendant was allowing people to cut the line!!!! As a result, the line was not "Fast". The regular entrance line was moving faster. This is hustle! Leaving was an actual nightmare. There were not enough officers to properly control traffic. For an event of this size, there should have been adequate staffing to control the crowd and ensure safety of your patrons. read more

Pretty decent! The venue is pretty big, and the general parking was free at gate 11. There are some staff on golf carts offering rides to the front of the doors for $5 each person. Normally I would have skipped, but the heat in August helped mitigate any irritation from walking in the heat. Moreover, it seemed like a rational decision. The inside is typical venue, and I recommend the seats if you want to see the artists in person at a reasonable distance because the lawn is kind of far, but luckily there are a few big screens that in viewpoint. The food and drinks are typically priced for big events, aka expensive. Apparently there are two women's bathrooms, and one side has more stalls. Anyways, I recommend going to the bathroom with more stalls as a woman. We left early, so it was a easy walk back to the car, and easy to navigate out of the parking lot since no line had formed yet. They also had small vendors selling some food and popsicles if you so desired right after the show. Overall fun casual venue. read more

Drink and pee in the A/C! Outdoor concerts in the TX heat can be killers, and there is no substitute for A/C! The IceHouse has A/C! It is well worth the extra $$ to buy IceHouse access for all of our outdoor concerts. The IceHouse website says they have beer/wine only. Thankfully their internet info is inaccurate; the IceHouse has a full bar. Comfortable chairs and couches, with scattered tables to sit your drinks on. Just don't set the drink down for long; you can't leave the bar with any drinks (finish everything in the bar). The only bad thing is they no longer serve food. They used to sell great nachos, but now you have to buy the food outside and bring it with you. I wish they still sold food! read more

I really enjoyed this venue. I took my mom to a concert here for her birthday and the venue is just big enough to feel like a big concert without being overwhelming. I really liked the option of the flushable Porta potty's on top of the regular bathrooms- it helped with the lines a little bit although the lines were still VERY long. For every positive about this venue I can give you an equally annoying thing about it as well. Parking is usually included in your ticket price, which is cool because with most venues it isn't but getting in and out can be a nightmare. I had a friend spend over an hour trying to get in, and missed Alice Cooper who he went to the concert for. The lawn, you can see really well and usually is really cheap for tickets. During certain parts of the year and shows its actually kind of nice to have lawn seats. Yet if it is raining, your going to get wet because of their rain or shine deal. Also you do have to deal with people walking in front of you, as well as if your at certain kinds of concerts possible lawn mosh pits. The staff is usually pretty nice, there has been a couple of occasions where we had seats in the first couple rows at a not very crowded concert & the guards let us into the pit to get closer. They have a fuzzys tacos and usually a food truck, on top of their regular in house vendors, be preped for expensive drinks & such so plan accordingly. On hotter days I've seen those thermos water jugs out and about but I think that depends on what kind of event it is. read more

I came here on July 1 for a Chris Brown concert and it was awesome! Plenty of vendors all over selling drinks and food. Plenty of bathroom stalls and people in there actually cleaning them to make sure they are working. I sat in the 100 section and I was glad being that it was 104 degrees that day. My section was cool and pretty close to the stage. I had a nice screen on the right to help me see the concert better. I took one star off due to the OVER PRICED food they were serving. I know next time to eat before i go and only order drinks. Ill definitely come back to this venue again for a concert and I know where to sit too to make sure i have good seats. Oh parking was a nightmare when leaving the concert. I would definitely take an Uber or have a friend drop/pick me up. read more

I'm puzzled by the low reviews for this venue. The only thing that other reviewers have mentioned that actually happened to us was the heat. Yes, it was HOT. We went to see Jimmy Buffett the first weekend of June. We were seated in section 200, Row BB, which is fairly close to the top of the seated section near the East gate entrance. The seats themselves were very spacious and comfy. I am a large woman, so that was appreciated. The staff were all extremely helpful, courteous, and friendly, which says a lot when you have a job where you have to be outside in the summer in Texas. I was so impressed with the staff. Parking wasn't anywhere near as bad as other reviewers have mentioned. In fact, it was a piece of cake. We arrived two hours before the show and had no problem parking in Gate 12. The others were already pretty full as they were tailgating, which is also to be expected for a big name like Jimmy Buffett. The walk to our seats from the car was about a half mile. Not bad at all, but if you don't like the long walks, you may want to keep that in mind. It did seem to be a bit of a hassle leaving the parking lots, but we followed some cars that obviously knew a better way out and we were out in no time. The only thing I did NOT like was the walk back from the east entrance. Kind of scary and lots of cars on the road. It's safer to leave from the west entrance. The food options were plentiful, and yes very expensive, although the drinks were huge, so it really didn't bother me to pay for it. They tell you on the website that you can bring water bottles. That is incorrect, so be aware of it when you come. They made people dump their water out before going on. I thought that was rude, especially since it's hot and people can easily get dehydrated. I mean, let's ignore the smell of POT running through the entire place but make people dump their water! That's not cool. Overall, I would say that the pros outweigh the cons and I would go here again, but not in the summer unless it's someone I really want to see. Jimmy Buffett was worth it, but yes I got so hot that I had to leave early. The sound quality is not that great, which others have mentioned, but then again if it's someone I really want to see, I can overlook it. This is definitely my least favorite venue in the DFW area. The only reason I continue to go is for some reason all my favorite artists decide to perform here. Reasons I dislike this venue: 1. Sound quality is terrible. Seems like no matter where your seat is, the sound is always distorted. Hard to hear the artists clearly when they are speaking and you can really only sing along if you already knew the lyrics to the songs. 2. Prices. Listen, I know it's a concert venue but I really don't know where they get off charging $11 for two tacos or $13 for a beer. There's up-charging and then there's just plain greedy. This is the latter. 3. Restrooms. I want to be one of those girls who gets all dolled up to come here but then I remember that several times during the show I'll have to use the filthy, hot ladies room and all that goes out the window. Again, I realize there is a lot of traffic in and out of this place but I've been to other venues (AAC, Cowboy Stadium, etc.) who do a much better job of providing a clean and comfortable restroom environment. 4. Lawn. I have lived in other states where the lawn was the BEST place to catch a concert. The lawn here though is usually filled with all the people you want to avoid who get too drunk/high and then get so rowdy they ruin your experience. I was hoping the new name would mean some upgrades and fixes to some of these things but clearly all it means is someone new has their name on the sign and everything else is status quo. read more

Jon G. and I have come here twice now in recent months. Once to see Deftones and Thrice, another time to see Incubus and Jimmy Eat World. The venue itself is pretty nice, big and open with lawn seating, as well as rows of assigned seating closer to the stage. Parking comes included with your ticket and if you come early enough, you can actually take advantage of that! The line to get in is split into two, one fore people with bags, the other for bag-less entry. Both lines move pretty darn quick! Once you get in, there are several buildings with windows where you can order food or beer, as well as merch booths and other kiosks. Prices here are freaking insane! Eat before you come, and be prepared to pay $13 and up for a tall can of beer. The first time we came here (for Deftones) we got one tall can to split and it was just painful paying that much. The second time (for Incubus) was a lot better. I went to one of the windows to get a water bottle and noticed they offered a $4 "Value Beer" which ended up being Natural Ice Light. Not good beer, but also better than no beer or $13 beer. Lawn area is perfect if you want to bring a blanket and stretch out. They also offer lawn chair rentals, but they were pricy ($20 a chair I believe). There is also a tent at the top of the lawn that sells beer, so you don't have to miss a second of music just to run and grab a beer from the other concession stands. Also, during our visit for Incubus, the security guards were passing out tickets for the seats closer to the stage. We were able to score some closer tickets, which was so awesome because there was over a 60% chance of rain that night and the area surrounding the stage was under a roof. All you have to do is ask, so don't be afraid to! Can't wait to see who else ends up playing here! :) read more

Went to see the cure. Got seats on the lawn and the screens didn't help at ALL. You could not see Robert smith at all save for a vague outline because every screen on the left side of the theater was showing a far angle of the left side of the stage. There were no other angles visible from that side. The other angle seemed to be just as bad but also shown only on the right side. Sound quality was awful. The concert goers were the worst part thought. Only about 30% of them actually seemed to be fans of the cure. The lawn was surrounded by loud people talking about movies and other nonsense in the middle of heartfelt songs about loneliness. We had about a foot of space between us and the people in front of us on the lawn, and this family decided to sit right in between that spot, practically sitting on our blanket. The dad kept standing up randomly for long periods of time making it so we couldn't even see the screens which did nothing to help anyway. It was like listening to an album in a park with a bunch of people who don't care about music and just want to take selfies. Only about 30% of the crowd seemed to be people who came for the music, the rest were obviously just there for status symbol and to say that they were there. There was a guy spitting constantly and groping his girlfriends butt the entire show, a guy on crutches who's friends made him navigate the crowd instead of doing things for him like a good friend, cigarettes everywhere, two kids just standing in the middle of the line of sight looking around AWAY from the stage, a girl right in front of us having a photo shoot and editing the photos the ENTIRE time, and just people talking so loud around you you can't even hear the music. The experience was so distracting that we ended up leaving because when Robert smiths beautiful voice couldn't make it an enjoyable show. We weren't having fun. On the way out the few actual fans we encountered complimented us and shared similar sentiments. Definitely never coming back to this venue. Lots of people also talking on their phones as if anyone could hear them over the noise, and just generally nobody around us actually paying attention to the concert. It's not like you could see it anyway. We probably would have had more fun in the parking lot than in the actual venue. Awful awful venue. read more

Good place to go for a concert but the parking is seriously jacked up!! If you don't arrive SUPER early to claim your free parking, you'll be driving around for an hour in an endless cluster f** of parking round-around hell while the police officers working the gates continually wave you past the general admission entrances claiming they're all "full" even though you can see plenty of open spaces only to get directed to a lot about a mile away from the concert venue in Timbuktu. By the time we, and the 100's of other concert goers arrived to the concert, the first band was already done performing due to having to sit in non-moving traffic. was at concert last night and within the first 30 minutes inside the venue we were met with crazy rude workers. went to get a beer and gave them my form of ID issued by the federal freaking government and the employee didn't accept it.. i simply asked why and she started making a scene and started yelling at me and my fiancé.. i asked her to calm down and she screamed, refused service, and threatened to call management.. we walked to another location to get a beer and boom got what we needed w no problem with the same id?!? way to welcome visitors huh? read more

Went for a concert and the screens for the lawn were not turned on, not sure why, the womens bathroom line was awful which is to be expected but wish they had other options as well. I suppose I should've paid $30 extra to use the port a potty read more
