This place is great. Lots of wine selections as well as cocktail drinks. I love how the bar is set in the middle of the place and one side has tables for first come first serve and the other side of the bar is for vip sections of the lounge. Both side of the bar has bar seating available. Although the location is small, my family and I were able to get a table with four seats towards the entrance of the bar. I loved the fact that if you say down at a table, a server immediately came over to take our drink orders. Our server was pretty consistent throughout the night. And even though I had to get up to go to the bar a few times, our server always met me at the bar to take the drink order and would tell me to go ahead and take a seat and she would take our drinks to the table. The d.j. music choice was amazing. Lots of great Latin hits with a mix of new Latin and hip hop music. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but we were lucky enough to find a street parking spot. There is no dress code enforced. I.D. is required to gain entrance. The only thing about this bar is that it only has one bathroom for everyone to use, so the line gets very long and confusing since the line starts to blend in with the bar line. TIP: if ordering water, you can ask for free glasses of tap water not just water bottles that they charge for.

Located in Bishop Arts area of Dallas and loved it! Visited on a Saturday evening around 10:30pm and we were able to walk right in and get their last table available. Latin night and they were playing a mixture of Reggaeton, Spanish Pop, cumbias and merengue. Now, the table we sat at was right under their speaker so it was super loud and we had to scream in order to talk to each other. Ordered their margaritas and they were definitely strong and delicious. A lot of places practically just give you the juice with like 2 drops of alcohol, so these were definitely appreciated. The vibes were awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Every song was great and we were able to dance in our seats and enjoy our time. No dance floor. This is more of a sit down cocktail lounge with no area to dance unless you are standing by the bar or your seat. Now, they only have one single bathroom with one toilet inside so if you need to use the restroom, please be prepared to wait for a long time during their peak hours. Also, the line does end up going into the seating area so you are just standing around near other tables and kind of stand there awkwardly listening to them or being in their space until the line moves. Other than that, great time and wouldn't mind returning

Love Valle!! They play good music and their drinks are so yummy. Gabbie is such a sweet bartender/waitress!! On Tuesdays they have live music!! Definitely a good time here

A Happy Hour Hidden Gem in Dallas!…read more We took a day trip to Dallas to see the circus and decided to pop into a nearby bar for drinks and small bites. Parking was a challenge, but we opted for valet and, at only $10, it was totally worth it! We originally planned to check out Bar Eden for happy hour but accidentally walked into Paradiso, which is connected. Bar Eden is a little smaller and has more of an intimate, speakeasy vibe, while Paradiso has a gorgeous, lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the happy hour specials were perfect for afternoon drinks--cocktails under $10! The margarita was delicious, and the other cocktails were just as pretty as they were tasty. One thing to know: it seems there's only one restroom, so the wait can be lengthy. BUT once you get inside, you'll understand why...because it's basically a girl's dream photo booth! Definitely plan a little extra time for the bathroom selfies. We didn't try the food this time, but the ambiance and music were on point. The outdoor seating is beautiful and elegant, although it was way too hot for daytime lounging during our visit. Overall, I'd absolutely come back--especially for happy hour! Great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

This little spot use to be the lemonade place, however they have done a wonderful job recreating the space. Is intimate, great for a first date, a glass of wine, a girl friends gathering . . . And they serve food. I came with a large group of girlfriends for a Christmas party. We gathered at 7pm and I don't know if my hostess told them to wait but it was an hour before we ordered food but the food came out rather quickly. I ordered the pot roast and although the meat was TEN-DER, the meal itself lacked seasoning. I was told the roast was cooked in a Mississippi pot roast style, however besides seeing the pepperoncini, I wouldn't have known. The mashed potatoes lacked seasoning and it all felt a little greasy to me (too much butter which I never thought I would EVER say!). The staff were really nice and accommodating. I missed the sign that says fee for using credit card, but it was a small fee, but just so you know. There is a backyard/porch area as well. So a nice spot as the weather gets nicer and who doesn't love options. I will say I was eyeballing the salad - it was a nice portion size that could be shared. I was disappointed by the cost of the bread and the size of that but that's just me. Overall I'd give it another try.

We tried a few bites - the patatas bravas, which are thinly fried potato chunks lightly dusted with paprika and topped with garlic aioli. It sounds simple, but was ridiculously addictive, and we found ourselves ordering another serving that night! We also tried the steak, which was perfectly cooked to our desired temperature (medium rare), but was otherwise pretty simply prepared, served atop steak sauce. And we also tried the burrata which came as two small pieces of toasted bread, juicy burrata and charred broccoli (also a simple but satisfying dish). All of the dishes are pretty small, so you would probably need to order at least a handful for a couple to feel pretty satiated, but that makes it fun to try more wine at the same time ;) We were curious about the pork belly, which the owner proclaimed to another guest that night to be "her favorite item on the menu." We can't wait to try that on our return visit (with another order or two of the patatas bravas, and maybe the tostadas too!). Definite recommend for a cute date night off the beaten path!

First of all, the Bishop Arts District itself is incredibly charming. Block after block of unique shops ranging from bookstores and bakeries to candle shops, candy stores, coffee spots, and little boutiques. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood I loveeeee exploring while traveling and if I lived in Dallas, I'd probably frequent this area often. As for The Wild Detectives, the concept alone immediately appealed to me...bookstore meets cafe meets bar meets restaurant. That combination will pretty much always grab my attention. I love to read, I love to eat. The space has a pretty relaxed, community oriented vibe, and during my Saturday morning/early afternoon visit, there were plenty of people working, reading, chatting, and hanging out both inside and on the patio. My one slight disappointment was that the bookstore side itself was smaller than I expected and didn't have quite as extensive a selection as I had imagined. That said, I still managed to leave with a few great additions for my ever growing TBR pile. Overall, this was a worthwhile stop and one I may revisit the next time I'm in Dallas.

There is a paid parking lot next door although they appear to do parking validation which i didn't know until id already paid. They were hosting trivia night doing a fundraiser with WISE which is why i showed up. There was complimentary prosecco with donations and overall it was a fun night. I will say when i arrived i was a bit annoyed. It was my first time there and when i said i was there for trivia i was told i could sit at the bar and would have to wait for my whole party to arrive. When my party arrived (regulars) they seemed to think that was crazy so maybe that policy depends on who you are. When i sat down at the bar i was ignored. I had to ask someone for a menu and i was directed to a QR code and then as far as ordering i was sitting there waiting for someone to notice me again for several minutes. Again, they weren't super busy. I finally was able to order and a few minutes later my friend showed up and we sat at our table. I ended up with a mexican coke, elote and avocado tostadas. The food was decent. Not exceptional. I wish the tostada had chunks of avocado instead, it was a thin later on the bottom. The elote was good. Maybe i just didn't order the right thing. My friends love the place and it appears to be a neighborhood staple. I will come back again with them and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with this review. Hopefully next time will be better.
