I ordered 2 beef taco meal. The photo showed fried tortilla shells, what I got is hard taco bell type shells. The ground beef is so gross, tastes old. Not worth $14! Would rather have taco bell! read more

We pass by this restaurant almost every day monday through friday during the school year. And in the mornings, they are always crowded. They offer a drive thru, and you can dine inside. We finally stopped by on a Saturday morning. We were pleasantly surprised that they were not crowded. They have a breakfast menu and they also have a very large lunch menu. If you are looking for traditional Mexican food.This is the place to go. We ordered fish tacos which they serve all day, bean and cheese tacos, and omelette burrito. I enjoyed my fish taco I could tell that the fish was dropped when I got there. It was nice and hot and crispy. It had a type of tartar sauce, as well as cilantro, and lettuce. It was pretty tasty. My kid got the bean and cheese tacos. The flavor of the tortilla was probably fresh, why it tasted different to her, but she enjoyed the beans and cheese. My husband got the Omelette burrito, he was very impressed with the size, the flavor, and the price. We all said we would go back and try other menu items. My kid would probably get something different besides the bean and cheese next time. read more

Came back to try something new -- and wow, I'm glad I did! These tacos took me straight back to my San Diego days. Super flavorful and packed with lots of meat! YOU GET WHAT YOU GET.......the food is great ....yes, HOWEVER, as much as I love their food, EVERY SINGLE TIME our order is incorrect, I have tried several times to speak with them explaining what has happened and they say "so" and then hang up, and for carne asada fries, a quesidilla, and 3 rolled tacos to be OVER $30, I will just make them at home, at least my order will be correct. First time coming to this place and was not impressed. Being from Cali this isn't the cali food I know. I ordered chilaquiles but it looks and taste like migas. It was egg and tortilla all scrambled with onions and no sauce. The rice taste like it was mixed with some type of chemical and was not edible. We've been on the hunt for a good breakfast burrito that compares to what are used to eating in So Cal. Man!! They have been really hard to find! The burritos at Dos Juanitos are a pleasant surprise! Also tried a chicken soft taco and it was also delicious! We went thru the drive thru which is why the lack of photos and they already really need to upgrade their drive thru intercom system. We have been to this restaurant many times since they opened and we have really been supporters of them and have wanted them to succeed. Recently the quality of food has gone downhill. The service has been consistently amazing and all their wait staff are attentive and amiable. Most recently we ordered the queso dip and it was awful. I went here looking for simple authentic Mexican flavor and while the menu options looked great, I felt like the cost did not match the food. What I mean is that the cost was a little high for the severe lack of flavor. I ordered some chicken tostadas and they were severely under seasoned. As soon as I took a bite I knew it had little to no salt, and I am conservative with my salt. I was pretty sad as I thought tostadas would be pretty easy to master at a Mexican restaurant, I was wrong. Also, it said it came with cheese and there was a barely there sprinkle of cheese. The drive through also took long for how simple the tostadas are to make. I haven't gone inside so I'm not sure what the ambiance is but the outside looks descent enough, nothing attention grabbing. This is the second time I go there and the lack of flavor was consistent unfortunately. The first time i went I ordered menudo and it was also lacking salt and the drive through wait was long even for a menudo and that's all I had ordered. I hope they read this and make those little tweaks that I think could make a huge difference. I'm not looking for my food to be over salted, or swimming in cheese, just well seasoned and well dressed. I also think that for stating they're Mexican food they really miss the mark on the tortillas since they use store bought tortillas, and not even the ones that taste good. Mexican food should have home made tortillas, or at minimum tortillas from HEB! That would really change it up for Dos Juanitos! I might give them one more try and hope that the third time is the charm, if not I'm writing them off for good and try to find another place to get a good Mexican plate when I don't feel like cooking it myself. read more

I want to give this place a good review but I just can't. Let me preference by saying the service was amazing, impeccable. Super friendly. But my food was very bland, I ordered Menudo, and it was very watered down, couldn't see any spices. Not to mention Harmony is extra and by request. Never heard of such a thing. The coffee, horrible, muddy water, extremely watered down. I was just very disappointed, especially since the reviews are so good. First time there I felt that pricing was OK. They can definitely add additional options to their menu. I feel that their location may need a tuneup fresh paint cleaner environment. Stop letting their kids run around the restaurant in between customers also found a piece of plastic in my food, which was not a big deal because I never put it in my mouth but seems like something was cut and accidentally fell into my food. I been here 3 times in the last 6 weeks. We drove thru and ordered the same exact thing each time. We ordered the Burleson burrito. I believe it is SUPPOSED to have sausage, ham, chorizo, potatoes, and cheese. First one was so-so. Seemed like a bit of the meat was missing and no cheese. The second time we were so happy that someone finally made it right. Today was our third time. We were hoping whoever made it last time would be making it again today. OMG! Terrible!!! When I cut it in half it was filled with potatoes. Like, did I just order a potato burrito? With all the potato you couldn't tell much of anything else. There was a little meat but very disappointing. I pulled half of the uncooked potatoes out before I could take a bite. I typically go to Juanitos frequently, they are close to where I live and their Mexican food is quite good. However I got this food a few nights ago, and I was so disappointed. The carne was burnt, so it was hard and not soft (I currently have braces) so it doesn't make it easy to enjoy my food when I gotta really chew tough meat. On top of that, one of the orders I made was missing items, and some were incorrect. The service is typically good unless you go an hour or two before closing which then you feel slightly rushed. Most the time I am a happy customer but recently I have been quite disappointed. I would encourage people to still go, just maybe not 2-3 hours before they close. read more

I ordered three tacos to try their meat. Lengua, asada, and pastor. Lengua was bland, asada was all gristle and connective tissue, and the pastor was pretty good. The salsa's were not good. And the Zanahorias en Escabeche was the only thing that was great. The service was underwhelming. So was the state of the restaurant. Today was my first visit, we went through the drive thru. The intercom system makes it very hard to hear the staff. Ordered the asada super burrito for myself and two chicken tacos for my daughter. My daughter enjoyed her tacos. The burrito was good but not great, nothing that stood out. The green sauce was pretty good though. Great Mexican food, this is legit border Town Mexican and not the normal Tex-Mex prevalent in Texas. Awesome, big, fresh burritos, street style tacos, and some of the best Pozole I've had anywhere. Breakfast burritos are also amazing. The standard meats, chicken, carnitas, carne asada, al pastor, and still a few more Tex-mex style dishes if that's what your looking for. My favorite is definitely the California burrito but I will also dabble with the pastor nachos and I've never been disappointed. I ordered a to go order in the morning, and upon eating it wasn't satisfied with the quality of the food. I took it back in hopes of getting a refund, or some type of exchange, only for the owner to rudely shoot me down. I understand that they are a small business, but for them to have no alternative, and and on top of that act snarky and unbothered towards a customers request and dissatisfaction is extremely discouraging.
