Dos Locos, you drive me loco! Dos Locos is my favorite late night spot, whether I'm having a somber sober evening or a silly sloshed night I am always filled with joy the moment the taco lips grace my own. Everything is extremely fresh and flavorful. I have tried nearly everything at Dos Locos. At this point you could say I got my doctorate in tacos and this journey we are about to embark upon is my dissertation. Let's run through a few of my favorite items together. But first let's lay down some Pro tips. 1. Any taco can be turned into a burrito. 2. Tacos are a great go to if you want to mix and match to get a smorgasbord of different proteins. 3. If you're not feeling adventurous or you're one of those freaks that knows exactly what you want stick to a burrito and maybe get a taco on the side. 4. If you despise the mere idea of a chihuahua being milked you can swap out the cheese for guacamole in a burrito. 5. If you love milking chihuahuas get a quesadilla. 6. Nachos are great for sharing and make a surprisingly good breakfast the next morning. Now with all that out of the way let's get into the goodies The fish taco is light and fresh. The battered cod filet is fried in gods image, paired with a tangy and smooth avocado salsa balanced out by a sweet pineapple salsa and finished off with beautiful amethyst cabbage that adds a satisfying crunch. I personally switch out the corn tortilla with a soft and fluffy flour tortilla to keep the chefs on their toes. The lamb burrito is another one of my favorites. Every bite I get an uncontrollable urge to say "baaaaahhhhh!" And to nestle at the feet of my friend named Mary. The flour tortilla is filled to the brim with rice, beans, avocado salsa, onions, amethyst cabbage and sorcery. The keen lamb is mystical and filled with love, I'm assuming from Mary. You said you're looking for a meal deal? Look no further than the birria tacos. 3 tacos packed with shredded luscious brisket topped with cilantro and onion. A side of rice that would make Claudia Sheinbaum shed a tear of joy. But here's the kicker that brings it all together it comes with consommé which is liquid gold as far as I'm concerned. Throw that ish on everything and if you still have more when ur done eating slurp it straight. Thank you for joining me for part 1 out of 5 I will see you in part 2 and onward. Oh and lastly the staff is always super sweet make sure you tip them well! A lot of care and effort goes into making you're meal :)

Came by here after checking out an event at the bookstore next door. I ordered the birria tacos where were good and well priced! My friends all tried different items on the menu including the regular tacos, quesadillas, and quesabirria. The food is definitely heavier so not a regular spot for me, but great late night spot with lots of seating and a large menu. Service was also great and the waitress was very friendly!

Dos Locos has been one of my favorite late night eats for a long time now. It was never my favorite taco place but a good one. Small and open after hours when you're hungry and drunk, this is the spot. I stopped in the other day because it was Tuesday. Imagine my surprise to find Dos Locos completely renovated. Dos Locos Tacos has been upgraded. It's bigger, better and cleaner. Not a simple diner any longer. They've kept their awesome hours and their tacos are awright too.

Counters are not kept clean, much. We saw no masks on any of the staff at all. Basic cleanliness wasn't readily apparent. My husband refused to eat here. I still have it a whirl, hoping it was a divey gem. The counter has 9 stools and there are 3 seats at the counter on the back wall. Ordered two shredded chicken taco and the garlic marinated mushroom, flavor charges. Started off with the chips and guacamole. The chips were tossed into the fryer for a bit, crunchy and fresh at least, tasted okay. The guacamole was a bit too smooth, was so-so. The chips were subpar. Tacos here come on white corn tortillas. The shredded chicken was too pulverized and shredded, had decent flavor. The mushroom tacos were flavorful. I liked the garlic, pineapple and jalapeño marinade, an interesting combo. The taco overall was okay. It was a bit off putting seeing the white Calvin Klein under garment coming out of the jeans of our cook and some back skin too. She was friendly enough. Total was $16.96. Prices were fair here.

Great tacos and wait for it... great hot sauce. Run to the exits and get to Dos Locos.

Absolutely love this place. Late night after a show (or even before) it's great to eat a taco or quesadilla (and spurge with a churro). So far I have mainly stuck with the vegetarian options: black bean tacos or soy based tacos. The chips and salsa basket is quite the bargain. Recently read they are expanding and will have more seating. Still expect a line out the door. They usually play some pretty good tunes. The expansion side looks like active renovations are underway. The only ding is the place looks like it could get cleaned more often, but that is partly age related.

What's new here is the size and the salsa. This food truck doles out some pretty amazing portions. You will get filled up! The street tacos were heftier than most, bigger more substantial tortillas and no skimping on the meat. The salsas were super thick, an almost blended margaritas consistency. Nice because they clung to the tacos rather than running out all over the place. One was subtly spicy, hitting only after the bite but providing a happy kick. The other was citrusy, adding a great dimension to what otherwise was a fairly standard taco. The meat was cut super fine. The onions were bigger so played more of a role than they sometimes do. Good cilantro ratio but the stars were the salsas. My boss and coworker got burritos. Both liked them but my boss was happier because he got his super, adding queso fundito, guac and crema. I recommend that option for sure as my coworker lamented not forking over the extra 1.50 after getting an eye at his stellar concoction. Yep. I'm still out here finding new Mexican food trucks and loving it.

Despite the freezing cold weather, they were able to keep the restaurant at a comfortable temperature. However, the food and drinks just weren't satisfying. The shrimp taco were so tiny and the toppings were bare minimum. My drink was flavorless but strong. I didn't even finish it. Service was okay. My food took some time to come out but the waitstaff did a good job taking orders, making drinks in a timely fashion, and answering any questions To improve I'd say make the tacos more appealing. Create something that makes a powerful impact on my taste buds. The drinks could use more flavor. The tacos needed more flavor, esp the shrimp. I wouldn't mind coming back to give this place another chance and try some other things.
