My boyfriend and I were hungry and found Amicci's while we were staying in Hamtramck. We couldn't agree on what toppings we wanted so the girl at the counter told us we could do half and half with whatever toppings we wanted. I got mushrooms and sausage on my half of the 8" personal pizza and we also ordered a side of fries. Our total was super reasonable, only about $7.50. The menu is huge, with regular pizza, Detroit style pizza, super thin crust pizza, as well as subs, salads, burgers, Italian dinners, fried food items, etc. The interior is bigger than I thought it would be too, so we were able to sit while we waited for our food. The pizza was pretty good, they do use canned mushrooms which I know some people don't like. They were fine, but fresh mushrooms would have been better. The fries were hot but nothing special. I can't believe this is our first time here. We love this local gem. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and the amici salad and of course a pizza. The service was outstanding and they were quick to get our drinks out. My favorite item we had was the amici salad. I can't put my finger on what was so damn good but it's a combination of blue cheese, green olives, crispy pepperoni, onions a lemon herb dressing. Outstanding! read more

I'd never heard of Amicci's before today. They delivered to my job for Emergency Nurses Week. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavor of this pizza. They had a variety of different pies to choose from lined up. I chose the BBQ Chicken pizza because how can you go wrong with that?!?! Well they surpassed any bbq chicken pizza I've had before. Let's start with the fact I ate it cold!!!! (I hate cold pizza) So that in and of itself was a small victory! There wasn't any raw uncooked dough and I was able to eat the whole slice and not just pick the topping off! The dough was airy, light, and crunchy. It reminded me of sourdough bread. I go to the Dally in the Alley every year and one year I was lucky enough to stumble upon Amicci's tent set up along the food alley. So glad I got to try it and find out about this place because I am absolutely hooked!! This is one of my top favorite places to get pizza! I'm a pizza fanatic and I prefer to patronize local restaurants - Amicci's is perfect for that! They have great deals and a variety of things not only pizza related on their menu. They also have a reward system which offers great incentives and deals if you're a frequent customer like I am. Their website is perfect for online ordering and you can check the status of your order and get updated through that or their app as well. I LOVE their Detroit style deep dish but their round and thin crust is awesome as well! For all the ranch lovers out there I should mention that they have a great house ranch. Thin-crust thai pizza sounded great but was bland and covered in canned mushrooms- a culinary pet peeve of mine. My spouse's Detroit style pizza was better. It's probably the only think I'd recommend. The "highlight" for me was our delivery girl; who showed up at the wrong door (we'd included instructions in our order), swore ("J---- C-----!"), and forgot to bring everything. When I called them to let them know, she called me back and became very rude and belligerent with me. Eventually, I told her that if this is how she speaks to customers, I would prefer she not return. We would call the missing items a loss, and would simply never order from them again. Sometimes, extraordinary food makes poor service worth it. This is not one of those times. You can do better than Amicci's. read more

After a day of starving, my friend offered to order me a pizza from here.. online. I waited about an hour (estimated delivery time) and received a phone call that my pizza was finally here. When I get to the front door, the delivery guy ask me if I have the card I ordered the food with. I replied no, and explained that my friend ordered me this pizza. He then went to talk to his manager, out in the truck, came back and told me that I couldn't have the pizza. I asked why wasn't this advised when the order was placed. He said it should have been. He then took the pizza back, and drove off. Besides the fact that I feel their customer service is poor, I think it's unethical to waste food, time and gas in the way that Amicci's did. Not satisfied. Never had them, and I never will. ***UPDATE*** To be clear, I understand there are certain rules/regulations that have to be followed. That's obvious with any business. Amicci's, in my opinion, could have done a better job of relaying the policies they enforce. I've had my mom order me pizzas while I've lived out of state and have never had this issue. I offered to FaceTime the friend that ordered me the food so that the card could have been shown, and was told no. On top of that, I was never asked for a photo ID, just the actual card itself. Not to sound entitled, but as opposed to throwing the pizza away, it could have been left with me. I've never ordered from this establishment before, and I have not had these problems when ordering from other establishments so I was completely unaware of the policies that Amicci's enforces... don't blame this on MasterCard, blame it on your lack of customer service like I said. read more

Cheese Pizza Regular Round Crush Peppers on the Side (flakes) Well Done Side Pizza Sauce Pepperoni Mushroom Red (Bell) Pepper Cajun Crust The pizza arrived well-done with pepperoni, mushrooms and Cajun crust - that's it. There were no red peppers (bell), crushed red peppers (side) or pizza sauce (side). I have been a long time customer and inaccurate/incomplete orders have been an issue with Amicci's from as far back as I can remember - I am beginning to tire of their complacency. Order accuracy must be an ongoing problem for many customers because management recently implemented a little quality control slip with the receipt where the quality and accuracy of the order is supposed to be signed-off by three separate individuals before it gets to the customer - from management all the way to the delivery driver. Even still, it is completely blank 50% of the time and when it is completed, it is clear only one person initialed the three separate sections. It is frustrating to spend a premium for pizza and not have anything but exactly what was ordered. What is more frustrating is KNOWING that there is actually a GOOD chance that the pizza will be missing something when it arrives. Unfortunately, you are usually so hungry that you are going to eat pretty much whatever they bring. It's not like you are going to send it back and wait another 45 minutes for the replacement. I order a pie nearly every week and it is delicious and convenient. I am not looking for a hand-out or free pizza or even an apology, I just want the order to be correct when it arrives. If the trend continues I will use cash-only and return it whenever an incorrect order arrives (I'll have to bring a backup lunch so that I have the fortitude to actually send a pizza back). Please implement and ENFORCE some kind of strategy in-house so that our business can continue. FIVE STARS for quality - Amicci's is among the very best of pizzas I have ever tasted (when it arrives as invoiced). Pizza is decent. Delivery times are not, regardless of what time of day it is. Have been waiting 1hr and 19 min for current order.... called 10 minutes ago and they told us the delivery guy "should be pulling up any second!" after they first told me, "We don't have an order for that address," then after a few seconds of shuffling around "oh, wait, here it is!" Unfortunately, this is like, the third time it's happened. I've never heard of it taking so long for a pizza to travel such a short distance :( EDIT: ...And inspecting our order, (which arrived 10 or so minutes after the review was originally posted making for just about a 90 minute wait) they've sent us the wrong salad AGAIN. So now I guess we'll be waiting another 90 minutes for the correct one. :( It's cool though... who doesn't like eating dinner at 11pm. Pizza also arrived pretty cold. I ordered a few items for delivery from Amicci's Pizza. I love that they're open and deliver late. I had the cinnamon sticks, cheese bread, and a Flipster (a calzone-y type sandwich). The cinnamon sticks and cheese bread were really great, hot, fresh, and a nice portion for the price. Using their online ordering system, I asked that onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes be left off the Flipster. I got the Flipster and it had the veggies all up in it. I was livid, I SUPER hate (and am allergic to) onions. So I reached out about the order mishap and got the fastest response! It turns out the ordering system had a few backend bugs that need fixing. The manager comped my meal and re-delivered a new Flipster at no charge. I really appreciated that service and that I was given an explanation as to why my order came wrong. When I got the new Flipster, it was hot, garlic butter-y, neatly-made, and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from Amicci's again. Especially if I'm in the Hamtramck area or need late delivery! read more

We ordered the extra large pizza and mozzarella bread for carryout and also used a 25% off coupon through Yelp so our dinner (plus leftovers) was only $12! Can't beat that :) Anyway, the pizza was good...yummy crust...perfect proportion of cheese - crust - bread. The crust was good enough to eat without any dip, too. The mozzarella bread though... I am a huge fan of Detroit style pizza. While this isn't my favorite pizza place (buddy's or shield's are still my top choices), it's only a few blocks away from my house, and fulfills all the requirements I want when looking for pizza. First of all, their standard pizza is round. They're fine. The greek pizza is good. They get less good when they're not hot. I highly recommend the "deep dish" pizzas, though. they're actually rectangular pan pizzas. The hawaiian is my favorite. It comes with extra cheese, ham, bacon, pineapples. There's just enough burnt cheese on the edges to give it some crisp and a contrasting texture. You can get a small deep dish for about 7 bucks. It's six slices, and could easily feed two people. After a major pizza craving a couple weeks ago, I ate the whole thing, and was far too full. Their wings, nachos and salads are also decent. Everything I've tried there is not bad. If you're at whiskey in the jar, they'll bring it over to you for no extra charge (but tip the people that bring it, please). I haven't ever had a need to have them deliver to me, but I am wary of it because the drivers are insane. They hang outside the restaurant, yelling into their phones. some of them have their families with them. It's rather shady. don't get me wrong, a couple of them are really nice, and everyone inside is great as well. I recommend Amicci's for value, deep dish, wings, and proximity in Hamtramck. read more

So let me start off by saying that my experience was definitely partially my fault in this matter. We ordered delivery to Fowling which is cool that they deliver there, but unfortunately they forgot silverware, napkins and plates which is difficult at Fowling Warehouse, because you don't have anything available. So we had them go back for the stuff, which they did. Unfortunately, when they returned all of our food was cold because we had been waiting. Also, we were in the middle of playing games the second time around, so the food was even colder. It was my cheat meal, so I was starving so nothing is that bad when you're hungry. We had two of the gluten free specialty pizzas *which again* had I gotten regular pizza it probably would have been better. The hot tots were similar to fried mac and cheese bites and those were decent. The antipasto salad was good and had tons of vegetables. Also, everyone who ordered the Flipster - Calzone type items seemed to enjoy them. I wouldn't recommend getting the gluten free, but I'd also try it again when it was warm. Maybe next time Amicci's. Hands down the best pizza in Hamtramck. We order from them on a weekly basis both in the store and delivery. The pizzas always taste amazing and have lots of toppings. The salads are delicious and always fresh. We love their subs and flipsters as well. This pizza place is just ok. There pizza is just alright (better than fast food pizza.) But definitely not the best. While the chicken is amazing (trust me don't order the breast, leg, or thighs.)
