For Tennessee, and this area in particular, the food is decent, the drinks are stout, and every time I'm in Hendersonville visiting friends I tend to end up here because they never go to Mexican food and somehow my presence means we need to go. I'm told what they do with shrimp is exceptional, but I don't eat it so can't really comment. Their chips are a little less great than I'd want, but their salsa is good. Edge of flavor that my kids don't scream "this has flavor daddy, ugh!" Vegetarian selection exists. Everything tastes ok but doesn't scream great. The place caters to the region, should be noted you're not going to get explosive spicy or some of the more "risky" flavors. I mean, it's Hendersonville and as much as I love you guys, if you were on Hot Ones I suspect Mayo would be about sauce #4. So yeah, come for the drinks, they're great. The food, it's good, works for the area, going to tick off anyone who lives in Texas. I've got my favorite Mexican joints 25 miles up the road but that's another city. read more

Server- 10/10 Jalapeno marg- could have been spicer but for the weak probably 10/10 Queso- delicious PSA- ordering a large means LARGE. The marg is basically a pitcher and the queso comes in a bowl. read more

10/10! Came here while visiting my family and we made a double visit. Service is great, staff is super friendly and extremely attentive. As a former waitress it's great to find a place where the servers are super aware and taking care of their guests. And to top it all off--food is delicious!!! Loved the chips and salsa, I got a I think California burrito one visit, giant burrito covered with cheese sauce and stuffed with rice, beans and chicken--it was amazing. Then on the second visit got the queso dip with chips and lunch chimichanga. The food was served steaming hot and quickly. I would just come back down rhe chips, queso and salsa alone. Have loved this place since they opened , still like it a lot. Sure there has been inflation but some of the increasing in pricing is over the top . A pitcher of Margarita has gone up to 25.00 and they fill the picture completely full of ice . Three In our party and there was enough mix for 2 glasses a piece and not even full glasses . Down the road is Conco De mayo have pictures for 15 and ice is only in a third of the picture food prices have doubled as well . Tostaguac. Went from 3.50 to 6.99 over night . Stopped by for lunch and staff was very friendly. Got our food quick and drinks stayed full. I went with ground beef tacos and ended up super disappointed. Before I even took a bite, grease came pouring out and then more with every bite. Could barely taste any seasoning in the meat. If they added more seasoning and strained the grease before serving I bet they'd taste much better. Probably wont come back. Rather get Carne Asada somewhere else instead of ground beef. read more

First time here - never had a chance to visit- Brought my wife tonight to try it out - Would have loved to have a skinny margarita not made from a mix , but they were tasty ... We had dinner on a Friday night with our family of 6. The food & service was quite good and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our group.

The food was terrible. I ordered a combo meal with a burrito and enchiladas. There was NO difference between the two. Both were ground beef wrapped in a tortilla. That's it. No sauce, no cheese, no beans, cheese, no anything. Just a flour tortilla wrapped around ground beef. Not even good tasting ground beef. It was terrible. I will not return. read more

This place has generally been my absolute fav, but after the last 4 visits I have to downgrade a star. 3 of the 4 times I ordered fajitas or a fajita taco salad. Twice there were only green bell peppers and once there was only tomatoes. It was really disappointing. The fourth time was a to go order. Come here for drinks. Food is fine, but drinks are the purpose of this place. A fishbowl will get you lit if that is what you're going for. My cousin and I enjoyed ourselves and the drinks are solid for an easygoing happy hour on the patio. It's a bit out of the way of everything, but worth a visit. Dine outside on their covered patio. Inside might be a little covidy because the server folding the napkins and silverware didn't wear her mask until we walked into the establishment. read more

Disappointing. Had been to Dos Margaritas several times over the years but this was our first time back post-Pandemic. I've never been in love with the place but I remember it being decent enough. Tonight was well below decent and was poor enough overall that if we ever go back it will be a long, long time. The food was meh at best. Cheese dip (they don't call it queso) so runny it's practically water. The best anyone at the table could muster over the quality of the food was "it's fine." My enchilada dish had practically an entire head of shredded lettuce and the cheese enchiladas themselves were gritty and unappetizing. There were lots of leftovers. The service was equally sub-par. The waiter was inattentive throughout the meal and nearly impossible to track down where there was an obvious error on the bill that needed to be corrected. This experience made me sorely miss the excellent Mexican / Tex Mex places where I used to live in the Dallas area and will ensure that we'll be trying some other restaurant in Hendersonville the next time we have a craving for Mexican. read more

Found this place late on a Saturday evening after a long exhausting day on the lake. Our group of 4 sat outside on the patio since we smelled like lake water & sweat. We pounded several baskets of chips & salsa & shared a huge order of queso before our meals. Our waiter was quick to refinish or stock & to refill our drinks. I should add that the grande queso is only 7.99 & is large enough for 4 people to share easily & have left overs. Most places charge more for a large & it's not as big. I ordered the dos margaritas chicken which was two pieces of thin grilled chicken on a fajita plate with fresh pineapple covered in red sauce and queso. It was different & very good. Best Mexican I've had in the area, hands down! I'm usually not fond of Mexican food but every now and then I go against the grain and try it. I ordered the steak chimichanga with rice & beans and extra cheese sauce on the side. Normally most cheese sauces have no flavor to me but theirs was very good. All of the food was still fresh and hot when I got home. Everything was very flavorful from the steak, to the rice & beans, and the cheese sauce. Bc we are under a "safer at home" order, I was even able to get a frozen peach and strawberry margarita to go. It was nice and strong the way a margarita should be! They forget to give me the salsa for my chips but everything was so good that I'm willing to overlook that. Will be my go to spot for Mexican when I get a taste for it. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I would not recommend going to Dos Margaritas. We ordered waters and a couple of margaritas. Then 20 minutes went by before we asked if the drinks were ready yet. They said that they were still not even made. I have a gluten allergy, so I asked if they had any food that was gluten free on their menu. The waiter did not seem to know what I was talking about. So we asked the manager about it. He rudely responded that all of their stuff has a chance of having gluten, and told us that "if we don't like it, that we should just go somewhere else." Since we got that attitude from the manager, and never saw the drinks that we ordered, we decided that it was best to leave. We will never go to Dos Margaritas ever again. read more

The drinks are strong with this one. Our go to Mexican place in Hendersonville. The more you go, the better the food and drinks become. We are regulars and the staff treat us like family. My favorite dish here is the spicy chicken chimichanga, and my wife loves the chicken quesadillas with cheesy rice. The food comes out within minutes of ordering, hot and fresh. (we go there almost every weekend so it's not a 1. sadly one bad experience wiped out the food experience. ordered Al La carte. 3 items. cheesy rice guac salad and Chile rellano verde. as usual. this now came to me all on one plate. to start cheesy rice aka carte is normally more than a side dish. I paid more anyway. and my salad was on a hot plate yuk. worst of all I ordered verde sauce on my Chile rellano. it came with red sauce. which I. turn kid smart ruined my other alarm carte orders I order aka carte. I expect them Aka carte. you ruined a salad by putting it on a hot plate and you ruined my meal by putting red sauce instead of verde that I ordered and cheesy rice portion was half of what alacarte order is because you put on same plate. and charged same price. Went to this tried and true favorite for National Taco Day and we were not disappointed. My husband had fish tacos; I had shrimp tacos and we shared. Both were excellent & fresh. The server asked lots of questions so that we got exactly what we wanted (corn or flour tortillas; cilantro or no cilantro). Decent food but good service. We came here to try it out and our experience when it comes to their food was half good half ok. My husband had pollo fundido which was basically fajitas on rice with melted cheese on top. It was pretty good! But I had their chicken enchilada and it was just ok. Not too crazy about it. Since moving to Tennessee, my husband and I have been on the never ending quest to find Mexican food that is similar to Los Angeles. Let me tell you, this is VERY difficult. We came across this place. It looks similar to a restaurant back home. Good sign number one. The chips and salsa were good. The menu didn't have queso listed under every item. Good sign number too. I ordered the enchiladas rancheras and my husband got the enchilada taco combo. Mine was pretty delicious. The chicken and sauce were great. The enchilada filling was alright. This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! Starting with the chips and salsa: Amazing! Great flavor, super fresh, the spicy salsa was incredible. The queso dip was super smooth and creamy. Several in our party had the combo fajitas. They come with steak, chicken, shrimp and chorizo. It was spectacular! I had the steak Colorado. The flavor and spice were perfect for me. The Texanos Margaritas were delicious and the perfect accompaniment to our meal. All the staff was super friendly and responsive.
