This was such a fun little brewery. We decided to swing by one Sunday afternoon for a cold beer and some finger foods, and it ended up being a great stop. As soon as we walked into Dos Sirenos, the staff were very friendly and greeted us right away, letting us know to grab a seat wherever we liked and that someone would be with us shortly. Even though the place was pretty busy both inside and outside, it didn't take long for someone to come over and take our food and drink order. The drinks came out quickly, and the food wasn't far behind. Everything we ordered was delicious--honestly my only complaint was that my plate was empty by the end! Okay, this is next door to Final Touch Tattoos, so that's why we went in after my piece was done. Though I'm not a beer drinker, and I was driving, I'm going to say that they offered an impressive list of brews with a mythical theme. We ordered some food, but my tummy was feeling up to grub, I guess. I will say the goat cheese poutine is a hard pass. For the price, it was sparsely topped with either cheese or what passed for their gravy. I suspect the gravy was over-thickened with xantham gum as it really congealed. The flavor, too, was wonky. On the other hand, the wings were okay. Now, the wings came out in a paper boat and when we were asked if we wanted "plates" we got two more, smaller boats. Not a fan of that. Also, when I asked for catsup for the fries I got a little one ounce serving. Not terrible, but it took away from the experience. (Note: I requested catsup for the many fries, thank goodness, not touched by the "gravy.") One bartender was great, but sadly she wasn't our server. We got the guy with no personality at all. Really really great brewery with solid drink choices. I had the frozen rose which was actually very enjoyable and not overly heavy in taste which I really loved. I ordered a side of fries with the fish tacos. The fries came out very hot and fresh. The fish tacos unfortunately came out pretty room temp. The fish itself wasn't seasoned well, so it was not that enjoyable- I wish I asked for salt at the least. Overall though, the experience was great. Nice spot in Southtown to not only grab a drink - but they have a surprisingly extensive food menu. It's a cute brewery vibe and the servers check in on you frequently. We tried the Smoked sausage gyro with side salad and the Cubanesque with Cajun fries. Both were delicious! For my birthday I wanted to do a beer tour around town. Dos Sirenos was on the list after my mother in law recommended it. We really loved the beer selection and food as well. We stopped @rivercityproduce for some good deals and thought to check out @dossirenosbrewing nearby. They have a Fiesta menu, and we thought to try a few things. Dad and my husband both had Mango Juice, and I had the Freyr Farmhouse Ale. There was a little bitter aftertaste with the beer, but it was indeed citrusy as Sam recommended. We ordered the Chicken Slider on a Stick and the Tres Leches Pancakes. The chicken was very crunchy and moist. 4.3 STARS! Let me break it down for you. APPS! Appetizer menu is good. I wish they had fried pickles on the menu today. Instead we ordered the Pretzel which was wonderfully soft and flavorful. We enjoyed the loaded jerk fries. Super spicy though so be careful. They are sweet and spicy and the fries are crispy and delicious. The chicken tenders were slightly over fried so the batter had a slight burned undertone. I love the cornmeal batter though. The chicken on the inside was amazing! It was full of flavor and you can tell they are probably brined because the seasoning gets all the way through!! Deliciousness. BEER! YUM, they have a great thing going here. All the beers are great. Today I kept it light yet strong. I went with the Janus twice and ended with the Trident Tripel. The Janus was a beautiful blend of smoothness and flavor. It has something extra but it's so light it's hard to figure it out. Orange and maybe thyme. So hard to figure it out! The Trident went a little deeper in tones. Super smooth and crafty. It was a little more bitter than I thought it would be seeing the IbU is only 26. FOOD! I went with the spicy burger. I give it a 7.5 out of 10. Loved the ghost pepper cheese! The toppings are perfectly thought out but it's way to spicy to enjoy. Thankfully I asked for the fire sauce and jalapeños on the side. Those jalapeños were stuffed full of hot seeds! The fire sauce is nice to dip in. The meat quality is very nice but it was a little too lean for a burger that screams "big mouth burger." The edges were dry and the texture is dense and dusty being so lean. The interior was fairly juicy and had flavor but could of used more salt and pepper. It didn't have a stand out flavor worth craving. The bun was basic, no uniqueness at all. That's why this burger can't be in the upper echelon on my burger list. Still worth ordering if you love burgers. Unfortunately my rating dipped into the low 4s because the chicken parm was dry, chewy and the breading was again left with burnt undertones. This restaurant was poppin for Sunday brunch, just days after they had a post made by S.A.Foodie. This bar + restaurant is across the street from my gf's favorite coffee truck, so we thought we'd finally give it a try. It was a bad choice, timing wise...but the food did not disappoint! I got the pork belly & grits because it felt like the most complex dish. Something different from typical brunch or bar food usuals. I'm big on picking something I don't think I'll find somewhere else. It was packed with flavor! The pork belly was very crispy with some fatty pieces. The tomatillos and sauce was rich and savory; luckily balanced by the creamy grits. It was a nice explosion of textures and flavor. It was almost too savory, and definitely needed to be washed down with a glass of water. But i'm glad I tried it! My gf got the Brewer's Breakfast with the jalapeño cheddar sausage. It was a much simpler breakfast with just eggs and toast, but also packed a punch. We both really enjoyed the flavor of the sausage and I could see us ordering it again. Neither of us felt like getting drinks, since we wanted coffee after. I'd be down to come again to try other items on the menu and a beer or two! Hopefully on a day it's not as busy. A great brewery in SA. It by far has the nicest and one of the largest outdoor seating areas in the city. There is a large selection of beers and they are amazing. This is the place for those who like to try different styles of beer and also those with a set type. The outdoor area has both uncovered and covered areas to feel the sun or keep cool during the hot periods. Inside is spacious and is nice for large gatherings when you have a group. The only thing that is average is the food. I have eat a burger and sandwich twice there and both times the food was just average. Both came out semi warm with cold sides and took quite awhile considering we went when it was empty. It could have just been the cooks but both times would lump it in to the typical bar food. For the price I was expecting more but if it was cheaper than I would have expected those standards. I'm not a big beer fan, so I had not been here before, but I noticed they had brunch and I love brunch. Went on a Saturday. We were seated right away. Initially the service was excellent, but as it got busier, it started lacking. It took almost 15 min to get my friend his beer. I think it would have been faster if he would have gone to the bar to order it. The food was ok. The blackened tuna gyro: I wanted to love it. It was seasoned well, but the tuna was so fishy. I know tuna is strong, but this one was overpowering. I eventually took the tuna out and ate the gyro with the rest of the filling. The serving was big. The parmesan fries were delicious. The falafel burger: great flavor. It had a little spice to it. Big portion. The chips are made in house. They were good, but if I had a choice, I would have ordered more fries. The beer: they do let you sample prior to order. I had the lager, but I did sample the seahorse stout and it was pretty good. They do have other options like frozen sangria, wine. I saw a table with mimosas. They have inside and outside seating. It is spacious. Parking is available in front of the restaurant and across the street. That's the biggest perk for them since most of the establishments around the area don't have parking at all. I would return and maybe try the breakfast items. We arrived right at opening at 11AM. It is self-seating and staff come to greet you. There's a very spacious outdoor patio with tables as well. We all ordered right away and the food came out pretty slowly. When we arrived and ordered, it wasn't busy at all. The main thing we didn't like was that all of our food ( we were a party of 3) came out at different times. We had one plate come and then 15-20 minutes later, we saw my husband and i's food coming out of the kitchen. The server gave my husbands chicken and waffles to the wrong table, so I got my food second. And we waited another 15-20 minutes for them to make another chicken and waffles for my husband. The food was delicious. So delicious. But service matters too. We were watching the servers and it was obvious they didn't have sections. They were running all over the place. It honestly seemed like everyone working was so overwhelmed. I truly hope they come up with some kind of system to make things flow a little easier. The beer selection was really good! My buddy, who is more like a brother to me than friend, came down to visit for a week while my wife was in Florida for her annual vacation with her college girlfriends. He is nearly blind and doesn't get out much back in Kansas. I try to take him to different breweries, distilleries, restaurants, and other venues. It is more fun for me when we find a new place neither of us has ever been. Dos Sirenos was one of 23 stops we made during the week. I had never been there. We were only there for the beer, as we had eaten already. I had a flight with four very good beers. Jim had a full pour of something that he liked enough to ask for a second one. I would have loved to have another flight, but as the driver, I am super careful with my intake. Both of us liked the feel of the venue. I liked that it was so roomy and clean. Jim liked that he was able to maneuver to and use the restroom by himself. That is saying a lot. He usually needs me to walk him to the door and tell him a step count to the toilet. He was able to see that huge merman on the door well enough to know he was at the right door. Our server, Trish, was wonderful. She picked up on Jim's low vision and was very patient and took time to explain things for him. For instance, she made sure he knew where she put his glass. I liked the look of the outdoor area. They allow dogs out there- not sure about inside. I'll be back to try more beers with my sons. One more thing... This won't matter to some folks, but they have a very nice large parking lot in front. The esposo and I stopped by Dos Sirenos during St. Patrick's Day (before the crowds) and we had a great time! One of the main reasons why we came here is because they are one of the few establishments in southtown that actually has private parking, which is a main plus. We decided to sit outside since the weather was really nice. Their patio is pretty large and perfect for large groups, pets and families. Our waiter for the evening was super helpful and explained to us the different food and drinks specials. I decided to order one of their lager beer and their chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were absolutely amazing! I think they are beer battered, but perhaps don't quote me on that. My husband kept looking at my plate wishing he had ordered the tenders hahaha. I love Dos Sirenos! I recently moved to the neighborhood and I'm glad this place is in my neck of the woods. A very casual brewery with a kick ass menu! They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's been too hot for sitting outside, but they keep the inside nice and cool. Smaller selection of beer, but I got the Loki Lager and enjoyed it. We had a great, friendly server. I can not stress how good everything on the menu sounded so picking what to order was tricky! I went with the Cubanesque and couldn't have been happier.
