I enjoyed an evening out with a great friend after a long and productive week. Good conversation and a refreshing drink made for the perfect way to unwind. Idle Beer Hall & Brewery continues to impress with its welcoming atmosphere and consistently great ambiance.

Amazingly chill place! Tasty craft beers-we had the sunburst and and gold standard. Both were light and crisp. Good pours and good prices. Thr hall itself is a huge place with tons of seating and games. We played darts. Some games are free and some paid. They have a huge TV as well to watch games. Its right next to the make ready market which has food options Enjoyed my time there and would recommend.

BLUF: Solid beer, and cocktails, in a somewhat disjointed space with a lot of potential. Idle Beer Hall & Brewery should be on your radar if you're a fellow craft beer lover, and they're the last of the breweries in this area that still does craft cocktails as well, so your non-beer drinking guests have something to indulge in as well. Their location is premium and the space they're in has so much potential, but in my opinion it's a little disjointed in its current configuration. Not enough screens to be a sports bar, not enough pool tables to be a pool hall, and not enough arcade games to be an adult arcade. Personally, think they'd benefit from leaning heavier on one or two of those concepts and excelling at them instead of trying to do all of them poorly. They have two pool tables, two Skee-Ball machines, two arcade basketball machines, and some photo booths. They have a lone projector in their interior seating area, so you're stuck with whatever game they're playing, with no additional screens to check in on other games being played concurrently. You're also locked into looking in that direction if you're there for the game. They would benefit from adding a few more screens throughout the venue. No screen behind the bar indoors, but two screens behind the outdoor bar. On chillier nights they have some wood burning chimneas for warmth, but could use a few more. Things worth knowing ahead of time: Dog friendly, in and outdoors. No dedicated parking lot, but ample parking at nearby paid lots, and a limited amount of free street parking. The Make Ready Market lot offers two free hours with purchase, but not sure if an Idle Beer Hall & Brewery purchase satisfies that offering. The Make Ready Market is next door, so plenty of food options but they close relatively early so not recommended for late night dining.

Such an awesome place to come hang out for a few drinks and perhaps some yummy bites. Came here for happy hour in which they offered $4 pints and $8 cocktails, not bad! Tried a few of their cocktails which were good and interesting. I like that they make their ingredients from scratch. There are quite a few games you can play like foosball, darts, basketball, skee ball, pool noetc but they do cost money. They validate parking which is a plus considering the area. They do not sell food but you can order food from the food hall next door, pick it up and bring it to the beer hall. They have quite a few options but seems like there's a little bit of everything for everyone. Come beat the heat and quench your thirst at idle beer. Outdoor seating is available for those who'd like to be outside.

Such a cool ambiance they have created here! It's open and sprawling inside and out, but still has a cozy intimate feel. The beers are excellent and priced great. They have frozen that are always fun and yummy. Pool tables, live music, skee ball, photo booths, etc. make it a great place to hang with friends. The proximity to the market allows you to get food and explore other spots without going too far, and to appeal to everyone in your party.

Big open air conditioned bar/brewery with an outdoor patio, pool tables, and some arcade games. Great beers. You can order food directly from the make ready market food hall which is next door and very convenient. I have seen lots of dogs inside so dog friendly as well. Great place to hang with friends and have a beer, cool off in the summer.

Sundays are for Idle. We love the laid back atmosphere. Kids are ok until 7pm. DJ on Sundays.

Great brewery to check out in San Antonio! Their beer selection is small but they do offer a lot of other cocktails and shots. We came for their Happy Hour and ordered almost everything so we could try them all. I really enjoyed their frozen drinks. They also have billiards and a photobooth!

Great vibes at this spot. They allow you to bring outside food which is pretty cool or they have Make Ready Market next door. Bartenders are funny and the drinks are great.

Very nice venue with a cool ambiance. Their beer selection is pretty limited, only 6 brews. They were good examples of their styles, but it wasn't stellar. However, the stout was very tasty. It is nice they have a full bar option so you can bring more of the crowd to enjoy some time relaxing. The proximity and collab with the "food hall" next door makes it worth the trip.

Ken and Trey were great bartenders! We drank the Dad Bod and Beach, Please. Delicious! Great atmosphere, pool tables as well.

    Is there food options here?

Not in the bar, but just outside across the courtyard are a couple of food vendors. Idle is OK with you bringing in the food.

It has a large outdoor area with picnic tables, fans and water misters. There was one family that was letting their kids run like crazy so we sat inside. It's a bit warm- lots of windows with odd setup. It is counter service- so you order and they deliver. They have beer, a few wine and cider. We were on the fence overall but then my husband tasted his beer- 5/5. And the food came out: pizza 5/5 (probably the best pizza I've had in SA) and smoked turkey sandwich (whoa! Smokey but not over smoked where you are burping the taste hours later) with fries 5/5 (crisp, seasoned perfectly). We will definitely be back and so should you. You should try it now.

I think the reason I didnt "love" the pizza is because its so different with the sourdough base and not what i am used to. I would like to return and try a sandwich or something else on the menu. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. My main reason for trying out wild barley was because they have sour beers, it wasnt the best sour beer i have ever had, but i have noticed in Texas the sour beers have a strange taste to them that i cant quite put my finger on. Overall though it was refreshing and cold. my husband really enjoyed the cider. We will be back and i hope after trying something different on the menu to change my review to 5 stars,

As soon as we walked into Dos Sirenos, the staff were very friendly and greeted us right away, letting us know to grab a seat wherever we liked and that someone would be with us shortly. The drinks came out quickly, and the food wasn't far behind. Everything we ordered was delicious--honestly my only complaint was that my plate was empty by the end! I will say the GPS got a little confused in the route for some reason and I nearly missed an exit and even the entrance (there was some construction going on) There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot was pretty full. You walk up and either walk through the courtyard style Biergarten with tables or you can go inside. It was an unseasonably nice day, so, we opted to sit outside There is a QR code to view the menus. There are entrees and plenty of apps/sharables. There is also a very extensive beer menu. Make no mistake, this is their bread and butter. They boast an imprecise "99 beers on tap." There's local brews, light and dark beers, hoppy, Belgium style, German style, wheat, etc etc etc. if that's not your speed there are cocktails and non-alcoholic options. Our server was fantastic. It's been a while since have done brunch and o won't be in a hurry to return to brunch specifically The service was superb, we had a great server and he was absolutely on top of everything which was great! Beers were also great as was the mimosa I had and the kids we were with seemed to like their meals which came out last and they said theirs were hot - ours were not unfortunately. I had the Lox eggs Benedict and in retrospect should have sent it back as it was stone cold! My husband and our friend got the biscuits and gravy and also reported that they were cold - it was also served in a bowl which was a bad idea as the biscuits completely soaked up the gravy and resembled oatmeal by the time it hit the table! We got one meal - waffles and chicken to go and the waffles were inedible- poorly mixed, gritty and so much hot sauce in the mixture that they burned the back of the throat - they had to be trashed ! I love this place but won't return in a hurry for brunch - granted multiple dishes with eggs are hard to time right so we ended up with cold food that did however taste good
