Service 10/10, food 10/10, ambiance 10/10 ! We just moved to the area and were craving Indian cuisine and I'm so glad we came here. Nothing disappointed us, in fact everything exceeded our expectations, from the service to the delicious food. We will 1000% become regulars. I wish I would've taken pictures of all the food we ordered but we were so excited to eat I didn't take any!

Do not come here when you're hungry. They move slower than molasses. I waited 45min just for 3orders of dosa (TO GO). The restaurant was hot, like they had the heater on. It was very uncomfortable and the lighting is terrible. I was squinting at the menu like an 80-yr old. Seems like they're trying to save money and NOT have the A/C or vents or lights on. And even though the food was decent-tasting, their customer service was subpar. They knew it was my first time there and I was waiting there for a LONG TIME, but they never tried to chat or talk or even be friendly. The 2guys/waiters/servers/owners/or-whatever-they-are just stood there, ignoring me, avoiding eye contact. They could've given a small glass of lassi or chai while waiting.....or maybe just water, at least?!? Not once did they even offer a drink or anything to relieve my sweating. Yes, I was visibly sweating, while sitting down, waiting for my order of food. Customer service is a flat ZERO, here. Food was fine......that's why it's getting 3stars. Nothing fantastic. The dosa was fresh but lacking in taste. The dipping sauces were flavorful but the chickpea could've tasted better with more garlic and spices. Overall, the food is good if you're looking for some homemade comfort food -- but order in advance and don't go when you're already hungry. EXPECT TO WAIT. And expect zero customer service. :( I'd rather go to Pioneer St in Cerritos for my Indian food.

Absolute worst service I've ever received. Waited one hour without seatin after we were quoted 10 mins for seating. I asked for an update at the 1 hr mark and they said 30 more minutes on top of that. Reminded them I've been waiting for one hour already. There were multiple open tables. They also hand out dirty menus that are covered with other peoples food for you to view your order We were seated and never received cups or water. I literally asked five times. Service was so terrible. I had to go get my own cups and water to serve my own self. Had to go fetch my own beer from the fridge and open the bottle top with my own opener. I wouldn't be surprised if they told me to go make my own entrée. It was not that terribly busy there were about one waiter per three tables. I'm really not sure what the hype is about this Dosa spot. The daal this straight up water.

Went here on a whim being in the neighborhood and was pleasantly surprised! I've never tried dosas or chaats before so it was fun to try new items. We got the ghee masala dosa - my boyfriend LOVED it. I thought it was really good, especially the filling, but definitely really heavy with all that ghee. The dahi puri was my favorite, SO REFRESHING. Would absolutely get it again anywhere I see it on the menu. The tikka masala was good but I expected it to be more red in color? Threw us off a little but I didn't care. I'm sad this place is so far from me but so glad I got to experience these dishes and will be looking out for them in places closer to me!

As I learn to be my own company, I continue to try more spots! I'd just gotten off shift and decided to try Dosalicious! The staff were all very friendly and served me with a smile. It was a bit quiet, as the TV had been off, but it wasn't any kind of bother. There were many options to choose from, and there were sections dedicated to vegetarians! I had the Chana masala with mild spice, paratha(both my first times trying them!) and a masala chai for my drive home!! I was expecting the wait time to take a bit, but everything came out very fast! While eating, I had several staff members come up to me to check up on how I was doing which was super sweet(I personally don't find it redundant or annoying, I think hospitality is important.) The food was so yummy... beasted my plate. YUP. I see that there's a trend of people tanking this spots reviews because of tips and fees; it's pretty basic knowledge to know that there's a service fee if you dine in and if you use a card. It's California, idk what to tell you LOL. anyways, I look forward to frequenting the spot

Okay honestly this place turned out to made me mad as 8 of us went in to dine on a Sunday noon. I had gone to try idli manchurian & when they said their stove wasn't working & the only thing we could order from the menu was dosa, I was so disappointed BUT it did end up working after our first order of food came out and thank god ! I loved idli manchurian so much! Perfect crisp & flavors. Dosa was great too, just thought the medu vada could use some salt. As we were getting done, our server also told us he can't give me a container for left over sambhar .. like what? Are you trying to save plastic containers, if so I can support it. But I shamelessly asked it's ok I'll use the chai cup to take it & he was laughing at me. He did end up giving me the plastic container but mentioned how he has to listen to his manager. Honestly Indian restaurants need to get it together with customer service and management needs to be better. We also got 7% discount on cash payment & gratuity was included.

Butter cheese dosa with the potatoes on the side for extra crispiness. Their sambar is usually good.

This place could be a hit or a miss. The dosas are very delicious but their service is very slow. If you are lucky the food will taste 12/10 but on a bad day food could be 6/10. Its kinda of a love and hate relationship because we've been going there for two years now .. sometimes we leave very disappointed and other times we leave with a happy tummy. The place is crowded most of the time. I really don't know how to better describe that this place is a "dice roll" kinda thing. Went over for dinner and we waited 48 minutes for our food after placing our order. I was getting very upset when the server suddenly brought our dinner. Luckily the food was delicious... we heard another customer from the table across of us complain about their rice being super oily and was unhappy. This place is like going to a casino to try your luck. You can either leave happy or upset and disappointed. They could increase their service time.

I'm writing this review as I'm waiting for my food. Actually. I already finished writing 3 other reviews while waiting. I'm counting the clock as I await. 5 tables, 2 to go orders. Came in 12:41pm, order placed at 12:48 pm, and still waiting at 1:21 pm. The decor is really simple. The restaurant yields a scent like a homeless man, as you approach the restrooms, the scent gets stronger. 34 minutes later, my food showed without any word from the server. The food was served up in a fast food tray with disposal bowl and dish. The taste was mediocre. It comes with rice only, no nann at all. Since it's a vegetarian dish, it had no meat but boiled eggs in the masala. Foe sub par everything, the price is extremely high. Horrible. 1 out of 5.

Got a recommendation from a friend and decided to give it a try. I LOVE IT!! My favorite is ghee masala dosa and kerala parotta with chicken chettinada. The dosa is huge and crispy. They are all hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is fast even on the weekend. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Definitely will go again when I'm in the area.

I would never recommend coming to this place. I paid $20 for 3 tiny pieces of chicken. They even charged me a service fee when I checked out. The service was whatever but I would never come to this place again! The food was not good at all. I rate it a solid 3/10! read more

All i have to say is that, this is a really good place! Good selection! Got me stuffed and all the food is good and the Mango Lessi is fresh and great! This place from now on saves me the trip to Artesia. I recommend this place to anyone and come ready for an empty stomach, because you will roll out from here. Did I mention the Mango Lessi? "Average Food" and "Below Average Customer Service"- I ordered the Pav Bhaji here and the Bhaji itself is very bland; no flavor whatsoever. I asked if they could make more spicy and he replied essentially saying the food comes as is. The customer service is bland just like the food. SAVE YOUR MONEY! WASTEFUL! read more

Had heard good things so was excited to try it out. Was super hungry when arrived so normally any food would have been delicious. Rava dosa was super soft like chapati. Usually rava dosa is crispy which I enjoy. Ghee masala dosa was ok.. chettinad curry did not taste like it. Had to get up multiple times to get extra forks or napkins. The prices are like $14-16 for such dosa served on very basic paper plate. Then they charged 3.5% for using credit card over such prices. Masala chai is $4.50 btw.. read more

The food was really bad, we could see the decline in taste from the time we started to eat here. The ambiance is also not that great and clean. The service is okay, and if we mentioned something's not right, the waitress would say that " this is how it is made". Not going here anymore. read more

I am going to divide review in 2 parts as do not want to harm food review. I am restricted to go out due to my neck injury. Still took risk to go to Dosalicious as food brought home is not that Tasteful. The food as usual was excellent and authentic south Indian. Typically dosas, sambhar etc. It was worth the risk. I was their FIRST customer and recommended to my friends. I also advised owner how to contact ESRI ( lots of Indians employees) How ever the rudeness of younger 2 staff members in another shocking matter. With my health and movement restrictions (wearing a neck to waist uncomfortable brace) I picked up table with 4 chairs even though we were 2. There were atleast 4-5 3+ tables available in back. The Rudest and most unprofessional youngsters in very stern voice asked me to occupy table for 2. I tried to explain my health problem but they were so ill-mannered way insistent on my occupying smaller table. The restaurant was 20 % occupied. I offered to walk out and they said YES. Later older lady (Fatima) apologized. read more

First time trying here, heard alots of good things about this place, and when i tried it here, everything is absolutely delicious and perfect. Everything on the menu is 100% fresh and made to order. Feel free to order anything from the menu because its going to be really delicious. I am definitely going to be back here with more of my family. It's a South Indian restaurant. Being an Indian, I find most South Indian restaurants serve food that caters to local population but this one maintains a very good balance between local and Indian tastes. We tried idli, Dosa, vada and mutton biryani. Idli can be bland but here it had a taste and since we were hungry when we started it felt like bite of heaven! Menu had many options and we wanted to order one of each, but my waist decided that it will be too much even for that poor blob of tire. Btw the taste is so amazing that I had to inquire about their cook and personally complimented the folks manning the store. If u r Indian, you will find Authentic food at least what we had. If u r non Indian, try it. I don't think u will be disappointed. We plan to go again to try additional menu options some time soon. read more

Super good south indian food. Was my first time going today so i was hoping i would like what i ordered... i ended up loving the dish. Super good! (Kerala Parotta with Chicken Chettinadu) The flaky multi-layered bread is soo good with the curry - so much flavor. - reminds me of tortillas de harina made from scratch, but much thicker, and flaky. Absolutely authentic South Indian cuisine. The service is pretty fast, friendly staff and simple cafe like ambiance. We ordered the traditional Mysore Masala dosa, Chennai style podi dosa and kid's cone dosa. The dosas are crispy and soft, chutneys are delicious and fresh. Excellent food, friendly staff. Family owned business and the owners were very sweet and hospitable. I ordered the Rava onion chilli dosa and it was phenomenal. Dosalicious is so delicious! LOL! But for real, we'll be back soon! We got I think the chicken parotta, which was this wonderful flaky but also chewy bread served with a warm, rich curry. The parotta was served nice and hot...too hot to handle at first even! Very fresh. And then my sister got a ghee paneer curry sauce which I tried and it was buttery and delicious. If I did dairy, I would get it. But instead I got the lamb curry, which is made with coconut milk, not dairy cream, so I could eat it! And omg it was delicious. The meat was very tender and the curry was extraordinary. My mouth is watering thinking about the meal I just ate lol!! If you're looking for fresh, flavorful, South Indian food, I highly recommend! (Also great service! The team working there are very close and they will gladly step in to help answer your questions and make sure you're enjoying your food.) read more

Extremely poor service. Took 2 hours to get food. Forgot to bring 1 dosa and then charged extra for something we didn't order. 18% gratuity added for our group of 7 and then 3.5% for using credit cards. Might explain the poor service. Don't go in large groups. Food was good. Place looks like a cafeteria. read more

Well let's start by saying we don't go out to eat but it's more like outing for pleasant environment the lady at reception who have you sit she act like we are here to bug her not to give em business. No smile no welcome she came up and give a place to sit and never said you need something to drink or water nothing she threw the Menu and left. I asked her if I can sit on other place she was rude any how had my lunch. Next time again same attitude from not professional at all. We all have plenty of food at home to eat but we all go out more pleasant place and it's not you don't feel comfortable here some how. Over prized everything not the place to visit. They are lucky there is no negative stars. Others wise it should no 0. Good luck. read more

Great experience if you're trying South Indian food for the first time. I honestly like their chicken pakora and chicken curry. I would honestly keep coming back to this place with my friends. They also agree that their food is just as good as their family's style of cooking. You won't be disappointed by their food, it's legit and worth going to. read more

Amazing food!! I ordered the paper masala dosa, chooley batura and laccha paratha!! Super tasty and the red chutney that came with the dosa was superb!! Will definitely come back - the only con would be that the guy at the front needs to work on being nicer on the phone. He was fine at the restaurant but on the phone very cranky. read more

Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Honestly, I was not expecting any resolution. But in wisely doing this, they frankly rescued the situation and my attitude. I respected that one gracious gesture. So, while the siu mai will still never be anything I order here, there is a vast menu to explore, and a few dishes I already know will not let me down. Two of these were from our first time, the char siu baos and the shrimp with scrambled egg. These were good. That said, this is a decent business that proved they wanted my business. There is no dearth of Indian restaurants in Southern California but 'Dosalicious' is a rare gem. Don't be deceived by the name because they have plenty more than just Dosas on the menu. They offer a wide array of vegetarian and meat dishes to satisfy the taste buds of even the finickiest eater. I especially love their Idlis, Vadas, Rava Dosas, Uttapams, and the scrumptious Gobi Manchurian. The ambience, cleanliness, and customer service augment the delicious food. We had a mostly enjoyable experience here. The masala dosa was a highlight, with the accompanying chutney and sambar being equally impressive. However, the thalapakatti dum biryani was a letdown, lacking sufficient seasoning. On a positive note, the chicken 65 was flavorful and well-made.
