Suchhh a good little family owned hole in the wall spot!! A little hard to find since it's in the back of a spa, but omg, I was blown away. Everything was so good. They make their spices and a bunch of other stuff in house, so the flavors are so unique and really stand out. Owners are so sweet and easy to talk to! Food came out pretty fast as well. They do drip coffee but if they ever decided to have an espresso machine I would be so happy!! Either way, I'll definitely be back!
This is a unique spot as it is in the back of the "Alexander's salon and spa" but it it delicious and it was very reasonable. Maria and mark (I believe that was their names) were so sweet. Would eat here again.
We had such a wonderful experience here! It was a little tricky to find at first but well worth the search! The restaurant is located within the salon building. The couple that owns it is so kind and the food is amazing to say the least. Even one the things that I didn't expect to like, I ended up loving (the tomato jam is to die for)! We will definitely be coming back, I can't wait to try more things from their menu.
This place is such an amazing hidden gem! They have great customer service and food! I ordered the Turkey Bacon Croissant Sandwich with many modifications. I changed it to a panini style, hot sandwich, with sourdough bread and removed the bacon. The woman who took my order was so kind and generously accommodated all of my requests. The panini was so yummy and warm with perfectly melty cheese. It also had a good amount of turkey and spinach which I loved. The cafe is in a little corner at the of the hall in Alexander's Salon and Spa. It's the perfect place to go if you ever have a long day at the salon and want a delicious quick bite or drink nearby! I so recommend!
Second time leaving a review because it's that good. We haven't been here in a few months and we loved the new set up! Needless to say, quality and flavor is top notch!
Honestly at first it's kind of questionable because the place is inside a salon but once you try the sandwiches they are amazing ! I definitely loved how most things are made from scratch. I also had their spicy tea drink & it was good as well. They did only have a bar like place to sit & eat but overall the price was good for the quality of food. they even serve you a side of roasted potatoes & with your sandwich order & the seasoning was great! I definitely will come back. The lady that attended me was awesome & she explained how they cook & prep their food so fresh.
Wow, love this little cafe that's tucked inside of a hair salon! I've had this place bookmarked for so long and when my oldest daughter told me she stopped by and loved it, I knew I had to go. I had the OHP burrito with bacon and it was packed with flavor and love the cilantro lime sauce that comes on the side. I want like 2 of those since the burrito is pretty big! When you walk in, you just let the receptionist know you're going to the cafe and you walk towards the back and it's on the right hand side. I believe if you're already there for a salon appointment and you order from the cafe, you get a discount because the lady taking my order asked me if I was there for an appointment. There's so many other items I want to come back and try. Everything is made fresh to order, so it can take a little while to get your order. But it's so worth it because it comes out hot and delicious. Our Happy Place Cafe truly lives up to its name.
Service, food, everything was amazing. Literally a HIDDEN GEM in the back of Alexander's Spa. The owners/chefs are truly hospitable people that enjoy what they do. Ask them what they recommend and you are gonna have the best experience. Never thought a salon/spa place could have a great brunch spot. And btw the salon was full which I assume must be a great place too.
Great place to sit with your significant other and enjoy a chicken pesto panini. Marea was great and provided great service. Mark made the paninis with love and we could taste it. The Mac n Cheese was good as well with a little bit of their home made chili powder on top. Come and support this business. You won't regret it. We will be back again. The strawberry lemonade was tarty and delicious.
I don't think I've ever used the words "HIDDEN GEM" in my life but if I've ever been to a "hidden gem", this is it! I was meeting a friend for lunch and I left the location up to her. She chose a cute little café, with really good reviews that also happened to be located inside of a hair salon... I am not going to lie, I thought that was kind of odd... not odd in the sense that there was a café inside of a hair salon (because well that would be amazing if I was a customer there and could get this delicious food anytime I was getting my hair done) but I thought it was odd that we were going to this cafe from the outside in, if that makes sense? (which by the way we found out later was NOT odd. The lady sitting next to us found the café the same way we did (yelp of course) and just comes in (as a non-customer to the salon) for lunch. She actually comes so often, they consider her a regular. I also spoke with another lady who, although she DOES get her hair done at the salon, she had just come in that day to pick up lunch! But don't get me wrong, the people in the salon are ordering as well. I'm not kidding when I say for the hour or so we were sitting there l, the owner never stopped. Orders were coming in continuously and she so graciously would deliver them to the clients chair!!! That's AMAZING, especially because sometimes these hair services can take hours (IYKYK) Can't wait to go back and try something new. (I tend to be somewhat of a conservative eater as far as spice and texture and the mingling of flavors) so I went pretty standard with the turkey, bacon, provolone on a croissant (which was absolutely delicious). My friend got the spiced beet bowl and there was not a single crumb left in that bowl! This place was a 10/10 for great food & drinks, GREAT customer service and a super cool vibe!
Impeccable service, delicious food and clean cafe. Couldn't ask for anything better on a solo lunch out. I enjoyed the chicken cranberry salad which was delicious and hit the spot. Everything on the menu looked so good. I'll definitely be back again!
We almost missed Our Happy Place because we didn't realize it was inside Alexander's Salon & Spa, but I'm so glad we took the time to investigate further--what a hidden gem! I've had my fair share of breakfast burritos over the years, but nothing comes close to the one I had here. The flavors were bold, the ingredients fresh, and the sauce? Absolutely next-level. Just the right amount of spice to wake up your taste buds without overpowering the dish. Mark and Marea are absolutely killing it! If you're looking for an incredible breakfast in a cozy, welcoming spot, this is the place to be. Don't sleep on this one--you'll regret it!

Such a pleasant surprise! I came here for breakfast with my aunt, and I honestly didn't know what to expect at first. The cafe is located inside a hair salon, which definitely caught me off guard and made me a little iffy about the experience. But after trying the food, I was SO pleasantly surprised! I ordered the chicken pesto panini with tomato soup, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the food honestly exceeded my expectations by a lot. I was genuinely surprised by how good it was. I also tried the iced matcha latte. I'll be honest -- the matcha quality wasn't my favorite. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the matcha. The food, however, completely made up for it and was definitely the highlight of my visit. The service was also really good. The woman at the front was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. She was very welcoming and helpful. The ambiance is definitely unique since it's inside a hair salon. It can be a little noisy with everything going on around you, and the seating is pretty simple and casual, but honestly, it wasn't nearly as loud or distracting as I expected it to be. Once I got settled in, it really wasn't a big deal. Overall, I came in with pretty low expectations because of the unusual setup, but the food completely surprised me. First of all, the sandwich shop if that's what you want to call it ? They don't have there own place . It's located inside of Alexander salon spa. I Found this out the hard way. I went around the strip mall. So many times that I was getting dizzy because I couldn't find it. So I called the place up. It was super loud in the back ground. Seriously it was really hard to hear what she was saying. All I heard was spa that they were inside a spa location so I went to where they sell. Spas walked inside and I asked if they sold sandwiches and the guy looked at me like I was Crazy!!! So I called again, and she told me she was inside of Alexander salon and spa. The place is tiny. I can't even call it a hole in the wall. Maybe a crack In the wall It's literally a bar with a few stools in the front and in the back I couldn't see much. Being that it's a ginormous salon,, all I could smell was Aquanet and other hair chemicals in the air. I didn't see anything on the menu that looked good to me so I picked up a pesto chicken Panini for my wife with roasted potatoes. . She enjoyed her Panini, but The roasted potatoes were excessively seasoned , so much that she wind up tossing them out . I didn't take any pictures of the sandwich or potatoes. Cause I was too busy, eating my food from Tacos, puro Jalisco that's located Down the street. read more
We read the reviews. We made the decision to give the place a try. We are HAPPY we did! The food was tasty and freshly prepared. The drinks were good. Service was with a big smile and great attitude. It's a nice find even though it is located inside a salon/spa environment. It just works for the space they are in. Next time in the area, make sure you give them a try. Just be prepared for counter seating because there are no tables. Someone did come in for a takeout order while we were there. read more

I couldn't resist stopping for a soy chorizo burrito at my favorite spot. I can't believe that it is better than authentic chorizo-but it is! These guys are the best and the service is awesome even if the ambiance isn't as it is a counter at my favorite beard groomer. read more

Delicious food, just like the reviews states. Such a unique spot in the back of a salon. Cool ambiance. Owners were super friendly and service was fantastic. Seating is at the bar, probably about 10 seats. We went Saturday at 10 and had the place to ourselves. Others came and ordered takeout or coffee. Highly recommend! Would go again! Worth the 30-minute drive from OC. read more

We stumbled across this Coffee Spot inside of a salon. We found it because Yelp told us it was nearby. The owner is very friendly and she helped us order some items that she recommended. My brother ordered a basil pomegranate tea and a burrito and I ordered the yogurt parfait. Everything was SCRUMPTIOUS!!! I also got a mocha iced coffee but it was a little to sweet for me. read more

We were looking for a spot to order food so we could support a small business in the area. We found Our Happy Place Café and of course noticed the amazing reviews. We ordered our food through Grub Hub and it was delivered in a prompt manner with all food accounted for. I ordered a Chicken Cranberry Salad with a bowl of Rustic Tomato Soup. My daughter ordered a Grilled Breakfast Burrito and Avocado Toast. The Rustic Tomato Soup was obviously made from scratch and had a slightly chunky consistency. I loved the flavor but it was a little spicy for me. The Chicken Cranberry Salad had a wonderful garlic dressing and a balsamic drizzle on top. I would order this again. My daughter loved her Avocado Toast and let me try a bite of it. It came with potatoes that were really good and the Avocado Toast itself was really great. I would order that for myself next time! She really liked the burrito and it was huge! She couldn't eat it all and gave half to my husband who said it was good. All in all a great experience and now I must order again and try something else! :) Definitely recommend. read more

Place took a bit to find. It is inside of the saloon, Once arrive park and ask the attendant that you're here for the cafe and they'll direct you where to go! Beautiful atmosphere and food taste amazing as well. Will be returning soon! read more
Cafe is located inside a huge hair salon which I thought was odd, but the food did not disappoint. I ordered the quinoa chicken protein salad and it was delicious. It had beans, corn, peppers, chicken, quinoa, and avocado. The dressing was also tasty with a hint of lime and they give you extra dressing on the side. This is a delicious lunch spot if your looking to grab a quick bite. Looking forward to trying the sandwiches next time. read more
