We read the reviews. We made the decision to give the place a try. We are HAPPY we did! The food was tasty and freshly prepared. The drinks were good. Service was with a big smile and great attitude. It's a nice find even though it is located inside a salon/spa environment. It just works for the space they are in. Next time in the area, make sure you give them a try. Just be prepared for counter seating because there are no tables. Someone did come in for a takeout order while we were there. read more

First of all, the sandwich shop if that's what you want to call it ? They don't have there own place . It's located inside of Alexander salon spa. I Found this out the hard way. I went around the strip mall. So many times that I was getting dizzy because I couldn't find it. So I called the place up. It was super loud in the back ground. Seriously it was really hard to hear what she was saying. All I heard was spa that they were inside a spa location so I went to where they sell. Spas walked inside and I asked if they sold sandwiches and the guy looked at me like I was Crazy!!! So I called again, and she told me she was inside of Alexander salon and spa. The place is tiny. I can't even call it a hole in the wall. Maybe a crack In the wall It's literally a bar with a few stools in the front and in the back I couldn't see much. Being that it's a ginormous salon,, all I could smell was Aquanet and other hair chemicals in the air. I didn't see anything on the menu that looked good to me so I picked up a pesto chicken Panini for my wife with roasted potatoes. . She enjoyed her Panini, but The roasted potatoes were excessively seasoned , so much that she wind up tossing them out . I didn't take any pictures of the sandwich or potatoes. Cause I was too busy, eating my food from Tacos, puro Jalisco that's located Down the street. read more

Suchhh a good little family owned hole in the wall spot!! A little hard to find since it's in the back of a spa, but omg, I was blown away. Everything was so good. They make their spices and a bunch of other stuff in house, so the flavors are so unique and really stand out. Owners are so sweet and easy to talk to! Food came out pretty fast as well. They do drip coffee but if they ever decided to have an espresso machine I would be so happy!! Either way, I'll definitely be back! read more

This place is such an amazing hidden gem! They have great customer service and food! I ordered the Turkey Bacon Croissant Sandwich with many modifications. I changed it to a panini style, hot sandwich, with sourdough bread and removed the bacon. The woman who took my order was so kind and generously accommodated all of my requests. The panini was so yummy and warm with perfectly melty cheese. It also had a good amount of turkey and spinach which I loved. The cafe is in a little corner at the of the hall in Alexander's Salon and Spa. It's the perfect place to go if you ever have a long day at the salon and want a delicious quick bite or drink nearby! Honestly at first it's kind of questionable because the place is inside a salon but once you try the sandwiches they are amazing ! I definitely loved how most things are made from scratch. I also had their spicy tea drink & it was good as well. They did only have a bar like place to sit & eat but overall the price was good for the quality of food. they even serve you a side of roasted potatoes & with your sandwich order & the seasoning was great! I definitely will come back. The lady that attended me was awesome & she explained how they cook & prep their food so fresh. read more

We had such a wonderful experience here! It was a little tricky to find at first but well worth the search! The restaurant is located within the salon building. The couple that owns it is so kind and the food is amazing to say the least. Even one the things that I didn't expect to like, I ended up loving (the tomato jam is to die for)! We will definitely be coming back, I can't wait to try more things from their menu. read more

Wow, love this little cafe that's tucked inside of a hair salon! I've had this place bookmarked for so long and when my oldest daughter told me she stopped by and loved it, I knew I had to go. I had the OHP burrito with bacon and it was packed with flavor and love the cilantro lime sauce that comes on the side. I want like 2 of those since the burrito is pretty big! When you walk in, you just let the receptionist know you're going to the cafe and you walk towards the back and it's on the right hand side. I believe if you're already there for a salon appointment and you order from the cafe, you get a discount because the lady taking my order asked me if I was there for an appointment. There's so many other items I want to come back and try. Everything is made fresh to order, so it can take a little while to get your order. But it's so worth it because it comes out hot and delicious. Our Happy Place Cafe truly lives up to its name. read more

Great place to sit with your significant other and enjoy a chicken pesto panini. Marea was great and provided great service. Mark made the paninis with love and we could taste it. The Mac n Cheese was good as well with a little bit of their home made chili powder on top. Come and support this business. You won't regret it. We will be back again. I don't think I've ever used the words "HIDDEN GEM" in my life but if I've ever been to a "hidden gem", this is it! I was meeting a friend for lunch and I left the location up to her. She chose a cute little café, with really good reviews that also happened to be located inside of a hair salon... I am not going to lie, I thought that was kind of odd... not odd in the sense that there was a café inside of a hair salon (because well that would be amazing if I was a customer there and could get this delicious food anytime I was getting my hair done) but I thought it was odd that we were going to this cafe from the outside in, if that makes sense? (which by the way we found out later was NOT odd. The lady sitting next to us found the café the same way we did (yelp of course) and just comes in (as a non-customer to the salon) for lunch. She actually comes so often, they consider her a regular. I also spoke with another lady who, although she DOES get her hair done at the salon, she had just come in that day to pick up lunch! But don't get me wrong, the people in the salon are ordering as well. I'm not kidding when I say for the hour or so we were sitting there l, the owner never stopped. Orders were coming in continuously and she so graciously would deliver them to the clients chair!!! That's AMAZING, especially because sometimes these hair services can take hours (IYKYK) Can't wait to go back and try something new. (I tend to be somewhat of a conservative eater as far as spice and texture and the mingling of flavors) so I went pretty standard with the turkey, bacon, provolone on a croissant (which was absolutely delicious). My friend got the spiced beet bowl and there was not a single crumb left in that bowl! This place was a 10/10 for great food & drinks, GREAT customer service and a super cool vibe! read more

This is a small cafe located inside Alexander's Arman Salon & Spa. The sandwiches are delicious! We had the pesto chicken panini with tomato soup and the cranberry chicken salad. Of course I forgot to take pictures ‍. The sandwich is on a French roll with chicken, bacon, cheese, arugula, pesto and a tomato spread. Served fresh and piping hot. The bread is toasted perfectly in the panini press. Dipped in the tomato soup is so yummy! The cranberry chicken salad has goat cheese, almonds and bacon. With a balsamic glaze and a garlic sauce. Delicious! It does take a minute to get your food but it is worth the wait. I will definitely be eating lunch there every time I get my haircut. read more

Seating is at the bar, probably about 10 seats. We went Saturday at 10 and had the place to ourselves. Others came and ordered takeout or coffee. Highly recommend! Would go again! I saw all the great reviews on the food so I had to give this place a try. This is a small restaurant inside a beauty depot spot - with various beauty vendors (nails, hair, massage, facials, etc). It's a very unique spot. I found out about this place because I got a facial booked by one of the estheticians who said a lot of customers come just to eat here. It may be easy to miss but the spot is worth finding, trust me. We got the chance to speak to one of the owners, and she was very friendly and welcoming. She took the time to give us recommendations and get to know us as customers. In terms of seating, it's all bar seating and there are about 6-8 chairs. I ordered a salad with a side of tomato soup and my husband ordered a sandwich. I can't remember which exact ones but the food was great and tasted healthy and fresh. I'd highly recommend giving this place a try for lunch or brunch if you're in the area. read more

We stumbled across this Coffee Spot inside of a salon. We found it because Yelp told us it was nearby. The owner is very friendly and she helped us order some items that she recommended. We were looking for a spot to order food so we could support a small business in the area. We found Our Happy Place Café and of course noticed the amazing reviews. We ordered our food through Grub Hub and it was delivered in a prompt manner with all food accounted for. I ordered a Chicken Cranberry Salad with a bowl of Rustic Tomato Soup. My daughter ordered a Grilled Breakfast Burrito and Avocado Toast. The Rustic Tomato Soup was obviously made from scratch and had a slightly chunky consistency. I loved the flavor but it was a little spicy for me. The Chicken Cranberry Salad had a wonderful garlic dressing and a balsamic drizzle on top. I would order this again. My daughter loved her Avocado Toast and let me try a bite of it. It came with potatoes that were really good and the Avocado Toast itself was really great. I would order that for myself next time! She really liked the burrito and it was huge! She couldn't eat it all and gave half to my husband who said it was good. Yeah so I came expecting something entirely different from their pictures absolutely terrible location. 1st off this place doesn't have their own location they sublease from a salon I was expecting a cafe that wasn't filled with 90% salon clients walking around just doesn't present the atmosphere of a cafe more of a beauty parlor and that's not what I was looking for I was looking for a quiet local space that's relaxing and chill this place isn't one of those it's pretty much a massive salon with a coffee cart thrown into the corner sorry guys not what I am looking for. Tried out this cafe thru Door Dash. That was a big risk considering I was hungry and read thru Yelpers this place is located in a salon. Honestly I think cafes or restaurants from salons or even car washes end up being the best. Lol I regret not taking pictures of our orders but I can tell you they were delicious - Chicken Panini and Chicken Cranberry Salad. Both were very delicious and a good-size portion as a side for my sandwich, I ordered the tomato soup - YUM! The staff wrote 'Thank you' and 'Enjoy' on our boxes. I thought that was cute. Goes to show they value every order. Would I eat/ order food again from here? Heck yeah! Highly recommend this restaurant, even if it's thru Door Dash. :) read more

The first half of the building is the cafe where you'll be greeted with some cute and funny coffee signs. There's two large shelves full of their own coffee beans of different roasts. They have a few small tables to sit and enjoy your orders, but note it is a bit of a tight fit in there. They also have a coffee bar where some people sat in front of the baristas. Past the cafe side is the creamery. I was in a rush and didn't have a chance to take a look. What we ordered; 1) Hot Mocha Rocha with soy milk - 5/5 stars. I forgot to ask for this as half sweet, but either way, it was absolutely delicious. Rich and very flavorful. 2) Iced Mocha Rocha - 5/5 stars. Just as delicious as the hot version. 3) pistachio muffin - 3/5 stars. This muffin had a generous amount of actual pistachio baked into the muffin itself which I liked, however, the muffin had more of an artificial pistachio flavor for me. I still ate it but I wasn't in love with that one. 4) chocolate croissant - 5/5 stars. This was such a hit, we ran out right away. Everyone in our group attacked these so fast. I have to say, I am SAD that I live so far from Deep Barrel Roasters & Creamery. They have a lot of pastries, ice cream including deep fried ice cream, and beverages. I absolutely loved this place and look forward to visiting them again. Next time, I for sure will grab a dozen or more to share with the family and bring some home, and we will definitely grab some frozen treats too. Deep Barrel, is a gem. The service at the counter was frenzied and focused. Every time I needed my coffee refilled, the server was on it. The food came quickly and there were frequent check-ins. It's literally everything you could want in customer service at a counter. Yes, the ambiance is bit crowded and a bit hectic. I don't envy trying to get a seat in the dining room because everything is but cramped up in there. That being said, I don't think anyone waited longer than fifteen minutes and folks seemed genuinely glad to be there. It's the price you pay for eating at a popular breakfast spot with breakfast entrees this delicious. Plus, eating at the counter always seemed open. The chilaquiles had a nicely seasoned verde sauce but the pork chunks themselves were hard and lean. That was a turn off. Mr B also got a side of bacon. It was crisp and super thin. I thought it tasted good, but he did not. And at a $4 charge for two skinny slices, it was not worth it. More bad news. Some of the food, particularly the sausages and the ranchera sauce, came out of the kitchen slightly warmer than room temperature. This happened both visits. On our first visit they were not particularly busy, so it was hard to justify why things cooled down so quickly, even before arriving at our table. The second visit, I ended up sending the cold sausage back and requested they cook it longer. That backfired, because then, the sausage links came back way overdone. I had complained enough that visit, so I just left them uneaten. The sausage did not come home with our leftovers. This little cafe has strengths but also weaknesses, some of which I cannot forgive, like weak coffee and cold food. I cannot agree with others that this is the best Corona has to offer for breakfast. They're good, but we have better, more consistent options.

I'm truly not a picky eater but when I dish out $70 for breakfast for two, I expect it to taste good and be able to finish it. Sadly, we couldn't finish it and it went in the trash. Maybe those locals have a different palette and taste than us. Never, ever again. I regretted my purchase and wish I would've spent a fraction of the price for breakfast at the nearby Jack in the Box.

The red and green salsas were watery and lacked flavor. The matcha horchata tasted full of sugar. Overall, the food was not good, overpriced, the service was poor, and the experience was not worth the drive or the money. We won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to others. Do better!
