We visited as a family of seven on a Friday at 8:00 PM. While we were seated promptly and initially greeted with water, the overall experience quickly went downhill. The Good: Ambiance & First Impressions: The atmosphere is lovely, and the place settings (plates and utensils) are very nice. Prompt Seating: Despite being a busy Friday night, we didn't have to wait to be seated. Service Issues: Menu Knowledge: When we asked basic questions about menu items, the explanations were vague and unhelpful. Extremely Slow & Neglectful: We waited over 50 minutes for our main meal. During this long wait, our water glasses were never refilled, and some of our drink orders were forgotten entirely until we reminded the staff multiple times. Missing Food & Billing Error: We ordered a salad that never arrived. When I asked about it, we were told they had run out because "most customers ordered salad today." To top it off, they still charged us for the missing salad, and I had to request that it be removed from the bill. Payment Process: After the neglectful table service, we ultimately had to walk up to the counter ourselves just to settle the check. Food Quality & Value: Quality & Quantity: The food tasted okay, but the portion sizes were quite small given the high price point. Details: For a restaurant that invests in nice tableware and charges higher prices, handing out cheap paper napkins feels like an odd disconnect. Bottom Line: This restaurant has great bones--the ambiance is wonderful--but there is significant room for improvement in staff training, communication, and overall value. Service was great as well Top favorites were the kabab platter (perfect level of spice/ not overbearing) and great portion size Chicken Karahi was also freshly made with none of the nonsense tomato paste stuff. This was one of the worst mismanagement I have ever seen. We called around 4pm, to try and get reservations. We finally connected with someone around 4:30 and were told it was first come first serve for Mother's Day. We arrived around 5:45pm. We were told there was a 45 minute wait so we waited. We checked in after 45 minutes only to be told most likely another 45 minutes....we asked if a smaller table was available. We would squeeze in. No menus were ever given to us. We started looking online on our phones and went to the counter to order as no one was coming by to even acknowledge us. The food took more time than you can imagine to come out. And the waitress was piling it onto one spot. At one point my daughter literally had to move her plate off the table and hold it in her hand. We had to suggest to the waitress to move to other end to put some items on that side. We asked for water no ice, and the guys goes back and brings a pitcher with ice. The staff seemed super confused. Now comes the food. This was sadly horrible. The bbq platter is $35 and the meat on it was not good. This came with malai boti, chicken Tikka, bihari boti, seekh kabob. The seekh kabob was dry. The pieces that came were the size of my pinky. The bihari boti was also dry and did not fall apart. Both lacked flavor as well. The malai boti was the only item I would say was well marinated and had some flavor. The chicken Tikka looked lackluster. The reshmi kabob was ordered separately and was nothing special. The nihari was decent, with aromatic flavor. The karahi was another just okay. We asked them to make it extra spicy for us and that was not taken into consideration. The saddest or most disappointing item was the birayni. I am a huge biryani fanatic and this was by far one of the worst I have had. It was plain rice with dye and three pieces of dry chicken. Clearly the chicken was made separately and just added to the rice mixture. I asked them to make it super spicy for me, but what I got was boiled rice. I mean seriously?!?! The prices weren't cheap either. When I am waiting 1.5 hours to be seated and ordering, at least food should be amazing. This place needs to improve on everything to keep running. We won't be back. Last night we went to Mizaaj Restaurant at 7pm--and yes, I'm mentioning the time because they open at 4pm and somehow had already run out of multiple dishes by then. Impressive... just not in a good way. There's clearly a lot of hype thanks to social media, but the place itself isn't nearly big enough to handle the crowd they're pulling in. It felt less like a restaurant and more like a chaotic house party where everyone's just trying their best. Now let's talk portions--because apparently that's optional here. Everything was tiny, and I genuinely don't remember seeing actual pieces of meat or chicken... even in the biryani. The butter chicken? Pink. Yes, pink chicken. Not exactly the kind of "surprise" anyone wants with dinner. For the prices they're charging, you'd expect the food to at least show up--and be cooked. We drove all the way from Irvine to Corona for this, which in hindsight feels like a very committed way to be disappointed. And the service? Confused is putting it kindly. The staff didn't seem to know the menu, orders were all over the place, and there was zero sense of coordination. It just felt completely out of control. The butter chicken was well seasoned and lots of extra sauce to dip the naan. Garlic naan was yummy and made fresh. The ambience was so vibey. Every dish was bursting with flavor. We ordered the chicken 65, darkah daal, and beef paya. You can tell a lot of care went into the food here. Service was just as impressive. Super attentive without being overbearing and they gave us the best recommendation: mango mojito (mocktail). SO good I'm still craving it 10/10 experience. Wanted to try the place due to lots of noise on TikTok. I will give them props for their investment and risk starting a new Pakistani restaurant. Here is my honest review for each department, this includes positive criticism and advice when I compare to similarly priced restaurants: Service: The waitress/staff needs to learn the menu and know what is each dish on the menu is made out of. We asked a few questions and she had no idea what the dish is. Host: the host had no idea how to seat people immediately and was not very professional. Food: The food which we did receive was taste wise good, but very small portions. The malai boti was under cooked the chicken was a bit hard, not to the par of malai level. Biryani was about $20 with only 2/3 small pieces of chicken and not loaded with rice. The butter chicken was very sweet. They ran out of 2 out of their 4/5 chicken items at 7pm right at start of dinner time. Need to improve here. Menu Quality: They should define the allergens present under the dish, which clearly states what allergens are present in the food. Very important for those with allergies. Furniture: The booth benches need to be bolted down, they move around as soon as you stand up. The chairs were made well though. In a nutshell, staff needs proper restaurant training as its current a chaos and food needs more attention and slightly larger portions for the price we paid. read more

Just had dinner at Mizaaj. This is our 4th time dining there and just like previous times it was an awesome and delicious experience. I think the staff needs to get it together, if you're going to have a high-end prices like Mint or Gulnaaz you should follow in their footsteps of service and staff also. Everything could've used some more seasoning less spices. Pani puri - I can make better at home with an airfryer and Shan's Pani puri masala Samosa - the potato filling inside didn't taste fresh. Weird grainy texture. Chicken karahi - lacking salt but not oil or spices. Mango mocktail - didn't understand the concept of A Gummy bear in it but hope it was Halal. Aesthetic - I would give it a solid 8.3/10. I do not understand the concept of tacky faux flowers, they accumulate so much dust n crap and I highly doubt someone is going to be dusting the wall anytime soon. Bathroom that I picked was disgusting. Despite it the crew looking busy, the service was lacking. The females working were not friendly, and were having their own ghichpich. It was busy night for them and the line was out the door but we had to wait for a loooong time to get our bill even though we asked for it twice. Meanwhile people waiting to be seated were having a stare-a-thon with us, making us uncomfortable. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Dined here with my family for mothers day, after waiting almost 2 hours to be seated. We had to wait another hour for food. While waiting for food, we had to ask for water at least 3 times before they served it to us. The service was awful, and there was no food. We tried to order chicken biryani, beef biryani, and seek kebab, but were constantly told they were out and no longer available. The BBQ platter was way overpriced. The staff was not paying attention at all. And after such a bad experience, they had the audacity to charge us 18% service fee. I will not be dining here again. read more

The food is decent however, there were a couple of things definitely worth noting before coming here. Before ordering food, water was ordered for the entire table, they brought out water bottles and charged $2.50 per bottle (without any mention of not having tap water). The menu had a wide array of bbq meats so we ordered the bbq platter (server mentioned the bbq platter came with 4 or 5 different meat dishes combined), my biggest regret besides coming here is not taking a picture of the "bbq platter" literally $35 for a thin and vertical "platter" identical to the size of the trays rolls of sushis are served in. The Ironic part is they bring your food out in giant trolleys just to serve a ridiculously small portion of food, even the servers looked hesitant handing the food onto the table knowing very well the majority of people are going to complain about the ridiculously small portion size (especially the bbq "platter" you must see it to believe it). read more
