Came here because I wanted to try the pretty drinks but there is no milk alternative to the coconut milk sadly so I could not have any of the specialty drinks and had to end up ordering a mineral water with some syrup. It was not bad but I did take long for it just being a Topo-Chico and syrup. It's really pretty around tho nice place to walk around.

Dose is a great yoga studio with a smoothie bar attached. There's a small dog park located just adjacent to the studio so be sure to bring Fido. The açaí bowl had many quality ingredients that were presented nicely. The natural flavors of the base were enhanced with the quality ingredients. The açaí base was to frozen. I understand these are probably prepared before hand and frozen to preserve freshness. Improve the consistency of the base and ensure it's not frozen and this would be a 5 star bowl.

Dose Yoga in North Hills has a few treasures not available at the downtown Raleigh studio. Ashley Stern is wonderful and offers a "Sound Journey" class, and Emily Byrd leads a "Breath + Beat" breath work class. Both are exceptional teachers and these offerings are done in the comfort of the "womb room". (pictured in this review) These wellness classes are included in the unlimited membership, which I find generous and a welcome change of pace from sweating buckets. Definitely check them out if you're into meditation, sound healing, and breath work. This location also has a sauna + cold plunge room, for those interested in contrast therapy. I highly recommend trying a session if you never have! My overall experience at Dose has been very positive, in particular with great teachers like Alex, Kai, and Lauren. The concept is solid and most of the staff (teachers, helpers, and smoothie bar) are warm, friendly, and without any ego in their vibe. You may run into exceptions, but the higher-ups cared enough to reach out to me when I had an issue--which was surprising in a good way. Regardless of who you are or what your skill level is, Dose is worth giving a chance. Almost everyone takes breaks during the hot classes, so don't feel bad if you need to. Remember that your practice isn't about self-image, ego, or anything external. Nor is it about comparisons and thinking you're better/worse than others. Ananda is a journey within. "Yoga is the only thing you can do that makes you better at everything you do."

I thought the classes were pricey for the area at $16 a class, but they do offer pay what you can community classes. According to their website they designed their studio environmentally green including using only "non-petroleum soy candles". Music is played during class which is nice. The studio has high ceilings and tall windows, but really only comfortably fits about 15 people practicing at once, but they can squeeze in 45 or so with mats 3 inches apart from each other. They have a store in the front with lots of books, dvds, and clothing. With a name like Blue Lotus I was expecting to see a blue wall somewhere or a lotus candle, something that plays on their name in the decor, but I think they were going for a white space with minimal decor. The students that come here are all very friendly and chat with each other.

And now my muscles are making sure I'm acutely aware of those poses. Carrington wasn't afraid to adjust pretty much everyone in her class, and I have to admit her adjustments were just about perfect. The studio is off the beaten path, and parking was sparse. There is only one bathroom and no other changing area, so get there early if you need to change. But the space is perfect for yoga. Not pretentious, but still clean, spacious, and inviting. Definitely check out Blue Lotus, and I highly recommend Carrington's class, especially if you have a decent practice or just want your butt kicked. Your muscles may hate you the next couple of days, but you'll be proud of yourself after that :)

I've experienced 2 different instructors and both were patient & encouraging, I even cried in one of the sessions because that particular practice resonated with me so much. The studio is very clean. The bathroom was in impeccable shape. They offer some amazing products for cleaning up too one in particular that caught my eye was the Indie Lee Product. I didn't bring a mat but I was able to us one of theirs, the fee is $2. They offer a wide variety of drinks and I heard someone raving about the coconut water. Signing in is easy and quick. You just find your name and press check in. The cubbies are in the front and they lock the doors during a session to ensure safety of your things. Overall the studio, class instructors and staff are amazing. Such an amazing place to do yoga in Raleigh. Ps, there is plenty of parking too.

I was blown away on how quickly everyone remembers your name.. it's a small thing.. but to me it, it made a world of difference. It's proof they truly do care about getting to know their community. I signed up for the yearly unlimited pass and could not be happier with all of the classes they offer. They have been extremely safe during covid, making sure everyone wears masks.
