Wanted to improve drainage in the backyard to prevent heavy rain ponding along back patio. The…read moreplan was to replace our existing drainage with a french drain system. Work was done in less than 2 weeks. It was muddy/dirty as they dug the trench for the drain while trying to avoid the existing sprinkler system in the yard. They connected existing backyard drains and some gutter downspouts where that made sense to the new drainage system. To complete the job, they repaired a few sprinkler heads and connections that were damaged and power washed sidewalks and driveway. They also saved the grass that was removed digging the trench and replaced them over the completed drain system.

I leave a voicemail and 2 texts because there are 2 different numbers. I wait all day Thursday to try to receive a response because I understand people are busy.. nothing. I send another text Friday morning again asking if anytime works for them for us to come by and almost instantly receive a text back saying they will only be there Sunday from 10-1. OK, I then ask if they happen to have any of the plants I am looking for just so I don't go out there and waste both of our time. They said they have to check. Great! We're getting somewhere! No response back again. Later that evening I shoot them another text just to see if they had the time to see if they had any in stock. Now if the possibility was there that I was about to sell a $200 plant to someone I would try to do my best to at the very least FIND OUT if we have the plant in stock. No response. Saturday I send another message asking what time is best to come by on Sunday. Tells me that they're at the farmers market today and that any time works on Sunday between 10-1. A 3 hour window. Well, being on vacation I already have plans at that time, go figure. I ask if they happen to have any rare plants at the farmers market but they said no, BUT they do have 2 smaller plants that I am looking for in stock. YES! I ask them how much the plant is going to cost because I prefer to pay in cash, nothing. I ask if they happen to ship to the mainland because I'm obviously not going to be able to go in there to look at it. Maybe I can just pay them for it and have them ship it... no response. This is Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening I ask if they will be there Monday? All they say is they will be there Sunday. OK. Once again I ask for the price of the plant at 8:22 AM and nothing. No response. I text them AGAIN at 1:52 asking if they are at the business because my diving trip was over and thought maybe I could catch them and instantly I get a text back saying no. I send 3 more messages over the course of the day asking if Monday would work, if they knew the price, and informing them that I do leave on Tuesday and would love a chance to see them before I leave, once again hoping we can come to an agreement so I can buy this pricey plant. Nothing. Today, Monday, I send them another message at 8:30 AM to see if I can come by some time today to look at the plants and almost instantly I get a text back saying that their niece is in the ER and won't be able to make it in. I understand that, but every other time I have tried to reach out to set something up I get nothing. It seems that it was easy enough to instantly respond to some of my messages but to some it wasn't worth it. I am not difficult to work with and I was extremely nice and patient in our conversations and nothing. It wasn't like I was going to waste their time; this is a dream plant of mine and was prepared to spend A LOT of money on it. I just think business could have been conducted a lot better. One word responses will not help make you any money if a business is by appointment only. I do NOT recommend you even bother trying to visit DHP.

We emailed back and forth to confirm a date and time I could come back to pickup the new sheets. The day of I drove up to their site in Mililani and was surprised how many sheets of grass was extended as an apology. TBH, I was only expecting to pick up a few sheets of grass, but to my surprise and deep gratitude he was kind enough to give me a lot more sheets and again apologized for the last order.
