Plus there is sort of a path that goes around the park (if you include the regular sidewalk on one side). There are a lot of nice trees, but I would say there is about 50% shade coverage. So for me that may not be enough. But for others who want to use the facilities and don't mind the heat, it could be nice.

The park does close on Wednesday mornings for landscaping but reopens at noon. On weekends, it definitely gets more traffic, but it never feels overwhelming thanks to the space and layout. There are no shaded areas so plan to visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon. However, if you end up here right in the middle of the day, don't worry! Your kids will be excited to cool down at the adjacent water park- also free! In between the city and water park there is a nice mostly shaded playground. This was such a fun place to visit! There is a big mall within a 10 min drive so you can make this a day trip!

I loved that it was wading depth water the whole way around. Plenty of room to walk and swim around. honestly great for all ages. They have a good amount of seating. Life guards are on duty. I loved how they did a routine child/parent check as well. The facilities were REALLY clean and the water was perfect. They have concessions for food and soft drinks. We will be back for sure!
