The Double Eagle Saloon has reopened and remodeled. Operating out of the same space that once belonged to dive bar Good Sports, The Double Eagle is in a totally different league. I've had many meals at the Double Eagle and every order has been perfect. The Nice Guy Nickie and Sloppy Charlotte are two of the best, but it's difficult to select a favorite when everything on the menu is fantastic; even the Basic Burger unlocks flavor and aroma profiles that surpass Kobe Prime. The presentation is far beyond what one would expect from bar food. The vegetables must be locally grown and picked daily. Bring your appetite since the portions are huge. Brandi is the most congenial and experienced mixologist/sommelier this side of the Rocky Mountains. Her custom libations are divinely inspired. To top it off, the lead singer of the popular band 11:11 serenades the patrons with his solo acoustic act during dinner. This is our go-to spot around the corner. The best cheesesteak in vineland is always a topic for debate, but Double Eagle has it. The wings are almost always excellent, and depending upon the chef, my preference for a medium rare burger is honored. Their dry rub was hard to pass up, a artful mix of spicy, sweet, and salty, but it has become inconsistent over the last few years. There is a solid selection of good local beers. The inside can be loud if it's crowded, so if you're seeking a quiet place to eat, sit on the (enclosed) porch if it's open. Service is usually quick and friendly. Love this place. read more

Update - place is dead... I mean dead. First bartender was nice and attentive. Thank goodness I cashed out with het before she left. Food service with 6 people in the bar was slow. Not quite sure why. The food was good and fresh and the cook came out and she was nice. Fast forward to shift change and the bartender that showed up with the cocky manager had the attention span of a flea. No hello, no recognition of our empty drinks sitting on the bar rail. She was more interested showing some old guy pictures on her phone that nursed a beer over an hour and half. Meanwhile our check was well over a hundred. After coughing - waving and making comments pretty loudly, to get the twits attention, we decided to go to one of the much better establishments that surround this dump. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The appetizers were good. A very nice experience four stars until I got dinner. Cheese curds and crab fries were great. Then dinner came. I honestly don't even know what those burgers are made of. Super salty, greyish patty with funny texture. Even the pork barbecue was super salty. I get food prices are high but just charge a little more for your burgers and don't serve whatever that was. Not a good way to end the night. This used to be one of my favorite places. What the heck happened here? I know place is for sale but, gotta do better till sold. Went on Saturday evening for special event. There was only 1 waitress on duty for entire business and one bartender, both did a pretty good job considering. We ordered 2 appetizers, Calamari was more peppers than calamari, the oil was dripping from it, not even a little crispy and was cold. Also, ordered Guacamole and chips, Guacamole was tasteless and chips were blah. Other guests were not pleased with food either. Since the appetizers were that bad, we decided not to order an entree. I brought my mom got a late lunch after hearing good things. The food is very good, they offer a great selection of sandwiches and appetizers, all of which sound good. We went with a pulled pork and brisket, which was very good. The corn fritters are made in house and very tasty. The screened porch offers a great view of the area farms. Our service was great any it was happy hour, so $2 bottles of hard cider. We will definitely be back, my only suggestion would be to add a few "dinner" type items or specials such as a rack of ribs or crab cake platter. Give them a try! read more

Just had takeout from this establishment. Not the first time I've been disappointed. Long wait time for food. Everything is totally over-salted. It's a shame, they could try to offer food that is healthier. Their salads are a joke; overpriced, tiny portions that would barely satisfy a toddler. If you're into fatty, salty and basic bar food, go and visit. If not, stay away. read more

The staff is very rude. I called to order food based off of what was on their website. I was rudely told that they don't make what I was ordering anymore. And that their menu is posted on Facebook. I don't have a Facebook I cannot access the menu. Why wouldn't you update your actual website with your menu? What is the point in paying for a website if it doesn't have up to date information on it? Anyway I called back and ordered something else and the girl that answered the phone was rude and acting like answering a phone call and taking an order was her going above and beyond in her job. The food is always good. I am especially fond of their Mexican Mondays specials. The sweet corn fritters are always crisp and delicious. I often order the baby spinach and arugula salad. It's always fresh and the citrus dressing is a perfect light and tasty accoutrement. The only downfall is the mediocre service. It can be hit or miss to get a good server. Too often I have to wait for a refill or an extra napkin for a long period of time. read more

Extremely disappointed in the owner. Lost out on 40 to 50 people after their beautiful wedding at the eastlyn golf course. He didn't hold his word to stay open just an hour late. Lights when on as soon as we got there and he could care less. We should have taking the party limo back to mayslanding. Thanks for ruining the end of their evening. read more

I used to work for the double eagle before the fire. It was once called DeLeos Good Sports Bar. I remember going to that bar with my dad when I was a kid. The food is outstanding there. Always a great meal and service st the Double Eagle. We've been going at least weekly since they've reopened and are never disappointed. The wings are probably the best in the South Jersey/Philly area and the BBQ is always spot on. Very good beer selection with the national, imports, craft and local brews. Top shelf drinks, also. After an appointment I wanted to get a bite and looked up bars near me. This place came up. Was off the beaten path, so I took a shot. Happy I did. Difficult sign for a restaurant/bar, at first glance I thought it was an insurance company. But when I opened the door, the room is very impressive. Clean, nice bar with 16 beers on tap. Bartender Matt could not have been nicer. Thank you Matt for letting me vent a bit. Was happy with the food. I ordered the Kara's Kreation. Will come back when I am in the area and will definitely recommend to anyone. read more

This was hands down the absolute worst dining experience my family has ever had. The waitress was swamped and had to watch the manager at 6pm Sunday (May 29th for those keeping score) sit with a party of 2 for over 20 minutes and smugly laugh at our requests to help her out and accommodate our order requests. It's a shame Mr. Buono leaves the reputation of a restaurant to the ability of a manager who is totally incompetent and rude. I will be spending the next 4 weeks in the Vineland area and will NOT be frequenting the Double Eagle Saloon. read more
