Sad it says open til 2 but last call and drink was at 1:20am very disappointing. Came out for nothing but bitchy lack of service.

Emily is the most attentive bartender! She's funny and super sweet to the customers. Love this place!

Too packed for a little bar.. Feels like I'm walking down a school hallway that just had a bell ring for class dismissal.

It feels like a relic from an earlier era, but you know what, I dug it. The parking lot and the…read moreinterior were huge, but I came at opening on a weekday, so it looked a lot more empty inside than it was. Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. For dessert, we had to try the peach melba delight, which was a giant goblet of vanilla ice cream, peaches in juice, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Deceptively simple but extremely tasty and great to share There's a large bar area and the bathrooms are nice. This place is great for larger groups that include older people. The food is good and the atmosphere did feel like it was from another time, but we had a good time, and it's nice to see a place like this still around.

The food here is delicious. There are a ton of options to choose from, and everything is made fresh and served hot (I mean, unless it's supposed to be served cold, like a salad - you know what I mean people!). They have daily specials and you may need to sit down for this one: they honor their specials for take-out. What? Yes, that is correct. Monday: wing night Tuesday: tacos Wednesday: cheesesteaks Thursday: burgers Try them all and see what you like! Over the past decade, I've gotten to know the bartenders a little bit and I appreciate them because they serve good drinks and are friendly. They are also prompt! When they have a moment, they take the time to chat a little with me and I like that. The pub itself is cozy. The lighting is always appropriate for what's going on and there are plenty of TVs around, displaying the local sports teams. Sometimes there is live entertainment, too. You can sit and eat at the bar but there are also booths, tables, and high-tops to choose from. I uploaded some menu photos because this site did not have any. Go check out Kavanagh's Irish Pub & Grille - I know you will love it!

I had the cheesesteak for lunch, and took the Long Hots to go for an appetizer Saturday! AND, the bartender owns the ice cream store a1/4 mile in the opposite direction of where I was going, BUT, I had to go and try it out! ANOTHER great spot!!! When heading "down the shore", take the back roads and stop in Malaga, NJ for a couple great stops!!
