This place is pretty awesome. Nothing fancy here -- just a good old bar, billiards and killer food. Went with the Clams Italiano and the loaded baked potato. Here is a tip from a local. Get their small steamer clams by the 50 its extremely affordable and addicting. Once you try them it will be part of your ordering out or take-out routine. Took the advice of the Yelper who recommended the steamed clams. Wow, was he on point. They were amazing, they all were opened up nicely with no dead/closed clams. Served with melted butter and hot sauce. I dont think they were little necks bc they were pretty big. But succulent none the less. 4*s bc I have had plenty other items on the menu that I highly recommend. Try their cheesesteaks, homeade daily soups, broiled crab cakes, and my fav the fried shrimp basket. So i dont get the review about being a racist establishment. We stopped in ( riding around snd like to find the neighborhood bars) and there were several different races, an older lady having a ball, a few pagans, younger guys shooting pool, some peeps eating at tables with their kids. I was there for the first time tonight. It's a Great little dive bar. Food was reasonably priced. We only spent $30 between 3 of us.. we each getting a meal and drink. I don't understand what's with the review about racism as they where several men and women of color their. And they all seemed to be comfortable. This place is terribly and disgustingly racist. Being Caucasian they did not even follow through with regular protocol to ID us. However, the group next to us were Id'd and given bad service due to their color of skin. Comments were made by the bartenders and Larry himself asked people of color to leave the bar, regardless of their demeanor, bartenders made comments to my friend and me about "feeling sorry" for the bartender that was tending to the group next to us, followed by snarky faces made towards the group by the female bartender when turning her back to them. I'm exceedingly disappointed with the level of racism in a such a bar in the year of 2018. Larry, laugh all you want, because the racism was blatant and bartenders profiled us as conservative people, making it comfortable for them to make such racist jokes. I will not tolerate it and neither should anyone who stands for equality of all people. If not, enjoy the terrible lighting and cheap experience - in my opinion The Oar House is a better option. read more

Seafood Platters are super yummy! The best coleslaw ever!

The first time we went for breakfast they took 45 minutes to get us our food. There was only 1 or 2 other diners there. The food was sub par at best. About a year later we decided to try again. We decided to do take out this time. Their menu was pathetically limited, the woman that took the order was not helpful. We ended up having to order 2 French toast, 2 home fries, scrapple and sausage. The total was $16. My husband went to get the food and came home. There were no home fries, hubby called to complain and was Immedatly put on hold. The French toast was disgusting and the scrapple wasn't even edible. So we pretty much paid $16 for 2 links of sausage. We are NOT giving them a 3rd chance. read more

Stopped in at Larry's for dinner on the way home from a day at Cape May. Did not expect much, but was very much surprised by the high quality of the meal my wife and I had. The crab cakes with shrimp came in a deliciously flavored butter and garlic sauce, and the home made coleslaw was one of the best I've ever tasted! They have a young chef there who is really talented and if they can keep him there they may find themselves fighting off the crowds! The 4 stars is essentially only for the food. To get the 5th star they would have to have a more adventurous beer selection (only one craft beer on tap), and provide better table service (although everyone was friendly, it was a bit haphazard and slow). However, I think it is a "drinking man's bar" and may just want to stay that way - but if that is the case, and if I were that talented young chef, I may want to think about bringing my talents to a place where they could be better appreciated. read more

Larry's has THE BEST Italian subs, HANDS DOWN!! I work down the street and I got my coworkers hooked on their subs. They're always so fresh, FULL, and juicy. Not like other pizza places where they give you mostly bread and barely any meat so you're choking on a dry sandwich. On my way to get one for lunch today.
