My refrigerator stopped working, my freezer operation was degraded but was still running. I…read morecontacted ProStar due to their almost perfect ratings. That was on Sunday 26 July 2026. They responded to my text amazingly fast. I texted them early Sunday morning around 7 AM. Told me someone would be coming by 11-1 PM. I thought that was awesome. BTW not a fan of AI, but their AI call center is amazing. 1 PM (name withheld) shows up with his tool bag and walks in. He seemed to be in a hurry on the way in and on the way out. He pulls the refrigerator off the wall, does (something?) Pushes it back and tells me "my compressor is dead". He sends me an estimate for $1046.78. I place $100 cash down to get repairs booked so I now owe $946.78 on a "dead compressor" repair. He then scoots out the door after maybe 15 minutes. Knowing a compressor failure is a costly failure, it caused us quite a bit of stress. I decided, against the advice of my wife, to still give ProStar a try. She was ready to cancel repairs and buy a new costly refrigerator which I talked her out of because I know almost all brands are garbage except for Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid. Here comes Shawn on Tuesday. Super guy, diagnosed the problem correctly with pictures for me, got to the part that was actually malfunctioning (freezer fan assembly with faulty sensor causing a big block of ice over it) and got it back up running for way less than "a dead compressor" like "expert" (name withheld) said. $481 bill plus my $100 deposit. I'm giving you all 4-5 stars because of the initial poor customer service I got.

She just lost a potential customer. I'm located in Centerpoint and I'm trying to get an idea of the initial cost. She was extremely rude when I mentioned her attitude towards me. I'm calling around to get an idea of the cost because I've never been in this situation before. Her attitude was so bad that she hung up on me when I brought it up. Please do better, Michelle. I hope she has a better day. After calling back she ignored the call on the first ring. I was calling back to get in touch with either the owner or someone above her because I highly doubt that she's the owner. If she is, that's so unprofessional.

Well, the service was very responsive and came right out the Monday after my elderly Mother (& I)…read morereached out to them. Mother reported he was quickly in and out, let her know that the ice maker was repaired, and told Mom, 'No charge.' However, he failed to check the entire ice maker mechanism. Yes, the ice maker does now MAKE ice but now that I've gone to Mom's and cleared out all of the solid stuck ice pieces that were remaining in the ice maker from before, we realize that it is still not providing ice through the door mechanism. My Mother, at just shy of 90 years old, is now only 4'10" and cannot reach up to the top of the ice maker to 'fish' pieces of ice out. Repeated calls back to Adair's Appliances have only gotten me an answering machine and no call backs to set up service. So, unfortunately, I cannot recommend this local Kerrville business. Google reviews were mixed but I took a chance anyway. Sort of 'no harm, no foul' because the fellow was polite and he did reattach a small piece that needed to be reattached in order for the maker to make ice. He just wasn't tremendously thorough.

Definitely a scam. Do not even think about using this company…read more Paid $125 for a service "quote" multiple times. Agreed to the first fee. Had a problem with the multiple fees after first fee didn't result in any positive outcome or result. Management explained that each appliance was separate $125 fee...although no appliance has been fixed and 3 appliances needed and had been assessed and $125 quote had been paid. Supposedly the service fee would be applied towards repair if I went with their recommendation. Which I did agree to. But they never repaired anything... Or gave any recommendations... Or tried...to help me navigate the repairs of any of my appliances. But they charged... and never returned calls and never responded. So, I kept calling them.. and... I researched the problem on my own... and then called them and made them come fix the $11 problem after I told them how to fix & ordered the part myself and asked them to come install.... I guess they felt inadequate and were offended by my escalation to their management... Meanwhile, the company changed ownership 2 times and the service man I was working with told me he hated his job...and was being mistreated by management... and was l later fired... Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Unfortunately, after 5 month and 3 trips to my home, the microwave remained broken. On April 2. Shawn came out for the 4th time. He made two attempts to install a fuse, both of which immediately burned out. He said he needed to order another part and would call us when it arrived. After a month with no word from Shawn, I called him. He said he would call and check on the part and call back. No contact. I kept calling and he would make excuses as to where the part could be, always promising to call back but never doing it. I had tried to avoid calling American Home Shield because I didn't want to get Shawn in trouble but it's now the middle of June and still no microwave. I called AHS. They said they had been calling Shawn for weeks with no response. They said the part he ordered had been there since mid-May! (Turns out it was again the wrong part). They sent out a company from San Antonio who had it fixed in a week. Shawn obviously got tired of not making $ on us since he had to make repeat visits. The worst part was that he lied repeatedly instead of being man enough to say he wasn't coming back. Extremely uncool Shawn.
