They responded to my text amazingly fast. I texted them early Sunday morning around 7 AM. Told me someone would be coming by 11-1 PM. I thought that was awesome. BTW not a fan of AI, but their AI call center is amazing. 1 PM (name withheld) shows up with his tool bag and walks in. He seemed to be in a hurry on the way in and on the way out. He pulls the refrigerator off the wall, does (something?) Pushes it back and tells me "my compressor is dead". He sends me an estimate for $1046.78. I place $100 cash down to get repairs booked so I now owe $946.78 on a "dead compressor" repair. He then scoots out the door after maybe 15 minutes. Knowing a compressor failure is a costly failure, it caused us quite a bit of stress. I decided, against the advice of my wife, to still give ProStar a try. She was ready to cancel repairs and buy a new costly refrigerator which I talked her out of because I know almost all brands are garbage except for Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid. Here comes Shawn on Tuesday. Super guy, diagnosed the problem correctly with pictures for me, got to the part that was actually malfunctioning (freezer fan assembly with faulty sensor causing a big block of ice over it) and got it back up running for way less than "a dead compressor" like "expert" (name withheld) said. $481 bill plus my $100 deposit. I'm giving you all 4-5 stars because of the initial poor customer service I got.

He also checked the icemaker in our fridge, (don't buy an LG fridge) gave me the part number to order, and told me I could replace it myself and save some money. Due to a major feline parasitic problem, I've spent the past two weeks disinfecting and shampooing the carpets in our home to ensure there would not be a reinfection after administering meds to our cats. Upon Mr Frank's arrival this morning, I very kindly asked if he would please remove his shoes before coming inside or wear booties. I felt badly asking this because Mr Frank is an older gentleman, however our vet said parasites may enter the home via bottom of shoes. After months of dealing with cat diarrhea and finally solving the problem, I absolutely did not want to risk dealing with that ever again! After my requesting this, Mr Frank turned around and walked away from me as I was speaking to him and put his hand up as if to show he was done listening. I followed him down our walkway, apologizing for requesting this and trying to explain the ordeal we went through, but he proceeded to ignore me getting into his van and took off up the road. I stood there speechless and floored what had just happened. I understand about bad days, as many are dealing with unfortunate circumstances these days, but to put a hand up and walk away to a customer that kindly asked to not wear boots in their home left me in utter and complete shock.

He (a veteran so I was happy to support him!) responded, booked and got to my place quickly after 1st contact. He was respectful and diagnosed the issue quickly, thought it was another issue but when he came back to install and pulled the washer completely out, he realized it wasn't the issue & had the parts to put swap out some little motor which he said "This will be cheaper" and I always respect service providers who are honest. He could have easily installed the valves he originally thought the issue was and charged me for that AND told me about the other issue and fixed that and charged me more BUT he was honest and saved me some $ and fixed the issue!! I will always call him in the future!! He also helped to clean out the dryer vent as much as he could and recommended Firemen Dryer Man to clean out the rest - love that business and happy to give them my business.
