I was very impressed with this DoubleTree. The room we stayed in had 2 queen beds, a desk, and a bathroom. Additionally, there was a mini fridge, a TV, and a Keurig for coffee or tea. The room was spacious and more than comfortable enough for the 3 of us. The grounds were also very nice and there was a lovely outdoor area with a pool that I would've enjoyed had I been staying here longer than one night. I especially appreciated the fact that parking was not an additional charge and the complimentary cookies were absolutely delicious! Overall, I would definitely consider coming here again if I needed to stay in the area.

Ahhh, another night, another hotel... and why not the DoubleTree where you get a warm cookie just for checking in?!? The price was right which was nice given I made the reservation on the same day. Hitting up the Hilton app, I did see there were some great deal that day... but most of them had these crazy parking fees. So, it was nice that this location doesn't have all that extra up charging... I was a little disappointed that upon check in that I had to wait a little bit for my room. I guess I'm spoiled from having crazy early notices go through the app saying my room is ready... but I was pretty tired and just wanted to check in. I didn't have to wait long though! My room was on the second floor in the main building. The second floor is nice because you can take stairs in the lobby or the elevator. Get those steps in! My room overlooked the pool area which looked nice, with a large hot tub. As I was traveling for work and it was also pretty cold/rainy... I just peeped out at the braver or arguably more fun people who were enjoying the pool area at different times. But just a brief little looksie... nothing weird ... I swear.... Wasn't like I was telling myself that I could TOTALLY hold my breath longer under water than everyone or anything... The room itself was clean and a nice little set up. Wish it had a microwave but there was a refrigerator. Lots of counter space and a little sitting area. Not dark and everything was welcoming. The bed was comfortable and I was snoring my way through yet another night in no time! The area has a lot of places to eat around it. So you won't be disappointed. Lots of Korean food! I ended up doing an Uber Eats order because of the rain. In all this was a surprisingly good choice for under $150 a night with taxes!

Staying at DoubleTree by Hilton Buena Park is all about convenience done right. The location is literally adjacent to the 91 freeway exit, which feels like winning a small travel lottery, and it's super close to Knott's Berry Farm with Disneyland and other Southern California attractions just a short drive away. The hotel is well kept and clearly feels recently renovated, so everything looks fresh, modern, and comfortable. Every team member I interacted with was genuinely pleasant and helpful, which always sets the tone for a good stay. And yes, the warm cookie at check in absolutely still works on me and feels like the perfect welcome. Free parking this close to theme parks is a huge bonus and honestly sealed the deal for me.

Yelp Review: DoubleTree by Hilton - 3 Stars. The hotel deserves 2 stars while the staff deserves five stars. Let me explain. I had high hopes for this DoubleTree, especially after hearing so much about their famous cookies. Check-in was smooth, and we were assigned Room 232. However, the experience quickly went downhill when we noticed ants--lots of them--crawling around the room. It was past 12:30 AM, and I called the front desk four times with no answer. Frustrated, I went to the lobby and met a friendly security guard, Mr. Rodriguez, who was also unsure where the front desk staff was. After a few minutes, Humberto, the front desk employee, appeared, explaining he'd been handling another issue. Understandable, but still inconvenient. I told him about the ants, and he promptly moved us to Room 251. I was hoping for an upgrade to make up for the hassle, but it was the same standard room. Humberto did offer us complimentary breakfast, which was a nice gesture. Dragging our bags to the new room after 1:30 AM was exhausting, especially with tired kids in tow. To our dismay, Room 251 also had ants! I called Humberto again, and to his credit, he quickly arranged another room, 261. He personally checked it for ants, which took some time, but we appreciated the effort. Unfortunately, it was another standard room--no upgrade. Room 261 was decent but had its own issues: no body soap in the dispenser and a clogged sink (hair and not from us) that required a maintenance call. How can housekeeping clean a room and not refill the dispensers? As for the famous DoubleTree cookie, it was a letdown. The cookies were hard, maybe because it was so late. The next day I gave the cookies another crack and wowzers they were good this time. I am a believer. The complimentary breakfast at Ventana was a highlight. The food was solid, and the restaurant staff were warm and attentive, with no complaints there. Overall, the staff was kind and tried to help, especially Humberto and Rodriguez. But the multiple room issues, ants, and maintenance problems were too much for one stay. Would I return? Probably not. Too many hiccups unless management convinces me to come back without hiccups.

An update for my prior trip I had a great experience utilizing the shuttle to Disneyland. The times are about every two hours which for the price is somewhat expected but if you're not an early bird like me, you may have to take the later shuttle towards 11 I did come for an event night at Disney so I did have to Uber back to the hotel but the shuttle there was super smooth and I did a three day trip at this hotel and each time I had a different driver and all of the drivers were so sweet and had great advice for what to try in the area. The stuff here were super kind and I was so glad to get my complementary cookie. There is a bit of noise if you're on the second floor, but that is expected in the hallways, you can kind of hear what's going on in folks's room whether TVs are on or not there's no microwaves in the hotel room, so expect to go to the first floor in the lobby to find the microwave by the ice Machine. I do wish there was microwaves in the room as it would make it so much easier to just have some hot and ready food when I want overall I think this is a great hotel if you're going to Knotts Berry farm or Disneyland on a budget still having that shuttle take you to the park is such a lifesaver at the end of the night when you don't wanna walk a whole mile to a different hotel I definitely will be returning as the rates at this hotel are great!

I'm going to rate their catering food, not so much the hotel as I didn't stay there. I attended a party there and the food was amazingly good. I was surprised. The chicken and the salmon. Wow! I'm not a big salmon guy, but it was fresh, nit dried, and the flavor was so good. And the beef. Let's just say I came back for seconds and thirds. It was that good! Their salad was pretty good as well. Overall, the food was excellent. Don't let hotel food fool you. The chef here deserves a lot of credit! I hope my friend will host more parties here. For Thinsulin fans, there's many green light options here.

My family and I have stayed here a couple times when we visit Disneyland. There is no charge for parking and they also have a complimentary shuttle to Disneyland which is a plus. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We did have a problem on one visit when the shower stopped working after my daughter used it. Luckily they were able to move us to another room.

Going to Disney or Knott's Berry Farm? Want free parking, yes please! Free shuttle to Disneyland, double yes DoubleTree! All the reasons why I booked this hotel. I mean they greet you with a warm chocolate chip cookie! It's good & definitely got devoured. Who knew DoubleTree does this? Apparently I didn't & Ofc I got suckered in for that haha. Warning, it has nuts in it. DoubleTree Hilton in Buena Park was a good place for my son & I to relax & spend the night. I wanted us to get up early & start the day, without having to worry about LA & SD traffic getting to Disneyland. & not having to worry about parking at DLand too... I would of reserved for another night at DoubleTree after DLand, Bec for sure we were super tired. But, we both agreed that we needed to get back to our homes since we work the next afternoon. Cons: The bathroom in our room had a little stench, but it was bearable. I didn't have time to let them know. Not walking distance to the park. It's about a 15-20 min shuttle ride to DLand. We didn't utilize the pool or jacuzzi Bec there was a big group hanging out at the time. FYI's: Book thru Hilton to get your rewards. I booked thru a 3rd party (Capital One Travel) prepaid & got a discount. But, didn't get the Hilton rewards. Breakfast is not included, unless you booked w/ the breakfast option. When you check in, don't forget to get a parking pass, for each vehicle, for overnight parking... Big Parking Lot, but parking ended up being full by evening. Make a Reservation at reservation counter for DLand. There's also a phone number to text & make reservations. You have to choose pick up times for both Hotel Pick Up & Park Pick Up. Plenty of food options nearby & walking distance. There's also an outdoor mall across the street. Overall, had a good experience staying here. Great service from Kayla at the front desk. And, I can't forget to thank Dave & Ray who were our Shuttle Drivers! TYSM!!

We enjoyed our stay at Hilton Buena Park. It's walking distance to The Source which is a nice mall with tons of food options. It also has a restaurant and coffee shop of its own so you don't have to go far. There is a shuttle to Disney, Buena Park Mall, and Knotts. It's a great central location to other destinations. We felt safe and had friendly service. My only complaint is that there was a bug in the shower, ew! But other than that, a comfortable stay for a great price.

I did have some small issues around housekeeping. We were there for four nights. Unfortunately we missed the first cleaning since we didn't leave until 5pm or so. We communicated that we ran out of conditioner and hopefully they could at least do a refill on a day that we wouldn't normally get cleaning. Nothing the next day. then the following day we left around noon and I asked to make sure we would get the room serviced; I was told that it would be. Got back to the room and nothing done. I was kinda irked for a few reasons. Don't tell me it will be cleaned if it won't. If a room missed cleaning for a few days, it would be nice if they could offer an off day cleaning. We informed them that we were out of conditioner, that should have been a follow up to get resolved.

The employees are very nice, especially Carlos. We stayed in a 2 queen with a sofa bed room. The room was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave as well. I love a room with a microwave, it's not very common anymore. The beds were comfy, pillows were a little too soft but that's okay. No issues with cleanliness. Loved the complimentary breakfast. They have a waffle station, bagels, toasts, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, meat, and potatoes. They also serve coffee, water, and juice. They also have a mini mart where you can purchase things. Another plus is free parking. The only downside is what all the other reviews mentioned was the paper thin walls, but we didn't have any issues with over excessive noise. Otherwise, great hotel.

The two-queen room I got had a balcony facing the courtyard / pool area, so that was nice, but the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, even with the air running (I mentioned it to the front desk so I wouldn't get hit with a smoking charge on my account). I did appreciate the empty fridge to store leftovers and drinks and the ability to stream from YouTube on the TV, so I could have what I wanted to watch and listen to for background noise while in the room. On the other hand, there were some perks of staying here. The most convenient thing is that Porto's is across the street. Trust me when I say, do not drive over to Porto's. Take advantage that you're at the hotel across the street and walk over to save time! There's also lots of uncovered parking on both sides of the property, so you can pick where to park to be closer to get to your room, though it's an open lot, so anyone can come in and out and there's no shelter from the rain. The lobby area has been renovated and is really nice if you need the space and quietness to do some work, wait for your room to be ready, or just to hang out. Staff was pretty awesome too. We had to blow up some balloons and they allowed us the use of an empty meeting room so that we do not disturb anyone in the lobby.

READ BEFORE BOOKING…read more I rarely leave one star reviews, but as a business owner I appreciate detailed reviews before spending my money. If I owned this property, Id want to know where guests were having a poor experience. Here was mine. 1.) Mandatory Valet Parking Valet parking is required and costs $27 per night. If you werent expecting it or you're staying several days, it adds up quickly. 2.) Valet Service and Tipping No one explained how the valet process worked or what the tipping expectations were. I didnt have cash, and after picking up on that, some of the valet attendants noticeably changed their attitude. Doors stopped being opened for me, and I overheard comments about not receiving a tip as I walked away. If valet is mandatory, the hotel should explain whether tips are expected every time your car is retrieved and provide a cashless tipping option. If you're coming and going several times a day, it becomes confusing and discouraging for guest and Valets. 3.) Coffee The room only included enough coffee for about two cups. If you wanted more, you had to request additional coffee packets. Ive stayed at many Hilton properties and have never had to ask for extra in room coffee. 4.) No Microwave There was no microwave in the room. Bring back takeout or leftovers? Hope you like it cold. 5.) Trash There were no public trash cans on our floor other than a thin designer trash can by the elevators. If you accumulated trash before housekeeping arrived, it either stayed in your room or went for a walk with you. 6.) Towels The bath towels were noticeably smaller than what I've received at other Hilton properties. 7.) Shower Controls The shower has two handles but no instructions. One controls the water temperature and the other switches between the upper and lower shower heads. If youve never used this setup before, youre left guessing. Adults eventually figure it out, but I could easily see a child (like mine did) turning the wrong handle and getting an unexpected blast of hot water from the overhead shower. A couple of small labels wouldve made all the difference. 8.) Laundry There were no guest washers or dryers. The hotel offers a laundry service charged by the pound with a $25 minimum. If you're staying several days, a guest laundry room wouldve been appreciated. 9.) Internet Standard internet is complimentary for the first seven days, but my speed tests averaged around 12 Mbps. Checking email is fine. If you work remotely, attend video meetings, upload content, or run a business while traveling, expect to pay extra for faster internet. 10.) Key Cards No one explained how the key cards worked. We learned through trial and error that certain floors and areas required a physical key card while others worked with the app. One day we could move freely between floors, the next day we couldn't. We also had key cards stop working after being near a phone, requiring another trip to the front desk. 11.) Toilet Paper Yes, toilet paper deserves its own section. The room came with only two rolls. When we needed another, calling the front desk went to a voicemail box that was full. That meant walking downstairs to request toilet paper in person. This seems like one of those problems thats really easy to fix, and one guests shouldnt have to think about while staying at a Hilton. 12.) Business Center The business center has one computer with only 15 minutes of complimentary access. Ironically, it also has the microwave I wish had been in the room. 13.) Room Service The menu clearly states every order includes a mandatory 20% gratuity plus an 8.75% California sales tax, and that the server receives 100% of the gratuity. That means every $100 food order already includes an additional $28.75 before any optional tip. What confused me happened when the food arrived. Before handing me my food, I was asked to sign another receipt with an additional tip line. Maybe it was optional, maybe it wasn't, but nobody explained it. A simple explanation would've cleared up the confusion. 14.) Housekeeping Credit where it's due. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The room was clean, the linens were fresh, and the room was well maintained throughout our stay. Overall I've stayed at many Hilton properties over the years and have generally had excellent experiences. This was the first one where I left disappointed. None of these things by themselves wouldve ruined the trip. Put together, it felt like there was always one more unnecessary inconvenience waiting around the corner. Most of these aren't expensive fixes. They are communication issues, guest experience issues, or simple operational changes that would make a noticeable difference. No toilet paper after a night of trying the local food trucks was the deal breaker for me. That was a situation I never thought Id find myself in at a Hilton. I hope management sees this as constructive feedback because I think this property has the potential.

It's decent, it's not that bad and it's near walking distance to some good places - Knotts Berry is a 15 min walk but we drove there instead being like a good 1-2 min drive. Medieval Times was like a block away (Cable Guy was filmed there) but maybe next time, along with Porto's SoCal Only exclusive bakery, Target and much others, and Outback Steakhouse is next door. Anyway, the rooms are decent and so was the pool but didn't take a dip even though I did bring some swim shorts. The shower in our room where I stayed could've had some soap bar holder of some sort but didn't. The AC was working though it wasn't scorching hot that week, didn't seem to auto turn off when the temperatures are met so I just turned it off during the evening. Continental breakfast is from 7-9am and we got up early for that and love the waffle machine which you make with the provided batter, corn flakes cereal and Cheerios toast, milk coffee probiotic yogurt. I just use the waffle machines at the desired timer of 2:30 and take it out. Of course the atmosphere is pleasant and the patrons here surely the majority are staying here of course to go to the amusement park no doubt. There is a jacuzzi but it was out of service at the time. There is no gym as I walked around. Free WiFi is ok but I couldn't view our cameras back home so either use the cellular network (we have ATT and is decent speed but faster if you're outside ) or a VPN. And plentiful outlets to plug stuff, hangers, closet ironing board, the short fridge is super cold it could ice your water a bit, and decent tv with ehhh some channels but we didn't watch much. Bathroom door is a sliding door with a hook from the inside and well there isn't much privacy if you're sitting down on the toilet. All in all, it's not grand or luxury but it's decent and no complaints. Would we stay here again? I'd say an absolute yes but maybe for a 2nd time

Honestly, I think he was the assistant manager. Then the elevator doors opened. The smell hit us so hard I think my ancestors caught a whiff. Imagine a soaking wet dog that hadn't seen a bath in years, mixed with mildew and old carpet. It was so bad I was holding my breath just trying to make it to our room. Opening the room door felt like unlocking a level in a haunted house. The mattress was stained, the mattress protector was ripped, there was mold in the bathroom, and every piece of metal was rusted. I wasn't sure if I should unpack or call an exterminator. Thank goodness we were only there for one night because all four of us were packed and ready to leave by 6:00 a.m. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Save your money. Stay at a Motel 6, sleep in your car, or pitch a tent in the Disneyland parking lot. Any of those would be an upgrade. This place needs to be condemned, boarded up, and handed over to the cockroaches because they're clearly the only ones enjoying their stay.

**Spacious Suite, Thoughtful Service, and a Great Stay for Families**…read more We checked in prior to our first visit to Knott's Berry Farm and had a wonderful experience from the start. The staff were friendly and genuinely engaging. Since it was a quieter night, they upgraded us to a queen suite and even gave my two boys a small gift bag with chips, cookies, and bottled water. The boys were absolutely over the moon, which set a great tone for the trip. The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations. In addition to the standard offerings (bagels, yogurt, cereal, fruit), there were several warm options including scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, muffin-sized jalapeño cheese soufflés, and a full oatmeal bar. It felt substantial and family-friendly. The queen suite itself was a fantastic layout--essentially two full rooms with two full bathrooms. One room functions as a bedroom and the other as a living room, which made it ideal for our family. Having the extra space (and extra bathroom) made a noticeable difference in comfort and convenience. The blackout window blinds are truly light-blocking and tuck into side tracks, allowing you to make the room very dark--especially helpful when trying to get kids to sleep. On the downside, the AC unit is fairly loud, and there are several LED indicator lights (TV, charging ports, smoke detector) that can't be turned off. While that's not unusual for hotels, the blinking smoke detector light did keep one of our kids awake. Overall, we had a very positive stay at the Fairfield Inn. Between the thoughtful service, spacious suite layout, and solid breakfast, it felt like a great value for families. I anticipate we'll be back.

Unfortunately, the luggage carts were in poor condition--several had broken plastic panels that were popping out and hitting objects as they moved. When I arrived at the room, I found it extremely hot. My children were sweating, and when I approached the air‑conditioning unit, I noticed it had been taken apart and was not functioning. I immediately asked my children to reload everything onto the cart, even though the cart was barely usable, and we went back down to the front desk from the third floor. I explained the situation to the front desk associate, who stated that the issue was the fault of housekeeping and engineering for checking me into a dirty, non‑functional room. I was not concerned with assigning blame--I simply expected a sincere apology and a clean, working room. We were then moved to a room on the fifth floor, located next to the employee entrance and the elevator. Throughout our stay, we constantly heard noise from housekeeping carts, doors slamming, elevator traffic, and guests in the hallway. I understand hotels are not silent environments, but this was the first time I have ever experienced such persistent noise, to the point that it repeatedly woke my baby early in the morning and late at night. I also try not to inconvenience housekeeping, so instead of requesting full service, I handed them my trash bags and used towels and asked for replacements. On one occasion, the housekeeper said she would return with fresh towels, and I made sure she took the used ones. After being away for several hours, I returned to find no clean towels in the room. My children were unable to shower, and when I called the front desk, I was told someone would bring them. It took more than an hour before the towels arrived, and again, no apology was offered. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I genuinely do not like to complain or cause issues. However, these problems delayed us every day and affected our plans. Other family members staying at different Marriott properties had no issues and were able to enjoy their activities on schedule. The breakfast area was also too small for the number of guests. Regardless of how early we arrived, we had to wait a long time for a table. The food quality was disappointing, and the coffee was frequently empty, requiring us to find an employee to refill it. I was surprised that this location did not offer coffee and hot water throughout the day, as other Marriott hotels typically do. Additionally, the gym water dispenser was consistently empty, with no cups available. The ice machine on the fifth floor was not working, and when I went to the third floor, the machine had been removed entirely despite signage indicating its location. When I asked the front desk, I was told there was a working ice machine on every floor starting from the second. I explained that the third‑floor machine was missing and the fifth‑floor machine was not functioning, but the associate simply looked at me without further assistance. I regret not having taken photos of the food, coffee station, gym water dispenser, empty ice machines, and the damaged luggage carts. The only photo I captured was of the air‑conditioning unit. Overall, my experience was overwhelmingly negative, and far below the standard I expect from Marriott properties.
