I can still remember having the best time during college tubing down the river with friends, the proverbial cooler tied onto one of the guy's tubes. It was great way to spend a lazy, hot Saturday in the south. An added bonus was that it was free and it was rather fun waving at the people fishing on the shoreline or driving across the bridge. I think the area has opened up for more activies since my college years. Outpost is not the address on the website- read the fine print! 2. Fill out all your paperwork online before you arrive! They don't have any signal to do it there and they don't have paper copies. Plus their iPad died for us to do it there. It was a headache! 3. They didn't have enough people working which added to the time we had to wait. The staff were overwhelmed and not able to keep up with everything. There were atleast 20 people behind us in line and I hate to know how long they waited!

There was a group about to leave that we could join so it worked perfectly. We filled out the wavers and also rented a Go Pro for our helmet. After that, we got our harness from our two guides. The two guides we had were amazing and so informative and the kept us entertained the entire time. They actually made the experience fun for us. For 80 per person, you get to ride six different lines that range in height, distance, and speed. Before every ride, the guides give safety tips and the best way to enjoy the ride. For a first-time rider, I'm so glad I was in the hands of Canopy Ridge I felt safe and I was never unsure on every line. It also involves some hiking but only a few steps. We enjoyed being in Nature and the weather was perfect. If you are ever in the area of Canopy Ridge Farm is a must.

The river has changed a lot since Helene came through, but so many people have done a lot of hard work to make the area safe and usable again. That being said, the water levels are low in many places which leads to bottoming out on the sand, gravel, or rocks. Lift your bum in these areas and you'll have better luck coasting over them. Everyone had a blast. The tubes stayed inflated and safe. Lifejackets for everyone. Staff was friendly and welcoming. It rained off and on, but we were wet anyway, so it didn't matter. We had fun. There was laughter all day and many memories were made. Thank you.

They have a shorter version and a longer ride. The water temperature was perfect for a warm day. It really cooled us down. We chose the shorter one being as we had plans later in the afternoon. The prices are very reasonable and they have free transportation from the end of the river. Can't wait to come back and do it again.
