Update. For a pizza buffet that has a decent salad bar, pepperoni rolls, stromboli ( cheese steak on a recent visit) and- 2 complimentary beers per person at around $9. You read it right - complimentary. Why would I leave? The pepperoni rolls are famous and rightly so. Full of cheese and pepperoni with a balanced portion between crust and filling ($1.50 each) A great value and a definite place to have a couple of beers and some pizza. read more

Wish I could put more stars I just picked up some pepperoni rolls around 7:30 8/18/2021. And the manager lady was so kind. Even gave me an extra ranch just for being nice there was a guy ahead of me that was kind of being rude even though she was being super nice to him and she did nothing but try to laugh with him. Haven't eaten here since the start of COVID. They are under new ownership since we were last here and they are putting significantly more toppings on their pizza. A really positive improvement that will bring us back again and again. read more

I am so annoyed with this restaurant, and the thing is the pizza here is delicious... We placed an online order for pick up and showed up 30 minutes later to pick up. It's not ready and there was an issue; so we get to wait another 20 minutes. It took me having to be firm to get the girl at the register to ask the manager if they can 1- Just deliver it or 2- Cancel the order. I cannot wait around another 20 minutes with 4 kids in the car. (2 preschoolers, one disabled child who is losing it, and our middle schooler) Shall I bring them all inside your establishment and let them lose their little minds inside your restaurant? Will that help to get someone to address the problem? There are maybe 4 tables of patrons in the restaurant, what exactly is the problem? Please, get a clue and tell the girl with the blue hair at the register that leaving people with unresolved issues as you stand there is not acceptable. read more

Today no food on the buffet. No salad on the salad bar. Customers inside waiting. Kitchen help moving at a snails pace. They were getting the delivery items done. Just at the expense of the buffet. Total waste of $12. read more

Fantastic pizza and pizza rolls!!!!! For the past thirty years DD has never let me down. No have always had the stand by- pepperoni rolls and a pepperoni pie. Well, today my wife ordered and pepperoni margarita. WHAT A COMBINATION!!!! We loved it and this was the best pie we had in a long time. We also noticed they had other specialties like dill pickle pizza, street taco pizza and their thin crust. Top it off with great service! and you got great food, great service and great atmosphere!!!!! read more

I love this place! Kind of a better CiCi's. The buffet is fresh and varied in my experience. The pizza can be doughy, but if you're OK with that, they're really pretty yummy! I especially love the cookie dessert pizza, which is really unique, and the cheesesteak rolls. Lots of booth seating and they have an arcade too. read more

I'm very disappointed in their policy to end the buffet no matter what. I just showed up at 2:04 (buffet apparently ends at 2) and saw no less than 6 full pies on the buffet line and no more than 5 people in the entire restaurant. They refused to sell a buffet to me. From past experience, I know they clear the buffet by throwing away copious amounts of food. I was alone. They could have made a few more $$ and been a little more flexible with their policy in an effort to save on waste. Needless to say, I'm not going to help facilitate such wastefulness. I'm going to Paul's Pizza Shop instead even if they don't have a buffet. Shame on you DD's! read more

Okay pizza, seems to depend on the cook. I went in to order a to go pizza, I asked for a popular one without the chicken, I was told the recipe could not be changed. My pizza had to have the meat. I canceled my order and left, haven't been back since. read more

I placed an order online via Yelp & Grub Hub. I received an email confirmation of my order. This confirmation said it would be ready as early as 1:41pm. I went into the restaurant and went to the pick up area. The worker at the restaurant said that he didn't see my order. He walked around the kitchen area several times looking for it and I even showed him my confirmation. He didn't really look at it and looked completely dumb founded. He said that he didn't know what to do because his manager left. He went to the back again and never came back to check in with me. While I was standing there, I got a message from Grub Hub that my order couldn't be fulfilled and was cancelled & refunded. The right thing to do would have been to look at my confirmation and just make my pizza while I waited a little bit longer. I am not sure that the staff here was trained on customer service. It's pretty sad. I was ready for some Double Dave's as I used to eat at DD's back in my college days in Austin. read more

Really not impressed by this place and was hoping for so much more. This place was pretty dull and the restaurant itself was not very clean even though there were very few customers in the place and the young staff seems liked they had time to help with this. The salad bar was not very fresh looking, very few choices, and was quite a mess. The pizza was not very good either I felt. Very basic and I felt there was hardly any toppings on it. Just crust and sauce which wasn't any specular. All in all, I was not impressed and do not intend on returning. Sorry :-( read more

I'm an Aggie, so eating Double Daves is kind of one of those cravings, like Freebirds. I've been coming to this location for years, since it first opened. I only come during lunch time for the buffet, have never been here during dinner time so I can't speak to how things are then. The lunch crowd can be hit or miss. Sometimes they are pretty empty, sometimes you are lucky to find a free table. When there are big groups of little kids like baseball or soccer, they will wipe out the buffet quick, so you have to grab what you can when you can! But usually the buffet is pretty well stocked with an assortment of pizzas and desserts. They have a salad bar with assorted toppings and lots of dressings, but all I usually grab over there are some pickles, salad peppers, and lots of ranch dressing. Every time I come in they ask if I have any requests for the buffet, I'm happy as long as there are pepperoni rolls & Stromboli. I also like their thin-crust pizza (any flavor). I also like their dessert pizzas (usually they have 2-4 different kinds out), I'm not exactly sure what each one is but they are yummy. One is kind of a cinnamon roll pizza, another has chocolate chips all over it, sometimes they have like a cherry filled stromboli shaped, etc... When the place is pretty empty I notice they aren't too quick to clean off the tables (in fact I've entered and left and seen tables that were never bussed the whole time). But when things are busier they usually have someone going around cleaning up promptly and taking extra plates and such away. They also usually have pretty good beer deals (both draft & bottles) and selection, but since I don't drink anymore that doesn't matter much to me... *sigh* I would rate this place a solid 4 stars on the food, but give them only 3 stars on keeping the place clean & tidy. read more

I like this place a lot they always have good pizza sometimes it seems like they don't cook the whole wheat crust all the way, I mean it's still really good to me but my friend not so much . I guess you could just ask them to cook it longer it's not really a big deal . Last time I did go to this location I did see some people without hair nets without beard Nets and I saw somebody from the front dining area who was not a worker there or not dressed in DoubleDave's attire ,she was dressed in medical possibly Veterinary scrubs insted, walk to the back . Whether she's an actual worker there from a different shift nobody wants to see Veterinary or medical Personnel walked to the back of the restaurant they are ordering food from. read more

My husband was wanting Pizza Buffet so we decided to try this place even thou reviews were some good some bad. The pizza is for sure floppy! Nothing Special here. Dining area a bit dirty napkins and pcs of Crust on floor! THey pretty much have pizza,pepperoni rolls (cold Marinara) and when we went they had some Philly Cheese steak kinda calzone! WHich was good. but I didnt care for Pizza all. Looks like they put no care into making it. It seems to be place locals go. They did keep Buffet stocked well! We went on a Wednesday evening. Dinner Buffet is only Wed NIghts ! Prices okay! WE paid about $40bucks or so for our family of 5. I dont care to go back. read more

Our first time here. I thought this was good pizza although I wasn't a huge fan of the Original hand tossed crust. It was a little to doughy for me. Probably try the thin the next time. We had the meat eaters pizza. The sauce here is pretty tasty and the toppings seemed fresh. This particular pizza reminded me of a Pizza Hut meat lovers pizza. We were however the only ones in the dinning room. Service was fine, but under a load I could see how maybe some of negative service reviews came about. Overall though worth trying. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. Called the manager and (very politely) mentioned that the 13$ salad we ordered came with 4 tiny pieces of chicken (barely enough to fit on a spoon) and that I was a bit upset about that seeing how we've been ordering from here for years and never once had a problem. The manager then replied with "sorry sir there's nothing we can do" so I kindly asked if I could bring it back up there and get a new one like I had ordered in the first place and she then responded with "unfortunately we don't do that, I saw the driver make the salad himself so I can't help you sorry" and I politely asked again if I could just get my money back because I didn't pay 13$ for a bow of lettuce and a joke of protein and she then hung up on me. Absolutely disgusted with the service seeing how we just spent 40$ on our order in total and tipped our driver 10$ (to drive around the corner) and this is what we get in return. I'm sad to say we will never be ordering from Double Dave's again and our family and friends will be hearing about this experience. Hopefully they switch up management and something gets done about this, it may just be a salad, but customer service is the absolutely upmost priority and if you aren't willing to ensure your customers 100% satisfaction then you don't deserve our business or any business in general. read more

This is what I call a HH or highschool hangout. Cheap pizza that is decent enough to pass the standards of a typical highschool kid. When you eat there the fresh pizza is delicious and filling. You get a lot of bang for your buck which is probably why they are located across from a highschool. read more

Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. Pizza rolls are skimpy and they didn't give me my ranch. They refused to credit my card and redeliver my messed up order. The employees were rude and seemed outraged that I would call to have my order mistakes fixed. The pizza is over priced and not worth it. The delivery time is over an hour. read more

Oh man this place rocks dude! Such delicious pizza. My kid doesn't like it but I love it. I only eat the lunch buffet though because their pizza price in the evening is too high. You can get an entire extra pizza at Pizza Hut for the same price double daves gives you for only 1 pizza, but like they say-you get what you pay for. read more

Updated: They are back to their usual great service and food :) I've been a loyal costumer of Double Dave's Pizza for the last 9 years, so I am very sad to be writing this review. First and foremost the food is still great! But service has seriously deteriorated over the past few years. Also this place was really dirty... if you have windows from where costumers are supposed to see you make the pizza, the least you can do is keep those windows clean... for Christ sake!! Now the service... Every single time I've been to a Double Dave's, including this one, I ask for a buffalo sauce that they use to make their pizza (its kind of a mixture of ranch and buffalo sauce) and every single time they've given it to me. But this time the girl at the counter didn't even let me finish asking for a buffalo sauce when she rudely interrupted me and said "No we don't have any" and i told her that I've been getting that source for over 9 years and that was part of the reason why I liked their pizza so much. Again she didn't let me finish when she said "I'm not a manager and I have no way of charging for the sauce" I told her I had never been charged before and she just said "Sorry" My girlfriend asked to see a manager (who was at the back, looking amused while listening to what was happening, and didn't move an inch) and the girl just shrugged. We love their buffet and beer as a cheap casual dinner for our rowdy family. Pepperoni rolls with ranch are the family favorite followed by their dessert pizza options. The regular pizza is just ok. If you eat in on buffet nights, they get behind on bussing tables and can sometimes take a little while to refill the favorites on the buffet line, but their delivery is usually pretty quick. read more

I came here for the first time during lunchtime on a Sunday. Reading previous reviews from fellow yelpers I did not have much expectations. So I wasn't too disappointed. This place was filled with kids. They have a pizza menu on the wall. They also have create your own pizzas, sandwiches, strombolis, and daily specials. They also have a buffet bar/salad bar. My friend and I just decided to try out the Dave's fav pizza with meat on a medium size. We waited 30 minutes for pizza to come out. Pizza was okay. Overall experience was okay. Its a great place to come if you have kids! read more
