If you like basic chain restaurants. We came in a bit late. Our server seemed pissed off. Being we asked for a table not a booth - we were the only ones in his section. So I won't lie I have worked in a restaurants a lot whether it is managing, bartending, waiting tables, in the kitchen cooking. My dad was a chef he owned a northern Italian place back home in Ohio. The place was not very busy. It was a weeknight and we didn't even know if they would serve us because it was only like 30 minutes from closing. There was a lot of chatter amongst the staff and with we were sitting at a corner table so we were close to everything and there was a guy that was bald, it seemed like he was the manager. However, he was too busy on the phone to pay attention or address any of the maybe six or seven tables. You walked past us a few times the entire time that we were there I did not see him address a single table, including ours just to ask how everything was? If everything is good? Our drinks were empty and we couldn't see our server. He was standing meaning the bald gentlemen not even 5 feet away from our table. I even went as far as cooking my straw and making the noise like hey drinks are empty. I coughed a little bit to try to give us attention. He was so busy either playing a game or messaging on his phone to pay attention. So we both actually stopped eating because we needed our drinks refilled in order to finish eating to wash everything down. It took six minutes and yes, I timed it. Before we saw the server again and then had to kinda wave my hand and flag them down. And he came over. Was you know is everything? OK? It'll be way better when you refill our beverages that would be great. And that was it. He took the glasses refilled them bottom back and we had leftovers that we got to go, but he didn't really seem like he was having a good night and you know a good experiences at restaurants, even if they are a chain restaurant is the server is the person that makes your visit and enjoyable, along with the food and whoever's cooking. I used to work at a Carrabba's back in Ohio. And we had times like within two minutes you had a greet the table within five they should have their drink some of our ordering from the bar whatever manager or assistant manager on duty is supposed to make his presence know their presence zone and walk through the restaurant stop at the tables ask for everything is OK. So clearly, they changed the way they handle their customers, and the managers just don't give a shit. I've always liked the food at Carrabbas. But going into the actual restaurant to eat this is exactly why I used DoorDash. It was not a good experience and the food was mediocre at best. I truly think that it might just be that location because we live in the Woodlands so when we order we get it from Carrabba's in the Woodlands. Carrabba's was the first Italian restaurant I visited when I moved to Texas, and it's still a favorite with it's smart, casual, laid-back dining. I invited a friend to lunch because I knew she loved pasta. And, as I thought, she was pleased, as you can see by our plates, we went big. I tried the new item on the menu, the Filet & Shrimp Toscana! It met my expectations and more. But we are talking about Carrabba's. Of course, it's going to be delicious! My friend ordered the Shrimp and Scallops Linguine Alla Vodka. I can attest that it was good; the tomatoes and basil vodka sauce really brought out the flavors. The noodles in both of our dishes were cooked to the right temperature, too. But I want to talk about our server, Nicholas P. He was and is a true gentleman. He greeted us, handed the menu, pointed out the new items, and talked about the oldies but goodies dishes, too. He also picked out the favorites on the menu. He didnt care that I had been there a zillion times before. He treated me like this was my first time. We love Carrabbas. Their recipes are well balanced and full of flavor. Most Italian joins just slap some canned sauce on some boiled pasta, not here! They have a wood burning grill and all the sauces are amazing AND it's not overpriced for the quality of food they provide. I don't understand why people leave rude reviews when there's an issue with the order. It's as simple as having the restaurant fix a mistake. Don't get free food and still drag them with a bad review. Smdh. Bottom line, the food is fantastic. Flavorful. Decent portions. Consistent. My favorite is the Chicken Rosa Maria. It's grilled stuffed with cheese and prosciutto a topped with lemon butter. Chefs kiss! Caesar salad is 5 stars, chicken soup is amazing. Seriously. In a sentence, this was my 2nd WORST dinning experience and my food was DISGUSTING"!!!! I've visited this location in the past and the food was consistently acceptable-good at best. Last nights visit was a total bust! I ordered an entree and sub'd the fettuccine for angel hair pasta (which I've done this at least 55x's and never had a problem until last night. I also traded the beef fillet steak for chicken and was told the price would be the same regardless of beef being twice as expensive as chicken. But, I didn't argue a point because, I didn't have the mental energy to do so. The salads came out right away however, it took the entree's awhile. When the entrees finally arrived, my entree was missing and I was told it was still being prepared because "Angel hair pasta takes longer to cook"! Yes, you read the last sentence correctly! I'm no chef, however, the waitress stating the angel hair pasta takes longer to cook didn't sound very convincing. I'm guessing they prepared the dish with the wrong pasta and instead of admitting the mistake, they chose to redo it quickly. Because, when it arrive, the presentation and taste screamed rushed! The angel hair pasta was a firm gummy texture. It was obviously undercooked and overly salty and the shrimp and chicken was mixed into the pasta vs on top of the pasta as advertised. I sent it back after one bite... and exactly 7 mins later, the same pasta in a Togo container was presented to me as if it were a newly prepared entree. So glad I decided to look at and taste the pasta before leaving! The waitress and manager were both "nasty nice" and didn't appear to appreciate that I had working brains cells on yesterday evening. Carrarabba's - What a joke! I was there yesterday with friends for lunch. I ordered a meatball sandwich. So out came a huge slab of bread, cut in half, with a total of 2 (TWO) meatballs on it. TWO! One meatball on each half, which was cut in half. REALLY??! I asked the waitress.... What the heck? She was able to score me two more meatballs from the kitchen. This is poor value, in my opinion. Three stars because I'm being generous on rating that the food saved this review. Hostess about had a melt down asking us how many in our party. My menu was filthy, there was food stuck on it. Floors are dirty with crumbs and trash. Service was barely ok. all the staff seemed very unhappy being there and definitely showed while they handed us our food and taking our order. I recently revisited Carrabba's after a previous dining experience that didn't meet our expectations. It was a pleasant surprise to find that not only did we return, but we also had the same server, which turned out to be a delightful coincidence. Our entire dining experience was impeccable from start to finish. One of the standout aspects was the flawless flow of the evening. At no point did we find ourselves waiting for a drink refill or for a fresh basket of bread. The timing of everything was impeccable. As soon as we placed our order, our salads were promptly served, and when we finished those, our entrees arrived promptly as well. What truly stood out was the quality of the food. Each meal was cooked to perfection. It's evident that under this new management, this Carrabba's location is operating like a well-oiled machine. Having been residents of this area for over seven years, we can confidently say that this was by far the best dining experience we've had at Carrabba's. The level of service, attention to detail, and the overall dining experience have improved significantly. We hope they continue on this path, as it's clearly working. Kudos to the team for turning our previous experience around and making our visit memorable. We'll certainly be returning soon. I would recommend the filet with spicy Sicilian butter. Always a good cut of meat and I go with fresh veggies always. You really can't be the price! This time I had the Blood Orange Margarita but usually fancy the Prickly Pear Margarita. Both are great, not overly sugary and balanced well. Honestly I usually come here for the bread and one of the two margaritas. My family usually goes with pasta dishes and fancies the mezzaluna or when they have it the pumpkin or butternut squash ravioli. A must try if they have it! read more

4 years ago i stopped going to carrabba's because their service and food were terrible. I returned tonight and things have not changed. We ordered take out and we were really looking forward to the bruschetta and two meals, and of course, they left the bruschetta out of the order. When we picked up the order, the person who brought it out just basically dropped it and ran. Apparently there is no oversight--there were missing items, we were charged, and had to call to question the omission. We were told "we ran out of bread". We should have been informed and NOT charged!! The dinners were mediocre at best. Not heavily covered in dressing. Chicken soup: my ultimate favorite and has yet to let me down. If it's one thing they do right, it's the chicken soup. Amazing Calamari: crispness is still good. Love the seasoning. I asked the server if they can make it less salty and he said he could ask. Still a tiny bit too salty but way better than last visit. My throat isn't on fire from the salt burning this time. I feel the marinara has a pinch too much salt. They're both good when eaten separately but when you combine, then it's too much. We sat down and ordered our meals and received the plates and seasoning but no bread for quite a while. After waiting, we had to contact a different waiter to request bread. It came out soft and hot at least. The fudge brownie dessert was good. They appear to be short on staff like everyone else. We waited a while to get our bill too. I've been a regular at Carrabbas for years. Sadly, this will no longer be on our list. The restaurant was empty when we visited. There was only one other couple in the dining room at the time. The staff was very unprofessional they gathered in two large groups by the host station and the prep station and carried on very loud conversations. The kitchen group was right by our table and included 12 or so staff feet from our table, we could hear their entire conversation, and it lasted the length of our stay. The food was subpar for the price point. I ordered the chicken Bryan $23 and received maybe a 5oz portion of chicken with very small sad acoment of under cooked and under seasoned broccoli. My companion ordered the chicken Marssala. She requested pasta instead of Broccoli and was told their was $4 upcharge for pasta? Usually, pasta is included. Her dish was $27 with the upcharge. She only had a small drizzle of Marssala sauce and 3 mushrooms on her plate. She wondered allowed if the cooks were told to count them or if they only came 3 to a bag now. The price point for this restaurant is high-end italian. However, the food tasted like a low-end pre-packaged chain slop. I'm sure corporate saved a few bucks cutting corners. I asked for a few minutes and that was a mistake, because i didn't see the server for 10 minutes. Then they sat a crying toddler directly behind us. Another great meal from Carrabba's! I've started ordering pickup / delivery and it's convenient after work or on a lazy Saturday of rest!!! I usually have the classics trio and it never disappoints. Also, the lobster ravioli is one of my favorites. The bread with the dipping oil is our favorite! The meatball appetizer is a must try!!! Today I also enjoyed the cannoli cake and it was amazing as always. The Coke here is hitting hard!!! I love it. We're coming in to dine in soon! Still, we waited a couple more minutes, and we're finally greeted not by a server, but by A GIANT RAT!!!! My wife shrieked, yet still no one came as we got up. Obviously, we weren't staying. Of course there was no manager in sight, as there never seems to be at this location anymore. We stopped to notify the host on the way out, but he was far too involved with watching the Basketball game to notice us. Then it occurred to me, that if we are seeing a rat as a guest, then surely the staff and management must know. They must just not care.
