The name Hilton usually means excellence in ambience as well each hotel guest with the best customer service. The Doubletree in Denver Cherry Creek failed. I arrived after a very long day of travel. Many flight delays due to extreme weather conditions. I called the Hotel many times to make sure my reservation was not cancelled. When I arrived 1:00-1:30 AM via Uber. The driver took my luggage into the hotel lobby. When I checked in I was told no one was available to take my luggage to my room. No carts were available either. I told the front desk if I couldn't get help to my room I would cancel reservations and go to another hotel. Finally the Security Guard assisted me to my room. The room itself was weird no other way to describe it. The hotel had a complete renovation during Covid. Lobby excellently done. Lobby bar not so wonderful. Bar stools were wobbly. It took three different stools to find one to sit in. Dinner was average not up to Hilton standards. The room was clean but weird. Seems like it should have had two beds. The empty space is usually set up as a sitting room. Not the case. I never got comfortable so I checked out 2 days early. Will try another hotel next time in Denver. read more

Really didn't love this location. The staff were unkind, public spaces were dirty, parking was limited (and paid), and the A/C in our room was broken. Even when we had someone come up and fix it, it still wouldn't cool. Thankfully, we only needed to stay here for one evening. read more

The bed and pillows were the pits. I expected more from a Doubletree. The pillows were down or a down-type but went completely flat in the middle when your head went down. The mattress was hard and terrible. After paying a high rate on the room, we didn't get the continental breakfast bc our Hilton honors points weren't high enough to qualify for one. They also didn't qualify for a bottle of water in our room. They didn't give us a cookie that we have gotten at other Doubletree hotels. The parking garage was a joke. Small spaces and apparently you have to register to park there...we didn't know until we checked out and found a notice on our windshield. The toilet paper in the room was single ply, equal to porta-potty toilet paper at best. The good thing was the room was clean and the TV worked. read more

Poor receptionist skills and very limited parking. Don't count on finding a spot if you arrive after dinner. The cookies were burnt. The hotel rooms are extremely small, and the bathroom layout was awful. The countertop had almost no space, and our shower leaked into the rest of the bathroom. During the day anyone off the streets has access to the parking garage-elevator and hallways. As you do not require a key card to access at that time. Which is very sketchy. So many homeless people in this area. We booked a 3-night stay but left after the first night. Definitely not kid-friendly. We did receive a refund for the two remaining nights, and the staff offered me a drink from the market for our shower inconvenience, which I declined. read more

Once again a very nice stay at a Hilton property! Anne at the desk was one of the most delightful employees I have had the pleasure of interacting with in a long time. Maria at the bar was equally pleasant and efficient! The gal serving breakfast was very nice and took good care of us! Traveling can be hectic enough , your hotel stay doesn't have to be! I really debated on whether to eat this hotel, a three or a four because it is solidly a 3.5! The pros - the bed was super comfortable, as a diamond member we were informed early we were given an upgrade to a one bedroom suite, so the room was much larger, and when we arrived, we were able to check in early as our room was already ready. The living room area was really comfortable and the fact that the room had two bathrooms was really nice as well as having two larger screen televisions. The cons - both of the bathrooms are in dire need of updating. Everything was functional, but the grout is very stained and really gross. Actually, just both bathrooms are super old and need to be torn out and re-done I have no idea how it happened, but it looks like someone spilled a cup of coffee or some thing all over the curtains in the living room as they have a nasty stain down the center that is very obvious so you see it when any sun shines through the room. The 2 cup coffee maker, functioned, but those traditionally are super messy little Cuisinart 2 cups that it's really easy to overflow the cups. Lastly, this is not the hotels, fault, but the $15 per day per person as a diamond member benefit when there is no way to buy breakfast for less than $15 is super frustrating. Your choices were to order from the menu or pay for a pretty chintzy Buffay at $19.99 a person. to be fair, the two egg breakfast was $13.50 cup of coffee was four dollars and the breakfast was a large portion. The potatoes had zero seasoning so there was a lot of space taken up on a plate with something I didn't even eat. The parking situation is also a bit of a nightmare that I have no idea how a building owner would even repair. If you look at the pictures, I posted of the garage, it's all structural and holding the building up, but it is incredibly difficult to park down there and I can't imagine if the hotel is sold out how you would park down there. There's no way to get into some of the spots at all unless you have an incredibly small car I will say that all of the staff were super friendly, the pool area looked very nice although we did not have time to enjoy it, the bar area also looked nice, but we did not partake that evening as we had dinner with friends. Please note that there is a Trader Joe's about a mile from this hotel, where you can stock up on some good wine! read more

What a well deserving 2 day mini work vacay lol... I'm just glad the kiddos did t want to come this time. So The Hubby and I get to have some sorts free time. We were greeted upon check in. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I love the peacefulness that I always feel when we are here. I don't like the fact at at these prices no breakfast included . I know your thinking why didn't you go somewhere that does??? It's simple my job is in partnership with them and other hotels but my job this weekend is in this area down the street. Any who o appreciate the reasonable prices at the restaurant inside the hotel. The don't have sweet tea that sucked for me!!!! But guess what??? Chick-fil-A is right across the street... I was staying over due to a meeting I was having the following morning in Cherry Creek. If you know the area, Cherry Creek is the prime area in the Denver metro and so I expected that any hotel in that sub market would be more on the classy side. Also, my experience with Doubletree hotels has been generally pretty good. This hotel is definitely showing its wear and age end is a tad rundown and tired. Furniture in lobby area seems out of date. And while I should've been tipped off by the good value for the room rate. I was disappointed in the room itself, which seemed very tired, and not very clean. There are mustangs in many locations and in the shower there is a lot of mold or mildew in the tile grout. I also found hairs that certainly were not mine in the shower as I was getting out. The staff seemed nice and were helpful but I did overhear a complaint or two and an incident about broken car glass. I probably would not come back, but it is a decent value and you probably get what you pay for given. This is a high rent district. read more

Very convenient location for cherry Creek mall/shopping. Older updated building. Room 721 NO A/C had to change rooms-Anna front desk very, very pleasant, kind and helpful. Can open window few inches for fresh air. Mountain View rooms have pleasant view. Next to very noisy car wash during day. Beautiful pool and patio area. Parking $15 day in garage area- Very, very tight spots for larger vehicles. Do not have to worry about valet. Bed and pillows comfortable and thank heavens still have a "Real" fitted sheet- and 2 real glass drinking glasses -somethimes it is the little things.... Food-Tex-Mex tavern type. We arrived to a rude front desk agent who was more concerned with her lunch than checking us in. Put in a room that was in the old outdated building and the room was tiny with zero amenities. Couch was tiny and stained. Dirty sock under the sink. Front desk was argumentative and flat out rude. We left. Reached out to that assistant general manager Sonia, and she again was unhelpful and uncaring. We were supposed to get our points put back into our Hilton honors account and she said she would do that but she did not and then I had left multiple messages that went on returned. This place is a joke. Do not stay here. The pool looked outdated and dirty. There's nothing nice about this Hotel including the location, which is really horrible. You're in the middle of tons of traffic tons of lights and nowhere to walk don't stay here. read more

This place is listed as a 4-star hotel on Priceline.com and I thought I'd try them out for a mini-staycation. Arrived on a Thursday afternoon around 4:45p and had a horrible check-in experience. The hotel policy for check-in is 4p, so I'd understand if I showed up earlier than a room may not be available. However, when I arrived to check-in, the reception desk seemed to be turning guests away like no one had booked reservations. The rep I had a rude, unapologetic tone with me and gave no reasoning as to why my room was not ready. Instead, he just turned me away and told me to check back at a later time. He gave me no indication of how long the wait may be or any offers to compensate for the inconvenience. If I hadn't already prepaid for the room in-full, I would have just told them that I'm taking my business elsewhere. We were able to get a room key by 6p and luckily made it to our dinner reservations that evening. I avoided all staff members for the entire duration of our stay and enjoyed ourselves in my hometown. Needless to say this isn't how a 4-star hotel should treat guests and I will not be returning to this hotel. (Oh, and to add insult to injury, there was no warm chocolate chip cookie anywhere in sight.) read more

A good business type hotel that gets you the rest you need with some conveniences you expect from this lodging category. The room size is better than average, and the space is fine. I found the dark grey colors a little down beat and too muted for me. A splash or even a sprinkling of bright colors could change the mood from drab to a bit of perk. The location is convenient. A Target store right across the street to fill up on drinks and snacks. There is a fridge in the room. Applause to Marcus at the front desk for going above and beyond to help me enjoy my two night stay and search for the bottle of Cabernet wine. Thanks Marcus! read more

Not the best, but certainly not the worst of hotels in the Hilton family. Checkin was pretty quick and easy. You do need a keycard to access the hotel from the garage and elevators, and electronic key cards seem hit or miss, so be sure to stop at the desk and get the plastic card. Recommend parking in front first before going to the garage. Our room was clean overall, but felt dated. Bathroom was large and there was plenty of space in the room. Housekeeping is on request only. The allowance for breakfast for Diamond members, $15 a day is insufficient to get a breakfast in the restaurant, and we found that we needed to pay about $10-$12 more to cover the difference. Boo Hilton. The food was decent but we found it to be very slow. Expect about 18-30 minutes for your food to arrive. Way too slow for breakfast. As others have mentioned, the parking garage seems designed to damage your car. There are concrete support beams everywhere. We would circle and try to find spots where you would not open the door and hit a beam. Most ridiculous parking garage I have ever used. AND, they charge a fee per night to use it. This hotel is a step up from the absolutely horrible Hilton Garden Inn across the street. We need to visit this area and want to be loyal to Hilton as Diamond members, but I just don't know. Overall the stay was OK, but this is more of a $49 a night hotel. Really starting to question my loyalty to the Hilton brand with the past few visits. read more

The staff working the front desk have been extremely rude during the entirety of our stay. The rooms are nice but they won't tell you you're also additionally getting charged for using the hotel's parking lot once you go check out. We got two rooms but only have 1 car and we got charged parking for both rooms regardless on the number of cars you have you'll have to pay for the number of rooms. The front desk employee also refused to give us change so I don't recommend cash. They have A LOT of hidden fees they won't tell you about until you go to check out. Hilton hotels are typically pretty great so this was highly disappointing. This hotel is terrible. read more

Our stay was flawless! Pierre was exceptional and was very calming for me during check in. He addressed a couple requests with empathy and ease. The room was very clean and very comfortable; we really liked the double bathroom counter space (by the sink and again in in the shower area). We also had breakfast at the on site restaurant which was excellent. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. We also were in search of ice when we left the restaurant and happened to run into the executive chef. We asked where we could find ice and he very generously offered to bring some to us himself! Parking was easy and our room was accessible from the same elevator from parking, super convenient. No security concerns as the parking elevator can only reach the lobby without a guest room key. We had no trouble finding a spot. The location is very close to downtown, the Zoo and Natural History Museum, medical facilities on Colorado, DU, and of course Cherry Creek shopping. We will definitely have the DoubleTree at the top of our list for a future Denver stay! read more

I've stayed at many Doubletree Hotels and Hilton properties in the past. The location for my business and access in/out of hotel were great. Guests were generally nice overall. The hotel smelled like a dispensary on my floor. Rooms somewhat outdated. But the biggest problem was with the front desk staff. I had problems at check-in and check-out. Staff dismissive and rude and appeared to give random answers to questions without knowing the answer just to end the conversation so the issue would go away. When I questioned further then it was known they had no idea more than did they want to research or fix the issue. I observed this not with my service but others in line as well. Customer service was the worst I've ever experienced at a Hilton property. I will never stay at this property again. Too many other choices. My money can be better spent elsewhere. read more

If you get that set your alarm and sit in awe as you watch a 20 minute light show of the breathtaking mountains turn the purple shade and it is nothing but breathtaking!! The note is very nice. Next door to a gas station, car wash so it was perfect to get off all the salt on my car. There is also a Target and Dazbog coffee next door/across the street. Easy on and out. The room was extremely large and quite. There was a sitting area. They had the most comfortable desk chair that I wish that I could have put in my suitcase and carried home with me Friendly check in staff (I forgot I could have just cheeked in with my Hilton app) She was in training (I think Vicky) but she was super nice We were happy to be her guinea pigs. This hotel is also close to the Cherry Creek mall, Whole Foods and great places to eat. I would definitely recommend and stay here again if I needed a hotel Super soft sheets on the bed. Alright, well I was very impressed with the bartenders and cleaning ladies. But 3rd night of our stay and Monique (front desk) was BEYOND rude. I get hating your job but at least put up a front and welcome guest as best as you can. I purchased a water and she brushed me off and charged my room. Literally the worst customer service EVER. Please do yourself a favor and hire someone with a warmer personality. As someone who works in customer service you'll do yourself a favor in hiring someone who will greet customers better. Where do I begin; our water pressure win the room was a drizzle. I asked for someone to fix it and they didn't fix anything. Even though it was brought up several times to the hotel stThis second night I requested the room to be cleaned and nothing happened, we are on our fifth night and finally got the room cleaned. As we were in bed, we could here the room next doors tv loud and clear as if it was in our own room which made us very uncomfortable, I think that they could here is in our room. The cleanliness was okay, definitely could be way better!! The shower door isn't even sealed correctly so the water was spilling out all over the floor. when they "restocked" the coffee station in the room, they didn't even refill the creamer and sugar. it was in the fifties. maintenance guy came in and immediately said one tower had their chiller out so air conditioning did not work, but asking to get it down from 77 degrees was impossible so they moved us to a different room in the second tower. then, as we were dealing with that idea at one pm, they tell us the reservation had already ended, even though our online reservation proof showed us staying that night. (luckily we printed out receipt) they tried to tell us we were wrong in our booking and after some gripe, we get cleared for what we booked and then we get offered a free breakfast. manager was not on site so gal had to scramble on her phone to the manager to make it right. manager was super reluctant to believe we had booked it for two nights. girl claimed to not bother her with the inconvenience because she had just gotten there, but had to remind her that at breakfast she was just as unhelpful. only one elevator working made you wait too long, and when it would open, house keeping was using it to tow their huge rolling laundry baskets and supply carts, had to reassure them that another person can squeeze in...we were on ninth floor. another guest and i giggled at the craziness of how this place was operating on our way down. just plan ahead for all the inconveniences you'll get from this place so you're not as annoyed. pack a fan. windows can open slightly so that was a saving grace to the stagnant heated air from the uncontrollable thermostats. read more

So I travel a lot. Lots of Hiltons in the mix. This one very uneven. Staff nice. Really helpful front desk folks. Great burger last night at the bar. Bartender a pro. But housekeeping unresponsive (we eventually gave up) and AC unit in room insanely loud. My son's room next door the same. And garage, as other have suggested, is like a concrete obstacle course. Scary in a rental car. So sure, fine place to stay. But not the best Hilton has to offer. UPDATE: Went downstairs for a beer. I was told to wait till 4. Came back at 4:15 and was told bar closed for private party. Not getting better. FINAL UPDATE: Odd charge on Amex from hotel last night overnight. Also the breakfast Burrito came in a soupy plate not sure what was going on there and if you asked for coffee be prepared to be charge 3.95. Even as a gold member the 15 credit a day you still end up paying for something not even worth the extra credit given. Room was dusty and hotel was extremely dated. Very loud, could not sleep. Location is near a strip club and weed shop with many homeless around. Do not recommend. Unfortunately this hotel is not as advertised in the photos. The pool was drained. We were not notified of this change in amenities. There were blood spots on the carpet. We were put in a room over the car wash which was very loud. Customer service is lacking. Desk staff was dismissive and not helpful. My wife and I travel to Denver to see our son twice a year. We decided to try a different hotel this time, in September 2022, which seemed like a possible upgrade from the Hilton Garden Inn and Marriott Fairfield Inn down the street. We were wrong. Title this review, "Blame the customer first." Check in was good. We were not told that you had to request housekeeping service to get it. After a couple of days, we asked if their Covid policies were still in effect for housekeeping. "You were told at check in that you had to request it." No, we weren't, although I did finally find a small sticker on a bathroom window that explained that to us. They gave us a crappy room with a view of a asphalt roof and an air conditioner. "You requested that room when you asked for your digital key," they said, offering to move us. Umm, no, again. I simply authorized them to pick my room. The "digital key" (the ability to use your mobile phone as key) request came later. The parking lot in the basement was a disaster. We were driving a BMW X5. Over half the parking lots featured large poles that made it impossible to fit our vehicle into a space. The beds were fine, the air conditioner worked, and the room was well appointed (but no microwave). And we didn't hear road noise from busy Colorado Avenue, so there's that. We will be returning to our usual hotel for future visits. Not this one. read more

Rude to the core, to paying guests! Had audacity to argue with guests! Unheard of in hospitality. Do better Doubletree, people are paying to feel taken care of and at ease away from home. This is only our first night, reconsidering taking our money elsewhere. Giving one star specifically for bar! She clearly made some very biased assumptions about my family and I. I am looking forward to hearing from someone about our experience, on our very FIRST night onsite. Nice remodel done last couple of years. Facility is nice and well maintained. Scarlett at front desk recognized my Diamond status and provided much appreciated upgrade. Room was nice and clean. Furniture was in excellent condition. Breakfast was good and what impressed me was the service from all the staff members. Used my Diamond food credit for the majority of the cost. All the staff members we encountered were sincere and provided excellent service. 20+ year Diamond member and I would recommend this location and return without hesitation. Thank you! read more

Recently stayed here and was disappointed in so many ways. I've stayed before without issues. Not sure why things have gone downhill. Starting with the check in experience...clearly the young woman did not want to be there. Travelers should be greeted warmly and professionally. This was not done. It was almost like we were bothering her. Then while the temp out was nice in 60s the heat was blasting in the lobby, hallway, and room. It was so uncomfortably hot in the room. Temp was set at 77 when we arrived. There were NO clean bath towels in the room!!! I called to ask for some and the young woman did not answer. So I went down to ask. She had one customer she was helping and another in line. I asked for a manager at the bar. She went to look and said there wasn't one. I told her tried calling but no one answered. I wanted to take a shower but didn't have clean towels. She offered to help. Asked my room # and about less than 10 min later housekeeping brought some clean towels. These should've been in the room in the first place. For breakfast the next morning three different people (hostess and servers) came to take our drink order. I've stayed in all levels of hotels. Usually holiday inn has a clean and simple approach but our room here felt dated and a bit gross when you began to inspect the bathroom area. (Degraded caulk Tired tile and bath pieces.) The beds were comfy and the air was cold which are two huge pluses. The air didn't seem to regulate well though. It fluctuated from chill (blowing right on the side of the bed) to hot. They also had a mini fridge which is another plus. Kids had free breakfast on Sunday which we loved. The buffet was top notch- freshly replenished and offered eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal and French toast among other continental items. I would not stay here again though- it's time for a room refresh. read more

Rooms are pretty standard doubletree fare, though it used to be nice when doubletree gave out cookies in the room the day you checked in. They still advertise them, but they must be in the restaurant or something because we haven't seen any in the 2 days we've been here. The pool is decently sized, but it's right next to the exit for a car wash, and the noise from the car dryer is pretty loud, making less than idyllic. The parking situation is awful. The spacing and layout is worse than a Trader Joe's, and once we finally found a spot, our key didn't work on the door to get in, so we had to walk around the block (past the car wash) in the rain. I won't come back here with a car again. The toiletries smell nice, and the beds are comfortable, but for the price, I'd expect more. read more

I spent all day traveling from airport to airport and I'd like to shower. Showed up to a lady at the front desk saying there isn't anything she can do for us and laughed at us and said it happens. Thought being out of town we would have room to park our truck ... ah no! Well I went inside and mentioned I've PrePaid for a room for a few days and didn't realize u have mostly underground parking. She said oh we have extra parking up on top around the corner. I mentioned I don't think our Semi will FIT around that corner to go up. Lol. She said OH that kind of truck!! Yep! She walked outside with me and was so nice. She moved their courtesy van elsewhere and let us park in that spot for Busses. Without even flinching ! Wow now that is customer service by golly!! We all had a bit of a chuckle after that. So check in went great and we had our service animal with us no problem either. My dog is VERY well behaved. We checked in came back downstairs and hit happy hr. Ya hoo no work for a few days and a beer tasted so good we both had two! We also ate in the hotel cause it was easier. It was quite good. They have daily specials on the board and a small menu. Then we went upstairs showered and hit the sack boy. Next day we had breakfast in the hotel at their breakfast place. It was pretty good but was the same food every day. Biscuits n gravy( weird gravy), eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, milk, yogurts, cereals , sweet rolls and breadS, pulse pancakes. So a lot of choices. So we switched it up. The staff was excellent here and treated us so nice for being a bit different with a Semi haha. We hit the weather good too. Finally got a car and scooted around that way. Then fri rolled around and we had to go back to work, wah wah wah... time to go and they let us have late ck out to boot! Hubby had to work early that morning and I went downstairs to finish a load of laundry. We got out eight at 1:00. Thanx bunches y'all. We may see u again.. never know ! read more
