THE ROOMS ARE A JOKE ......very old unkept dirty with dust and spiderwebs in the corners, the bedding is a whole nightmare ....holes in sheets no batting left in what once was a comforter. Everything in the room including the shower curtain bed skirts were super wrinkled like a paper sack!!!. Carpet had multiple large stains. No hot water in tub plus scary stains in tub and around toilet. Wallpaper coming loose and furniture was very beat up with varnish missing. I did check for bed bugs!!!! not in my room but in a room on the same floor!!!!! I arrived very late to the hotel and was exhausted but I will never stay there again. Hilton Double Tree please do better !!!!! AND THE VISITORS CENTER IN LAFAYETTE RECOMMENDED AND DEFENDED THE HOTEL !!!!!!! I was offended that the women just disregarded my complaint with photo proof no less!!!!!

A 3-Star hotel shouldn't get a 3 Star rating on Yelp. Reserved an executive room with King Size bed. The bathroom ... was covered with personal hairs. Easy to see being jet black. The toilet, the floor and the tub had hair in it. Unacceptable. No room inspection by the staff after cleaning. Also, it's as if the staff constantly tours around and sprays fragrances. Everywhere. The elevator, the hall, the lobby. Always this strong incense like smell. Unpleasant really. Reason for not rating below 3 stars, the rest of the establishment is wonderful. The Sola Restaurant is great. The staff was very friendly. The location is great for quick access to lots things in Lafayette we needed to get to. ... and they hand out fresh warm cookies in the lobby anytime you ask. They're amazing.

Security Guards personal 1ton dually was parked in no parking tow-away area all evening and night!

Older and ran down. The worst DoubleTree that I have ever seen. It has not been maintained or updated at all. Cleanliness is subpar. Especially for a DoubleTree. The coffee in lobby was terrible and undrinkable for me. The Security guard's personal 1 ton dually was parked in the drive tow-away area all evening and night. Drive was packed and very congested as we were checking in. The Security Guard instructed me, that I needed to be fast, if I parked behind him to run a few items up to my room. At the time I parked, his truck and my Suburban were the only vehicles on the drive! He was very rude and unprofessional.

The hotel was OK-I was not offered the warm cookie when I checked in, or given any water bottles as usually a Diamond members get upon arrival-there are also no water bottles in the room. The bathroom was extremely small and the ceiling around the tub shower area had multiple peeling spots that had left droppings in the tub. The threshold was very dirty as you can see in the picture like I guess they just skip over it when cleaning. The refrigerator in the room did not work . The pool is a nice size and looks like it's well kept unfortunately the three days I was here it rained and flooded . There is no on-site laundry, which is disappointing -there is a restaurant and bar. I did not take advantage of either of those there is however a great coffee shop outside of the hotel within a three minute walk. The hotel is approximately 2 miles from the airport and probably 3 miles from the nicer area of Lafayette. Sometimes I wonder if hotels care more about the decor on their walls than the cleanliness of their rooms. They really should take advantage of what the customer says on these reviews. I don't care what is hanging on the walls. I do care if my bathroom is clean.

Double Tree by Hilton in Lafayette needs a major over haul. Doubletree is one of my favorites of the Hilton chain so I was shocked to see how old this location looks. The lobby was bright and beautiful but once we got to the room it was a different story. The room was old and drabby kinda like a dungeon. The room has old & dark furnishings. The bathroom is very tiny. You have to close the door in order to get to the shower. Only one person can fit in the bathroom at a time. There were mysterious stains on the floor and the windows were in need of thorough cleaning. The housekeeping & restaurant staff was very friendly and nice. They all went above and beyond. However, the guy at the front desk upon our check in was clueless. He didn't give us a run down of where our room was located or the amenities available during our stay.

From the shuttle drivers to the front desk staff everyone was kind and most friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. No refrigerator or microwave but overall a nice experience. Restaurant attached with a bar. Didn't go but nice to have close by.

I've stayed here a few times, it's always clean and comfortable. Has a nice pool and is walking distance to a handful of restaurants.

If you're looking for a solid spot in the city to stay, that seems to be close to everything you would need, it's here. It's not the fanciest hotel in the world - as many said, it could use some updating - but it's everything one would really need in a hotel for a couple of nights. If you're looking for luxury, you wouldn't be looking here anyways. The customer service is great, and the warm cookie upon arrival was a nice added touch. The rooms are pretty spacious and comfortable with a nice river view if you're on that side of the hotel. It's quaint but definitely solid, and it seemed to be near most of what one would need when visiting for business (work and food). I'm not sure that the thermostat in the rooms (or at least mine) really was accurate. It seemed like it might be controlled centrally, which I wasn't the big fan of, but I adjusted. The doors and walls don't seem to be particularly thick, as you can hear a good bit of noise, but it's not awful that it's so interruptive. You can also find some pretty decent deals for this location online that are a steal. I'm not sure what other hotels in the area offer or how they are priced, but I'd stay here again for sure.

The refrigerator remained a constant 55 degrees and all my food went bad. The owner was useless and "attempted" to fix the fridge twice. When I claimed it was still broken he ghosted me. Do not stay here, it's a shit hole. It looks cool in the pics but the furniture is shabby and nothing works right.

Spacious and stylish lofts in the heart of downtown Lafayette! I travel a lot for work (roughly…read more80% of the time) and when I found out I would be in Lafayette for six weeks, I immediately looked for short-term rental options. I know, I hate giving up hotel points but I really wanted something more of a residential feel, and with a kitchen and some room. I also love Lafayette and wanted a centrally located place since I wasn't just going to chill in my room and watch tv all night. Buchannan lofts met all my requirements...and then some! My loft had a full kitchen with a regular sized fridge and stove. The room was spacious with two beds. One bed was upstairs and a little more private, while the other was on the main flood and was only separated from the kitchen/living room by a curtain. There was a dining table, love seat, chair with foot stool, and desk. Even with all that furnature, the loft did not feel cramped. Exposed brick and exposed duct work / lighting added to that cool loft feel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and there is a dish washer. Some minor negatives are the fact that you have to walk a few flights of stairs to get to the lofts and there is no elevator. The room was clean, but did have some wear and tear. Nothing major but it was here and there, and give the impression that the loft wasn't as clean as it actually was. I also didn't like the towels in the bathroom or the shower. I'll probably bring my own towels next time and I would have had a stand up shower and not a shower with a tub. The tub isn't a soaking tub so was basically useless. The price seems to be a little on the high side for the area (but I am cheap so I could be wrong). At that price point I would like better towels, bed linens and to walk in and feel like the place is immaculate. While the location is great and close to some great restaurants downtown, during the week downtown is pretty dead....but that is not the lofts fault. My negatives are really nit-picking and overall the lofts are a great option for all types of travelers. I would definitely stay again if it is in the budget. Check them out when staying in Lafayette...you really will be glad you did!

Stayed here late November 2018 for a one night stay while en route to Texas. I usually stay within…read morethe block of hotels close to the interstate, yet gave the Chateau a try due to sheer intrigue. Upon check in, I was surprised by the lack of foot traffic. I felt as if I was the only one within the hotel due to how quiet it was. I found out later by the GM in the morning that this aspect, (as well as previous negative reviews on social media sites) was due to the HVAC malfunctioning during the summer heat. No A/C during a Louisiana summer= not a good time. Certainly an unfortunate circumstance, to say the least. Now, back to my stay. The hotel itself feels to be newly renovated, and with French-themed decor that echoed Louisiana heritage. The room was spacious enough for me to not feel cramped or confined- certainly a true room suite that didn't skimp on space. I was in close proximity to the fitness center and outdoor pool area, the former that I can only describe as being pretty basic with a treadmill + a few free weights. And yes, there were no issues with the HVAC ventilation within my room (heating this time). Breakfast was served by the GM. He gave me a choice of shrimp & grits, waffles, cereal, and etc. Since this was a slow time of week due to being just after Thanksgiving, I felt that the GM serving guests breakfast was unusual due to possible staffing constraints. However, this aspect of customer service was well appreciated due to understanding the hotel + local area of Lafayette a little better. My only negative aspect of the hotel may be in its location. Its really a double-edged sword- a benefit that a good proportion of restaurants & shopping is within 1-3 miles away, yet a slight disadvantage in the morning due to heavy traffic that makes a left turn extremely difficult. It you can avoid the morning traffic (like anywhere else), you'll be fine. If not, its best advised to be patient. Overall, I would stay at this property again. Given the level of comfort and hospitality that I was provided, I would say that this property is underrated, and waiting to he discovered by more patrons that may share a similar perspective.
