Room smelled of marijuana and the bed was dirty. Upon informing the front desk I was advised I could check out tomorrow... do not recommend. We relocated to the residence inn which was a major upgrade with same price point. Received no refund or apology.

This Tru by Hilton is the cutest chain hotel ever. It gives boutique hotel vibes! The colors are bright and the rooms are clean! Check-in was fast and easy. I love the market and sitting area they have in the lobby. They also have free coffee in the lobby all day long. Our room was clean and I love that there was no carpet in the rooms. The king room was smaller than it looks on the pics but the bathroom was very spacious. My favorite was the most amazing hand soap and lotion that was in the bathrooms. I honestly wish I could buy it in stores. They also have a decent continental breakfast spread. I guess they probably don't have as much as normal due to Covid-19. I will try the Tru by Hilton again.

Clean rooms, convenient location, pleasant staff. Breakfast included, varies a bit daily: toast, bagels, yogurt, eggs, bacon, hot oatmeal and fresh pancakes, variety of toppings. Good coffee! And my favorite- a hydration station with ice. Recommend. Built c. 2017

This location is grossly neglected as it pertains to housekeeping and Maintenance. The floors were visibly FILTHY with stains all along the floor trim, dead bugs in corners, and urine around the toilet area! Doors, walls, and carpet all dirty! For years Housekeeping must only have washed towels and sheets and nothing else! There is no way this is Lafayette's newest Hilton Property?! (As advertised). This place was so disgusting that even after traveling 8 hours, (after work), checking in late 10 pm ish, I stayed up until 5 am locating a different facility to take my family for the remainder of my stay! My 73 year old grandmother was wiping and scrubbing everything /a norm for her but this required another level of cleaning and this trip was supposed to allow her time to relax!! This location needs a deep cleaning ASAP!

Been here plenty of times traveling for work, but this time maybe my last. Floors in room are filthy. Noticed immediately upon entering the room.

What a wonderful spot in a perfect location! I visited on a quick weekend retreat and was very pleased. Check-in was easy and my room was clean, comfortable and cozy. It is a bit of a trendy hotel, so the front desk might catch you off guard. Parking is complimentary. Breakfast is free and phenomenal. So many options. And as a bonus there is a mini coffee and tea bar available for guests downstairs 24/7. The lobby is fun with TVs and games and the staff members are friendly and engaging. It was in proximity of several great restaurants, the movie theater and shops. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely stay again.

    Water station

This place was great. Highlights you may not find on the website: 1. Water filling station by the ice. Crucial for sports trips. I am not drinking out of the sink. I said what I said. 2. The bathroom sink soap is liquid and smells really good. No little small bars! 3. The front desk had a person working every time we went by. This person always had a nice personality and really great ability to have a conversation comfortably with other humans, an art becoming increasingly lost. 4. The sweet little breakfast lady. Although breakfast had closed, there were still some things out when we finally made it. And she made sure the boys had food. Pictures represent what was out 30 minutes after it was closed. 5. At least one special needs employee, which is a huge plus in my book. 6. For the other short people, the shower head is adjustable, so you don't have to drown to adjust the water or plant your face on the back shower wall to breathe. 7. Shower water pressure is very good - I can cup my hands to wash my face without having to pick which small stream to use. If you know, you know. 8. The pancake station. I made a video, but it won't let me add. So you put your plate down and wave your hand in front, and it makes a pancake and places it on your plate. Apparently my first swipes worked as well, so I ended up making four pancakes with that. Oops! Guess I have to eat those now. Also saw someone make a pancake while holding a baby (where was this 15 years ago?!?) Clean, comfortable, and easy. This place is a winner. (Should have 8 pictures but only seeing 2...)

The refrigerator remained a constant 55 degrees and all my food went bad. The owner was useless and "attempted" to fix the fridge twice. When I claimed it was still broken he ghosted me. Do not stay here, it's a shit hole. It looks cool in the pics but the furniture is shabby and nothing works right.

Spacious and stylish lofts in the heart of downtown Lafayette! I travel a lot for work (roughly…read more80% of the time) and when I found out I would be in Lafayette for six weeks, I immediately looked for short-term rental options. I know, I hate giving up hotel points but I really wanted something more of a residential feel, and with a kitchen and some room. I also love Lafayette and wanted a centrally located place since I wasn't just going to chill in my room and watch tv all night. Buchannan lofts met all my requirements...and then some! My loft had a full kitchen with a regular sized fridge and stove. The room was spacious with two beds. One bed was upstairs and a little more private, while the other was on the main flood and was only separated from the kitchen/living room by a curtain. There was a dining table, love seat, chair with foot stool, and desk. Even with all that furnature, the loft did not feel cramped. Exposed brick and exposed duct work / lighting added to that cool loft feel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and there is a dish washer. Some minor negatives are the fact that you have to walk a few flights of stairs to get to the lofts and there is no elevator. The room was clean, but did have some wear and tear. Nothing major but it was here and there, and give the impression that the loft wasn't as clean as it actually was. I also didn't like the towels in the bathroom or the shower. I'll probably bring my own towels next time and I would have had a stand up shower and not a shower with a tub. The tub isn't a soaking tub so was basically useless. The price seems to be a little on the high side for the area (but I am cheap so I could be wrong). At that price point I would like better towels, bed linens and to walk in and feel like the place is immaculate. While the location is great and close to some great restaurants downtown, during the week downtown is pretty dead....but that is not the lofts fault. My negatives are really nit-picking and overall the lofts are a great option for all types of travelers. I would definitely stay again if it is in the budget. Check them out when staying in Lafayette...you really will be glad you did!

Stayed here late November 2018 for a one night stay while en route to Texas. I usually stay within…read morethe block of hotels close to the interstate, yet gave the Chateau a try due to sheer intrigue. Upon check in, I was surprised by the lack of foot traffic. I felt as if I was the only one within the hotel due to how quiet it was. I found out later by the GM in the morning that this aspect, (as well as previous negative reviews on social media sites) was due to the HVAC malfunctioning during the summer heat. No A/C during a Louisiana summer= not a good time. Certainly an unfortunate circumstance, to say the least. Now, back to my stay. The hotel itself feels to be newly renovated, and with French-themed decor that echoed Louisiana heritage. The room was spacious enough for me to not feel cramped or confined- certainly a true room suite that didn't skimp on space. I was in close proximity to the fitness center and outdoor pool area, the former that I can only describe as being pretty basic with a treadmill + a few free weights. And yes, there were no issues with the HVAC ventilation within my room (heating this time). Breakfast was served by the GM. He gave me a choice of shrimp & grits, waffles, cereal, and etc. Since this was a slow time of week due to being just after Thanksgiving, I felt that the GM serving guests breakfast was unusual due to possible staffing constraints. However, this aspect of customer service was well appreciated due to understanding the hotel + local area of Lafayette a little better. My only negative aspect of the hotel may be in its location. Its really a double-edged sword- a benefit that a good proportion of restaurants & shopping is within 1-3 miles away, yet a slight disadvantage in the morning due to heavy traffic that makes a left turn extremely difficult. It you can avoid the morning traffic (like anywhere else), you'll be fine. If not, its best advised to be patient. Overall, I would stay at this property again. Given the level of comfort and hospitality that I was provided, I would say that this property is underrated, and waiting to he discovered by more patrons that may share a similar perspective.
