The place is a nice hotel and the room is pretty nice but the only complaint I have is the bathroom. The floors were dirty and the shower was dirty and has mold in it. And the toilet was sooo low to the ground. Other than that everything was great! read more

This hotel was awesome! The decor is modern and lovely and the rooms were clean and large. I even took a picture of the bathroom to use for my own bathroom redesign! We brought our doggy for an additional free and she gave it two paws up as well. We were in town for a funeral and the front desk helped us pass out our welcome bags to our family members who also got rooms. The staff, especially Natasha, took care of our entire family's every need and we all had a wonderful time. Oh - The breakfast is awesome as well and changed each day! read more

I stayed at the Doubletree in Laurel this past June. I discovered bedbugs in my room. The hotel staff was incompetent n Not very helpful. I left all of my belongings in the room to not bring anything home. I have discussed the matter with general manager Melissa Golub who was very dismissive n rude n to this day the incident has not been resolved. I will continue to pursue this matter but at this point Doubletree has left a bad impression on me n my travel companions who stayed at this hotel every June for the jazz fest. read more

Many nice things about this hotel, however sleep quality is foremost and this failed. The air conditioner was one of the loudest ever. The loud humming noise was ridiculous. I struggled between turning it off for peace and quiet or suffering from a very stuffy and warm room. Either way it was a loosing battle. I recommend not staying in room 517...unless they are ALL loud. This is an older hotel, formerly Holiday inn, and actually beautifully renovated. But the air conditioner unit is absolutely horrible. I could hardly hear the TV without blasting the sound. Nothing is in walking distance...just a large UPS facility. There is a seafood restaurant attached to the hotel. It was cute and recently renovated. They did a nice job. Unfortunately, the menu was not large and they were out of my two choices. They Advertised a happy hour on the web page but didn't actually have a happy hour and seemed dumb founded when I asked about it at the restaurant. Said they possibly may add one. So why is it on their web page in big letters?? I felt taken. The martinis were very small. Food was fine and it was convenient. The hotel check in guy was a sweet, wanting to please guy. He set the tone for a warm and friendly stay. The morning check out gal was quite the opposite. Had a small request with my hotel bill (a request I have done at every other Hilton property without issue) and she would not accommodate. Being a diamond member, spending 60 percent of my work week in hotels for many many years, I can be picky, but I also stay at the well managed hotels over and over...this is one I will put towards the very bottom of my list. read more

Left an item in the room, went back to pick up my item and it was not in lost and found. Double check before leaving your room, I would hate for you to end up like me. I guess their workers just steal stuff instead of taking it to lost and found. All in all, I have to do better, have to remember that all people aren't good people. This was my first time staying at a Doubletree and it was a great experience! Very clean. Nice modern decor. The beds were comfortable and no dust or smells in the room. And this hotel knows how to treat its HHonors members. There are 2 HHonors floors. I will always use Hilton now and my HHonors membership just became more valuable to me. Good job Doubletree! Will recommend to everyone and will definitely stay again!! Also was good that there was a soccer tournament going on but we didn't hear any kids or feel like it was crowded. read more

This place was fantastic from the moment we arrived because the great location from the highway to the check-in to the service of the staff and the restaurant staff. We were originally supposed to stay on a Hilton honors floor but after we checked in our room smelled of marijuana so we went down to the front desk and they quickly moved us to another room on a different floor and accommodated us in every way in addition to giving us free breakfast coupons for the morning even though they were not responsible the hotel was extremely clean and so were the public areas including the bathrooms all of the staff was extremely helpful even with our bags the parking lot was clean as well in this hotel has a restaurant attached to it so after a long drive it was nice to just walk from our room to go there and eat I highly recommend staying here they only have four suites book quickly if you need a big room. The sink was in the room instead of the bathroom which was strange but not a big deal read more

Better than a motel but barely, the rooms have a tight layout and many aspects are very beat up and not well kept. My bathroom door is in shambles and can barely close due to its destroyed condition. The shower is small but the real problem is the sloppy masonry. The tiles are so awfully laid and there is a portion of the shower where water collects and sits. Although the rooms are certainly not a bragging point of this establishment, possibly the most disappointing aspect is the management. Specifically Bartolo. He blatantly treated several of our teammates with disrespect even after very reasonable and respectful requests. Not only does this hotel need a aesthetic makeover, but it would also benefit from a personnel change. read more

We are traveling across country right now and after we finished a 12 hr drive, our experience here was not good. Checking in we were informed that our cat is not allowed but since we've already paid for the room there's an extra $25 fee. No where on the website does it say cats not allowed so that was frustrating but not a big deal. Later that night I went to take my dog out and almost tripped off a step outside a door because it comes out of nowhere and if your hands are full or attention is elsewhere you can easily fall. The next morning sure enough I forgot about it and with a kid in one hand and a dog in the other I fell and cut my foot and hurt my hip and our kid fell. I went and told the front desk and they said they will get maintenance on it to get it painted right away. Then I look at our bank and see that we were double charged a pet fee. It honestly wouldn't shock me if the front desk employee did that on purpose because after my husband clarified "so it'll only be the $50 for the dog and the $25 for the cat nothing else" the employee responded "well I can charge more if you want" and after we said no, he responded "great so we can move on then" with a lot of attitude. Should be getting refunded but we will see if it actually happens. We also found trash in our room next to the bed so wasn't the cleanest. Overall not impressed and a bit annoyed. We picked a double tree to be able to relax in comfort after finishing our drive and so far nothing but annoyance. read more

I am sooooo angry. Had late check in. Got to my room to settle down only to be assigned a room right above the conference room where a church service was going on. Was told that it would be over by 10. Lol. It's 9:48, and I can tell by the shouting that service is no where near over. We stayed here at the doubletree and had a good time. Check in was fast. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff could not do eough for you. TRACY especially she was very helpful, always had a smile on her face, a compliment to the staff. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water. We ate next door at EJs. A fantastic place. Incredible food. Extremely nice staff. We got the crabcakes which were unbelievable. Large fresh delicious and no fillers all crab! Highly recommended. Tonight the hotel has a party on the first floor booked until 1:00am. I'm on the 3rd floor and our room is reverberating because the music is so loud. The hotel staff is extremely rude including the banquet manager Bartolo. The hotel refuses to have the music turned down. I would recommend that future visitors to Laurel find a different hotel to book at... unless you're having the party and then this place is probably for you because you can crank the music as loud as you want for as long as you want. read more

We had a fairly large group, due to a family funeral. We were there for 4 nights and the lady who was at the front desk, most of the time, was the nicest person. Accommodating and helpful in every way. I think her name was Natasha. She might have been the manager. If not, she should be promoted. She was kind to her staff and the customers. She showed respect for every person and immediately took care of any questions and needs that we had. The kitchen staff was fast and accommodating, as well. Even though the breakfast is still being done in a "pick up" only style, they did a great job getting them cooked and brought out in a timely fashion. What a pleasant stay for us, especially when we were grieving and far from home. Once we are out of this Pandemic mode, I would return to this hotel next time I am in the area. Since they handled things so well in this crisis, I know they will be great when things go back the way they were before! read more

A little disappointing. Came with family for National history Day competition. I travel a lot and alway stay in Hilton hotels. I used my hard earned point for three nights and paid for two. No one even acknowledged I was Hilton honors, I was not give a room on the Hilton honors floor. I guess the whole hotel was full of people above silver. Our first room the AC was broken so they moved us to a different room. Traveling with my kids so I just wanted a room with a fridge but no.
