Stayed here for 3 nights on a work trip. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants. However, there was an issue with my room reservation (they were out of luxury rooms that I initially booked), and because I am a silver member, I was assured I would have an excellent room. What they forgot to mention was that they initially put me in a wheelchair-accessible room, which had beds that were low to the ground. I requested to change rooms, if possible. The staff seemed disorganized and unaware of my request. Despite this, my stay was satisfactory, including daily room cleaning. Be aware that there's a $23 plus tax daily self-parking fee. read more

The DoubleTree by Hilton Tucson Downtown Convention Center hotel is in a great location, right next door to the convention center and not far from downtown Tucson bars and restaurants. It is a fairly new hotel and has an outdoor parking lot right in front. The great thing about the parking is it is close to the front entrance of the hotel. The bad thing is it's $20/day for self-parking and $27 for valet (we chose self-parking). If you are a Hilton Diamond member, there are a few spots in the only shaded part of the parking lot. We got a great summer rate when we stayed at the DoubleTree, so I didn't mind the parking fee that much. The lobby is beautiful and there are two bars and a restaurant. When you check in (and at other times upon request), you can get the wonderful warm Doubletree cookie. The cookie is 90% of the reason I prefer Doubletree hotels over some of the other Hilton brands. Our room was on the 6th floor and had a nice view. Some of the more upgraded rooms had private balconies. We did not, but we wouldn't have used it anyway. It was way too hot in July! The toiletries were Crabtree & Evelyn and I was disappointed that they didn't offer mini toiletries that you could take home, but instead had the kind that were bolted to the wall in the shower. The rooms had a nice mini fridge with two cold waters inside for myself and my guest. The room was very clean. There was no maid service except "upon request." We didn't request the maid service since we were only there for a weekend. The pool was on the 2nd floor and was clean and refreshing. Most of the pool is in the bright sun, however, so make sure to wear sunscreen during the day. There are restrooms in the pool area as well as an outdoor shower. The bar by the pool was not open when we were there. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return to the DoubleTree by Hilton Tucson Downtown Convention Center on future trips to the Old Pueblo. read more

Even though we only stayed one night at the Double Tree by Hilton I have to say it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is located south of Congress Street in Tucson and a quick drive from the Interstate 10, and easy to get to. Doesn't include a free breakfast but in our case time was an issue so we did have their all you can eat breakfast which was pricey but we did have a good breakfast. Even so the hotel accommodation were more than I could imagine. Very clean environment and even the rooms were nice and clean when we arrived at our room. For us since we are older an automatic night light uniquely attached to both the bathroom and hallway were a plus. The view from our room was spectacular since we could view the beautiful sunset and it was beautiful. Something us southwest people take for granted. I must say in the very short we were here it is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. I realize hotel stays can be expensive but if you get a chance to stay here, do so. read more

Had a short stay in Tuscan for the night. This is a nice updated DoubleTree! I only had time to video/ take photos of my room due to my late arrival and early morning departure. I asked the front desk what time their gym closed and he noticed i only had 30 minutes until 10pm (when the gym closes). So he upgraded me to a room with a gym inside of it, yes you read that right....A GYM INSIDE THE ROOM!! At first i thought he was just messing with me but no, when i walked into my room, i was shocked!! There it was... a gym!! read more

From the moment I stepped out of the Lyft from the airport coming from NY, I was greeted by a nicest valet and I really was hoping for an early check in at 1pm. The front desk agent was super kind and he had a room ready so my stay already felt more of the 5 star feeling. These rooms are newer styled, really beautiful and I also had a nice view. We were here for work so we ended up eating at the onsite restaurant and bars a few times, the food was delicious and actually found it better at the bar. I really want to recognize the entire valet team, the agent who checked me in and Victoria for being a great bartender and server. I didn't get any service to my room but I never forget housekeeping for what they do as well. This is really one of the best DoubleTree properties I've visited across the country and probably in my favorite top 10 US hotels, I'll absolutely be back if I ever come back to Tucson! read more

This is one of my all time favorite DoubleTree locations. I've stayed at a couple hotels in Tucson, but I'm going to always book here going forward unless they're booked out. The staff is very friendly. The valet, reception, housekeeping - everyone is so friendly here. As you walk towards the entrance, you see this huge green wall thing behind the bar that looks really cool. The fitness center is very clean and they have free weights, treadmills, and a cable machine. The rooms are gorgeous and very clean. They're one of the locations with the great TV UI that greets you when you come in. My room also had a balcony and chairs on it which I spent a lot of time on. The bar across the street had live music, so I got to enjoy the music while eating takeout. They also have nice wall mounted AC which was smooth and consistent. It isn't like other hotels with those ones near the window where you hear the super loud compressor crank. I'll be back! read more

Overall, good stay this week in Tucson. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food at El Mezquite was very good. Ate in the restaurant, at the bar, and one breakfast via room service. This has to be the shining light at Doubletree. The pool was small but perfect for us, as we had it to ourselves several times this week. PS: almost forgot: 3 sided clock was especially nice. It was the little things that kept this from a 5 star review. We had the top floor 2 room suite which was nice. Only 1 master trash can with a small one in the guest bath. As minute an issue as it is, a trash can in the bar area would be nice. The TV kept pixelating and the volume has to be turned to 60+ to hear. The biggest thing that made us grumpy was the lack of coffee. Although one of the lobby bars does dual service as a Starbucks stand from 6:00 AM to noon, after that fughettaboutit. No coffee available from there or restaurant. Had dinner first night here and was told sorry, coffee only available in the AM. Really? read more

I recommend staying at this hotel whenever you visit Tucson. The building is near the Tucson Convention Center. The hotel has a secure parking area, two bars, a restaurant, second floor pool and great customer service. I especially enjoyed engaging with Eddie, the Front Desk Manager. He was very friendly, helpful and shared his knowledge of the Tucson area and provide warm cookies upon check-in. The rooms have a modern decor. Everything was clean and comfortable. The room's amenities included eco-friendly thermostat, smart tv, Bluetooth connection to hotel appliances and sensor lighting. I have to say that the AC unit sounded like a vehicle taking off from a traffic light too fast. It woke me up multiple times in the middle of the night and the thermostat adjusted on its own creating a stuffy, warm night for sleeping. The environment was not great for getting a good night sleep. Other than that, I plan to stay at this DoubleTree again. read more

First time staying here & it didn't disappoint @ all Check in was super fast & that's always a good thing. I had a room on the 5th floor looking west and it even had a balcony . The beds were super plush and the tv was a monster 65-75in . The shower was awesome and had good pressure as well as hot hot water . I left @ 5:30 am so I didn't get the breakfast but outside of that this was an awesome stay & when I'm back in town u can rest assured that I'll be staying here AAA+++ read more

Stayed here last year, and planning on staying here again next month. Our first time was great. We loved seeing the new hotel, restaurant and bars and believe me we tried probably every drink on the menu. We had a Double Queen room, however the shower was not the tub/shower combo I now see for that room on Hilton.com or even Hotels.com. It was the upgraded all glass shower. So it's possible those pics are outdated. The rest of the room was awesome however. There was even a small well-lit fridge in the room for leftovers or drinks. Every night of our stay includes a stop at the main bar, which is quite beautiful. Our first night we tried some tacos from the Pueblo Lounge along with chips & salsa. Along with the cocktails, everything tasted great. This is a top-notch, high quality bar and hotel, and I love that it's downtown along with other restaurants and bars in the area that are close enough to walk to. We did try room service on one day for breakfast and that didn't go so well. Things don't look as pretty in a box than they do on a plate. The sausage gravy & biscuits was quite dry and dense. There is a Cuisinart coffee maker in the room, but if you want a much better coffee, there's a whole coffee/bar station on the ground floor inside near the entrance to the hotel. I found most bartenders and staff were friendly and courteous. (there was one bartender who made a lot of rude comments about some guests - who ended up walking out without paying their tab. That was fun.). Overall love this place and can't wait to be back. read more

You expect most hotels to charge around $50 for incidentals as you check in. Some hotels are 70 and $80. This hotel charges you $125. Per night!! Wanna stay the weekend and check out Monday? I desperately want to give this place five stars as we attend the Tucson gem shows every year and this is so convenient as it's attached to the convention center and is a brand new hotel. However, the place smells like literal poop. It's especially pungent in the hallways, but the horrid odor leaks into the room under the door. I've shoved a towel to try and block it so I can get a decent nights sleep, but there's always a lingering stench. It's the worst!! I've seen some rooms that have air fresheners, obviously to try and mask the stank. Unfortunately my room did not have one. I mentioned this to the manager in 2022 and he just acted like he couldn't smell anything and was shocked by my inquiry. There are limited rooms with balconies, which also sucks. And if you have a room facing the convention center you'll have a crap view of the roof and parking garage. I also had a tough time making changes to my reservation. The front desk would make updates and say they were sending an email and it would never arrive. It was a bit stressful relying on the word of someone without a confirmation in writing. Eddie did try to help emailing to a few addresses. But the email never came through. The positives are that it's beautiful with gem artwork, a lovely lobby and two bars. There's an outdoor patio with lots of seating and fire pits. They serve coffee at the bar and it's excellent, Bella is a bomb barrista! The restaurant attached to the hotel is amazing! My compliments to the chef for the delicious southwestern food. To wrap it up, if you don't mind smelling poo for $300 a night, this is the place for you! read more

We really enjoyed staying two nights over Christmas at this new Doubletree. Since it was the holidays, there were no convention center activities going on and it was very quiet. We upgraded to a balcony room which had a view to the east and south, nice for watching sunrises and sunsets. The room was very large and spacious which may be partially due to it also being an accessible room. I liked that there was a huge desk area nearly the entire width of the room, plus a window seat and more drawers and cabinets along two walls, so plenty of space for all of your things. The bathroom was large and modern and everything was very clean. The room had a mini fridge which was a fridge only, no freezer section for ice packs. There was a packet-based coffee maker, not a drip type or Keurig, so you will need to use the hotel supplied coffee packets for this machine, or check out the Starbucks downstairs. The bed had down or partial down pillows, perfect for snuggling your head in. My side of the bed was very comfortable, however my husbands side had a dip in it. Despite the sign that housekeeping is only available every 5 days or by request, someone did knock on our door on our first morning, which was nice as we wanted more coffee packets and creamers. There is a beautiful pool on a lower rooftop, which we didn't try due to the chillier than normal December, but it looks lovely for a swim or sunset viewing. There is also an excellent restaurant across the street, The Coronet and Coronet Market, highly recommended for farm to table style Brunch or a fancy dinner. read more

Not sure where to begin with this property...maybe the used bar of soap with hair on it left in our bathroom? Or maybe the valet attendant that just stood at his post and stared at us as we drove around the small and very full parking lot without saying a word? Maybe the front desk attendant that screwed up our reservation of 3 rooms and got defensive instead of apologizing when we questioned the errors? This is a property I would not recommend and don't plan to return to on future trips to Tucson. read more

We stayed here again a year to the day from our last visit for a couple nights and the service was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful from the front desk to the bartender at the pool, to the wait staff in the fantastic restaurant. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. There are lots of common areas where you can also sit and relax if you want to get out of your room, including a great balcony on the second floor by the elevators where we spent some time enjoying the cooler temps after the rain and a refreshing cocktail from the pool bar on that floor. Be sure to check out the breakfast buffet with the made to order omelets and delicious fresh baked pastries before you head out for the day. Their restaurant also makes a delicious cheeseburger. read more

I stayed at this hotel on April 5 th. I went to site double tree convention center Tucson. The price came up for a single occupancy at $159 . I entered my info and there was no price breakdown. After entering my info and hit enter it went to $244 per night. I asked the manager at check in for breakdown. He said he could not see it in their record but I did have a reservation. I checked out next day.., still no price break down. Showed a balance of 0$. Be aware parking $23 a night plus $ 125 retainer. I won't stay there again. Mostly because the managers claimed ignorance and I had no idea where this reservation came from. They were not helpful at all read more

Smoking charge for non smokers non smokers beware staying with my wife both never smoked a day in our life. had a 500 dollar charge added to my room for smoking that never happened. they say they have monitors in room and the manger kept saying they trust their technology and refused to remove the charge so implied I was lying!! and he wonders why I was so offended!! Note I never wrote a review before this. I have filed complaints with Hilton honors. I guess hearing go "I understand your frustration but I trust our technology" so implied I am a liar was frustrating to me. also of note - they pre charge 125 per day for amenities - sure they pre charge and then magically non smokers get charged for smoking. my trust is not in their claims when we never smoked in our lives, stay away from the hotel - they are a stain on Hilton iny opinion! read more

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Centrally located in downtown Tucson. They charge for overnight parking in their lot and they do offer breakfast at an additional charge per person. There is a restaurant and bar connected to the hotel. Unfortunately I didn't get to use any of the extra amenities here since we were only here just to sleep for the night and we arrived late. But it was a good location and beds were pretty comfortable! They also offered us some "welcome cookies" that were soo yummy ! I thought it was a nice additional touch. Will definitely be staying here again if I'm ever in the area. read more

We had a lovely stay here. The location was great to walk to many restaurants and downtown. It is in a great location. There is a fee for parking of $16 per night but it was well worth it for the location. The room was very clean and had a great view of the mountains and city skyline. The convention center is right next door so very handy if you need to go there. The breakfast was average it isn't included. Service was excellent. The only thing that left a bad taste was charging $4 each for a cup of coffee with breakfast ! Just didn't sit right with us when most Hilton brands offer free coffee in the lobby. Note to self drink coffee in your room before breakfast! Such a tiny thing so easily sorted! Highly recommend this hotel it is in a nice part of town and super convenient for downtown Tucson. read more

Came into Tucson for a surprise party and this property was a literal 4min walk so as far as location it was perfect. The rooms were amazing, they provided all the requests I put in (not near an elevator, high floor, extra pillows, non connecting room) and even gave us a corner spot with a large balcony. Loved that for us, it was beautiful. Property was clean and beds were soft and comfy and LOVED the extra icy cold room. Negatives were parking is $20, we would've parked ourselves on the street if we knew ahead of time, nobody mentioned it (valet guys or front desk) breakfast not included which always makes me meh and the bars closed early. Other than that, we'd totally stay here again. First timers for a Hilton brand, we've always been Marriotts so we were pleasantly surprised with the comforts. read more

This must be my worst Hilton experience ever. Granted initially everything seemed great, the front desk staff were super friendly and nice and gave us fairly decent chocolate chip cookies. As I was checking in there was a flight crew checking in so figured if they're staying here the rooms should be fine. Boy, the rooms weren't so much. Sure the bed was comfortable and the room smelled of cleaner/bleach so we knew the room was clean, but the place was just run down. The bathroom was tiny and had obvious water damage, the wallpaper on the wall of the living room was pealing. We also had planed on using the pullout bed for a friend, unfortunately the bed was also mostly broken. We also noticed the two beds seem smaller than expected and smaller than we've ever used at home. I went back and checked the reservation and recently rechecked to see what beds were available; they have double beds only! The beds are double/full sized and not even queen sized if you get the two bed rooms. I hadn't noticed that when booking the room since I've not had a room have full sized beds instead of queens, not even at a super 8/motel 6 I've booked last minute when on road trips. This hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. I will definitely never be returning to this property. I wish I had looked at the Yelp reviews and not just the reviews I saw on the Hilton app. read more

Completely updated room. Very clean. USB outlets next to the bed!! Yay! Nice facility all in all. Coming at night you cannot find the entrance. The surrounding area is dark and the parking lot is cordoned off. When I finally found the entrance I couldn't just drive up and check in. I had to go through a monitored gate and be given a ticket. Surprise! While checking in, I discovered that parking is $20. There is no free breakfast, but, big plus - there is a Starbucks in the lobby. Four stars because the outside signage is poor. No indication on the back of the building how to get to check-in. read more

Lobby is very nice. Front desk personnel were smiling! Very professional. Quick check in and out. Very convenient being next to the convention center /Tucson Arena and all. Rooms are very very nice. Some people that really stood out were Alex at the bar who was a true professional. Didn't break a sweat (always smiling) when she was very busy, as we were there for the PBR event next door and the bar was rocking! Caleb who (smiled) was our server for dinner was EXCELLENT! Restaurant was very good. Carlos the executive chef was grilling all kinds of protein on the grill, and it was excellent! Carlos also SMILED even though he was really busy. Last but not least was Chris who is the property's assistant manager. I had a bit of an issue and he absolutely went beyond to explain it and fix it, and yes he smiled consistently! I mention that they all smiled, which tells you they're there to make you smile, and make your stay a great one. Honestly how often do you see people smiling at places of business? It took many stays and $$$$ to get to diamond level with Hilton Honors, so you expect good service in exchange for your loyalty. The Doubletree downtown Tucson is a winner when it comes to this! read more

The room was nice and had a big patio which we weren't expecting:) However, the highlight of the place had to be Albert at the front desk. He was super accommodating and helpful in giving advice on where to go and what to do. He always had a smile on his face and was nothing but respectful. Friendly, accommodating front desk staff eased arrival. Gorgeous, well-stocked bar, tended by knowledgeable, affable staff, broad spirit inventory, and cocktail-appropriate ice was a treasure. ATL-TUS time zone difference helped steer us toward an on-premises meal, which did not disappoint. Many authentic Mexican/Tucson dishes available on the menu, with plenty of other standard offerings. The chef's Mahi Mahi soup was stunning. Breakfast offerings range from cut fruit, avocado toast and standard bacon and eggs, all the way through region-appropriate Huevos Rancheros, and into the best Eggs Benedict you've ever had. The second night, we opted for more bar time, and another meal on property. The skirt steak was spectacular, and the Sea of Cortez fresh amberjack was delicious. The bed was comfortable and quiet. The room itself was spacious, with a comfortable desk chair, which made work time enjoyable. This property has made the transition from a work-only hotel to a future trip with the wife. We booked this trip sight unseen for a quick trip to Tucson for a wedding. We were blown away with how clean and gorgeous the lobby is. Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable, the rooms were incredible. They were huge with an large desk to spread out and get work done. The beds were so comfortable and you couldn't beat the sunrise and sunset views. The pool was clean and decorated so chic, and the food!!! Quite possibly the best food I've had in my life!
