What a fun, unique place! I love the way they decorated this old pizzeria. It is night and day. You can tell a lot of thought was put into this place. It is really magical and transports you to a different mindset. I had a Mai Tai here. It was tasty. I do think it could have been stronger. I sat at the bar. They have little sort of private rooms you can sit in for a date or even to chat with friends. I did not eat anything here. For me, it is more of a drinking destination. I want to come back sooner rather than later.

Have you grabbed a drink in secret yet! You need to stop by Maya Speak Tiki for that crazy cocktail you didn't know you needed. Great drinks the bartenders are super friendly and a nice ambiance.

Started our date night here to grab a drink. Majority of the drinks on the menu sounded super sweet. I did try on of the old fashion variations that had peach bitters and I did enjoy it. Drinks were obviously on the more expensive side so it is not somewhere I would go and have multiple drinks. They do have a small menu but we did not try any food. Was an intimate space and service was good. They do not have any week day happy hour or specials

The lighting is dim and the sofas are beautiful. There is a red piano on the other side that just looks so regal. We sat at the bar and were quickly taken care of. They have a great variety of cocktails to choose from and some bites as well if you're feeling hungry. I went with the red eye espresso martini and it was amazing. It tasted like chocolate! The combo of Licor 43 and espresso is delish! Highly recommend. It was a Sunday night so there wasn't too many people, but the bartender did tell us they play live music on Fridays and Saturdays and that is when there is a bigger crowd. We will be going back soon!

This place has great drinks! Crafted by great mixologists. I got the peachy lychee from the seasonal menu. Sweet but not too sweet. Hunger struck randomly so I decided to browse the menu. They had several apps I was interested in. Tip - the buns and empanadas comes with 3 per order. I decided to get the short rib and mash potatoes. The gravy that came with the mash was so good! I wish the dish would've had a different veggie. The broccoli was very small. There was a lot of potatoes. Wish it was a little more portioned but it was good.

Both had cilantro aioli but that did little make either of them tasty. While the short rib meat was tender, it was boring and flavorless. The Churassco was super fatty and chewy, if there was onion jam on the sliders, well I couldn't tell. The atmosphere is chill and the outdoor seating does have greenery that provides a bit of privacy for the patio seating, but I was underwhelmed. Service was nonexistent and food was bland.

I was especially excited because during Christmas time it was decorated as a Grinch-themed bar, which was super cute and festive. The drinks were very pretty and well-presented, but flavor-wise they just didn't really do it for me. The music also kind of threw me off -- it was much more vulgar than I expected, which I know fits a younger Miami vibe, but it felt like a bit much for my taste and didn't match the holiday theme I was excited for. The bartender seemed a little uninterested, and I wasn't a fan of the cocktails being pre-made, which took away from the experience for me. Overall, I love the idea and creativity behind the space, but it just didn't fully land for me. Glad I tried it, just not somewhere I'd rush back to.

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!
