Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

I got a grilled cheese and the flavor of the month sundae which was French silk pie. OMG! It was thee best grilled cheese and sundae combo I have ever had. First, the grilled cheese. I know, how can anyone make a grilled cheese so much better than anyone else. This one was soooo good. Every bite was crispy, no sogginess at all, and just the right amount of cheese. Then the sundae... so good. Perfect amount of pie crust mixed with chocolate and vanilla custard and chocolate shavings. I got a small for $7, but it was still pretty big. Service was fast considering how busy they were, and they have some outdoor seating benches overlooking a waterfall backdrop. Very comfortable I say. I make this proclamation from this day going forward. Any time I am in Milwaukee, I will visit Kopp's frozen custard. Look, I like Culver's, and Andy's and Freddy's, but this place has great custard and great food. Check it out, again and again.

Top Tier Frozen Custard!…read more They have daily specials. The vanilla frozen custard is definitely sweeter than the Andy's Frozen Custard, but this custard really holds its shape and doesnt melt as quickly! The lines move fast and they bring your frozen custard out very quickly as well. Super efficient especially with the large lines. And its so cool, they have such a nice outdoor area for everyone to hangout in!
