Recently came shopping here for a friend's birthday. He was in the military and he actually missed the MRE's, so for his birthday we got him a few. Found this place through yelp and it wasn't that far from us so we came to check it out. They have a good selection of everything, employees are super friendly and fun to talk to. I asked if they had any more in the back cause it was limited flavors on the shelf, the employee went to the back and came out with an arm full unfortunately the flavors our friend wanted they didn't have but another employee gave us her reviews on which she liked so we got those. We also ended up buying something for my Navy Vet father in law. If you're looking for military stuff, boots or camping/survival gear I recommend this place. read more

Every once in a while I go into Doughboys in search of something my man is in need of. The men behind the counter are cool and every once in a while I can find some cute sandles for my feet. I've gotten some really cute, rugged sandles over the years and also some odd and end type things. Good place to find unique stuff, whether military or otherwise. If you're not sure what to get don't get it, there's no refunds apparently and especially the older men will use the dumbest excuse you've ever heard. I recommend a different uniform store or Army and Navy Store, this one is big but they have a small variety. read more

If I could give a lower rating I would!Ordered a Carhartt Jacket for a birthday present & paid for 3 day shipping,$22.74.Called them on the 4th day after not receiving the jacket & they had absolutely no record of my order,even though they sent a receipt via E-Mail,& had already charged my debit card $131 + bucks!Contacting my bank tomorrow first thing to try to report it.As of now have heard nothing back from Doughboy.My advice is to steer clear! As of 5 minutes ago got a call from Jodie Frankel with Doughboy who told me jacket wasn't in stock,informed him I wanted my credit card credited for the amount charged & he said he'd take care of it.................we'll see.I will update. Doughboy did indeed credit my account for the sum charged.I know that anyone can mess up,but they were true to their word so I would try them again. read more

Jesus Christ this place is over priced. If you're looking for actual military surplus DO NOT come here. They have very little surplus and what they have is absurdly overpriced. Molle pouches both new and used are overpriced. At least I can say the employees are helpful and friendly. read more

When you arrive...you are going to wish you had more time! Not that people are slow; the customer service is very friendly and helpful. The store is just that full of stuff and I mean the good stuff...the stuff you didn't know you needed until you saw it there and now you have got to have it!! What is there to say? This place has been there for many many years and has provided great gear for a reasonable price the whole time. "Reasonable" means that similar products at the big chain stores will be cheaper; for example, Dickies bib overalls at Walmart (ew!) are less expensive when compared to the same product at Doughboys. One could spend hours just looking around in the store, but if you know what you want, it's really easy to go directly to it. They have a great collection of work and military surplus clothing. I went there to find a sturdy work belt that I could wear every day, and sure enough, there was a nice one that wasn't overly expensive. read more

I was cleaning out my garage and had about 6 boxes of Army stuff from being prior service. It was collecting dust and I hadn't opened those boxes in about 10 years. I called Doughboys and the person told me I should speak with Mark, the owner. I told Mark, I had 6 boxes of manuals, uniforms, TA-50 gear, boots, hot and cold weather gear, etc. He told me he was interested, paid well and to come in. I was there within the hour, introduced myself and he told me to bring all that in. I told him it was 6 boxes of stuff, and asked if someone could help me out. When he eyeballed me, that should have been a sign for me to leave. But he sent one of his employees out to help me unload my car. Once we brought it in, Mark told me to dump everything on the floor. That should have been another sign... so I wanted to confirm with him - you want me to dump all 6 boxes of books, clothes, boots, etc out on the floor. He retorted he had to see what he was buying. There was at least $600+ worth of gear, granted most of it was used but I had some stuff that was brand new still in packaging. He kept asking what I wanted for it all so I told him at least $250-300. And he said he'd take all of it for $50, if i didn't like the deal get out of his store. Mark is extremely rude! I had been in this store previously to purchase items but after this treatment, I would never step foot in this store again. read more

STOPPED BY ON TUES 1/15/2019 a few minutes before 9 a.m., on the web site and the front door it indicated "open at 9 a.m.". Along with about 4 other gentlemen who would park and walk up to the front door to realize the store wasn't open so we just stood around out front for awhile. I waited until 6 minutes after 9 and decided not to wait any longer for the store to open (security gate locked up, there were no lights on or humans inside). I was pulling away when I noticed a gal coming from the parking lot with a drink cup in one hand and food container in the other. I am guessing she was the gal that was should have been at work, ready to go to work before 9 and open the store up at 9 a.m. read more

It's the only place that would carry small enough steel toe boots for women! Love it! And the boots weren't bad priced.

Terrible customer service. My husband went to return some work boots he had just purchased as they hurt his feet.(He wore them for a few hours) He was asked why he wanted to return them, he told the shoe person why. The person helping him called another store employee over and that person asked my husband the same question 2 more times and my husband answered the same as he did to the first person that asked him. Shouldn't be that difficult or made to feel uncomfortable about wanting to return something you paid for and only wore for a few hours read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I called on the phone for a m65 field jacket and the guy said they have plenty in stock and they were gonna put one on hold. Well not only didn't they put anything on hold but they didn't have the size in stock . Thank you for making me drive 30 miles out of my way for nothing. I'm one of the few people that still wears Dickie's shorts. This is one of those places that carries them in a variety of sizes and colors. Staff was friendly and helpful, prices are moderate, and the entire store was well kept and clean. Will definitely be coming here for work clothes, or heavy coats when needed. read more

Don't go here if you actually need tactical military equipment. The only had two selections of slings and told me to "google" the other items I was looking for. Also the have almost ZERO items when it comes to MOLLE gear, and a solid goose egg for postal holsters. If you want cammies for your infant this is your place though. The one pro is they are very close to some awesome hole in the wall eateries. Oh and this military surplus store does not give a military discount. read more

This place is an awfully nice surplus store. They have very good customer service. I stopped in the get a men's belt. I wanted a real one-piece, thick leather belt, not the crappy ones made out of two strips of thin leather sewn together. I found a huge selection of such belts for 1/2 to 1/3 of the price that most men's clothing stores sell. They have a big selection of clothing too, and the prices in general are low. This is also a good place for hikers and campers. My most recent visit revealed a stack of French army rations. Each one looks like a small cinder block and can be broken up into segments. It is basically a huge energy bar. It provides all the nutrition that an adult needs for a single day. I also saw a selection of enameled kitchen ware for sale. read more

I purchased 4 pants for my spouse online, to call 2 weeks later to find out they lost my order, have no record of my order, yes I have email confirmations and was charged, and they never even order my products, and the price that I purchased on line was the incorrect price so they wanted to charge me more!
