A classic fish fry place in the heart of Skanteatles. Ordering is efficient with small to-go sundaes at the register. Plenty of seating with benches, chairs, and high tops. Make sure you check out the sauce counter and get malt vinegar and the curry mustard. When your food is ready they'll shout your name and if you have left overs they'll wrap them in paper for you at the counter. They have some of our favorite slaw ever!

What a wonderful local place with a kind staff and great prices. As I walked in it felt like I walked through a time warp Where everything was like it was in 1980s and wonderfully so . I really enjoyed this fish fry everything was fresh the locals love it and I enjoyed my time . If you are in the area enjoy This wonderful place .

Doug's is right near our house so we have been going here for years. The inside is super fun, lots of nautical themed decor and little fishermen everywhere. I'm so sad to report that they changed the food and the quality has dropped. The fish sandwich was pretty good but the coleslaw was all liquid and didn't taste right. And they changed the fries! They used to offer hand cut French fries but these were obviously a frozen product, hard and stale. The scallops were very yummy. The staff are always kind and helpful. I'm just disappointed that we didn't get the meal we were expecting, I thought this would be an easy 5 star review!

Yes it that big of a sandwich.

All I can say is WOW.... Our first time. We ordered the fish sandwich's and the fish is very well portioned and cook to perfection. Crispy and lightly coated with exceptional taste !!! I don't know which sauce is better the red or white ... so I put the white on the sandwich and used the red to dip the over hang ... works ... lol We will be back

Love this place! They have the best lobster roll I've ever had. A little on the pricy side but totally worth it! It didn't come with a side so I'd recommend ordering something extra if you have a big appetite.

Very disappointed. The fish was not fresh. The fillet was 1/4" thick. Total rip off.

You're not truly living until you've drowned one in their magical boom boom sauce. And the salad bowls? They've somehow made me a believer that greens can be exciting. Seriously, it's the best salad on campus. Other stuff like their pho noodles are mehhhh. The vibe is solid -- decent indoor ambiance, plus outdoor seating for when you're feeling fancy. This place does get packed faster than a lecture hall on syllabus day. If you don't time it right, you might be left holding your burrito bowl like it's a newborn, desperately hunting for a seat. TL;DR: Come for the boom boom sauce, stay for the best eats on campus, and pray for non-awkward seats.

I ordered a burrito bowl with pulled pork, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, & tortilla chips. I topped it off with boom boom sauce and tangy bbq (the best combo). It was nice to see the same workers as last semester because they are all nice and always have a friendly smile on their face. The ambiance was a bit slow because of Thanksgiving break coming up, but it seemed like most people were enjoying their food. The pulled pork was a bit on the drier end and it overpowered the taste of the other ingredients, but overall I'm glad that I ordered it. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Tossed is located on Market Street which can be busy during lunch & dinner. They offer Vegan and Vegetarian as well. We arrived just after noon so most of the tables were taken. We managed to snag a table though and ordered. My guy had the gluten free cheeseburger bowl which was delicious! Came with a bowl of Romaine, burger, red onion, cheese, and ripe tomatoes and a tangy sauce Looked so good I had to have a bite and it was Great! I had the Trio of Isles which included 2 homemade Spanakopita. I could tell immediately because of the pastry wasn't the usual store bought puff pastry. And, it was so flavorful with garlic, spices and Pine nuts. The hummus was good and the pita points were toasted and warm when served. The falafel was okay and one was filling with homemade Tzatziki sauce. I managed to eat both falafels. I would definitely come again and just get the Spanakopita-it was Amazing. They do a lot of Take Out. Some of their salads were huge (definitely two meals worth - lunch & dinner) and several patrons were taking what they couldn't finish home for dinner.

I usually get Cate's Buhda Bowl but recently branched out and got the tofu veggie wrap, chock full of goodness and protein. Both are really flavorful and nourishing, generous too. There is another thing that keeps me coming back. Tossed is clearly family-run, and I know that a father-daughter team seem to be mostly in charge. Once, they got my order wrong, and I waited longer than usual for the correction to appear. Not only did they credit my order but I think the person who made the error was in tears. I just love these people, they are so sweet!

When I read over the reviews, everyone raved about their baked goods - so of course I ordered the bread pudding in addition to a rosemary chickpea salad with grilled chicken. The salad was like a take on Thanksgiving stuffing with chickpeas. It was good a little thick but has good flavor. The grilled chicken did not have any flavor to it but once mixed into the salad it was good. The stand out for me was definitely the bread pudding. It had layers of fresh apples in between and was very moist. I really enjoyed this and even cold it was still very delicious. They mentioned to me that the apples were from a local farm, which I loved. Definitely recommend checking out the baked goods for sure.
