We have been coming to Dove Waterpark for a few years now and my kids enjoy it every time. There's so many different things for them to do, despite their age differences (10, 6, and 1). From a splash pad, toddler area, slides, to a diving board, it's easy to spend a few hours here and not get bored. They only allow you to bring water and snacks inside, but they have a concession stand with food, snacks, and drinks that are reasonably priced. But really, the whole place is affordable at just $3 for Grapevine residents and $6 for non residents. I'm kinda bummed out we didn't make it out much this summer, but I was reminded of what a great place this is this past weekend and will definitely make an effort to take my kids more often next summer.

    Splash time!!

Perfect place for a family day out in the sun! Note: If you plan on making a full day of it and have little ones, highly recommend reserving cabana A or B since you can clearly see the kiddy area. A is closest to the bathrooms while from B you can also see the splash pad (located adjacent to the pool, but outside the gate for free). There are still shaded areas available that you don't have to pay for but you'll need to either arrive early or keep a lookout in order to grab one if you want to also be near the pool/shallow end. Bathrooms are super clean! One large, handicap stall and 2 smaller ones. They also have soap as well as hand sanitizer available. That's in addition to 2 rather large family bathrooms available. Aside from the overall cleanliness, previous comments regarding how attentive their guards are is pretty on point. Having been a lifeguard for over 10 years, manager and trainer, my standards are probably higher than most. I've never felt even 90% safe at a pool I was visiting at before but I was pleasantly impressed by this group. There was only one guard who was more into her nails than watching the kids, even so, I didn't have to be in mama hawk mode which made it enjoyable. Another safety plus is that they offer life jackets in an array of sizes including xxs in case you have a tiny tot with you. Initially you might pass on that option since the kid area is so shallow; however, even I didn't realize it at first but you can walk/swim to the deep end as the entire pool is actually connected. So if you have a small one that's quick to get away from you, you may want to go ahead and have them in one. We didn't visit the concession stand which is located behind the entrance/cashier area. Majority of families did bring coolers, including us. They didn't check our contents but they do have a sign posted about what's allowed / not allowed - no glass of course, and no sodas which I thought a bit odd. Homemade "lunchables" accompanied with fruit and/or veggies seemed to be the norm. Lastly, one of my favorite features, although I didn't utilize it, was the area where it's average it about 2 feet deep... they have a platform with chairs for laying out positioned in the water. The water is only a couple inches deep around them but perfect tanning area. It looked very inviting for an afternoon nap.

Free Splash pad located directly next to the Dove water park. This Splash pad has ample shade for little ones to play while being safe from the sun. This Splash pad has quite a few water features and offer something for everyone. A few water features for infants and some for the older kids as well. If you had a 6 month old as well as a 10 year old they both would enjoy this splash pad. This location is gated so the kids are safe and they also have some tables and chairs to eat lunch or just have a dry place for your stuff. I have been here many times and it never seems overcrowded or dirty. Great splash pad!

I only had two sets left, mind you, and my sweater was on machine, I was getting ready to sit in it and use it, and the employee starts unracking my weights. I said "excuse me, I am using this and he said well we are moving it"! Never ever would this happen at 24 hour fitness or any other commercial big or small private gym. They know how to put their patrons first at those other places. IF he actually was taught to put members first, he would've let me finish the extra three minutes it would have taken me to complete my sets... never going back here. Or they could've put a sign to not use machine, like all other gyms in the world do. I have been a personal trainer all my life and never have I witnessed anything like what happened to me here today. If you're serious about your workouts and your time in the gym, don't bother with this incompetent staff that doesn't know how to put paying members first. What I experienced today is like eating at a restaurant and while you're in the middle of taking a bite of your half eaten burger, the waiter comes to your table and grabs your plate with your fries from underneath you. Who does that? LOL. But that is not the worst of it.. after the manager talks to me, the rude employee that kicked me off my machine (older man) comes over to where I am and rolls his eyes and tells me "get over it"!!! I've never been spoken to so poorly by a grown man. Shame on him for speaking to a lady that way. Zero respect, zero common sense, zero gym etiquette or know how. These people are running a joke of an establishment and their employees know nothing about serious training or why people actually go to the gym and yet they work at a gym. Canceled my family's membership and never going back to this dump.

Initially, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly Emerald Waters Pool completed our pool installation. Unfortunately, we soon realized the speed came at the expense of doing the job correctly. The biggest issue was that the required city inspections were never completed before construction moved forward. Will advanced the project all the way to the final inspection, where the city rejected the entire project. We then spent approximately two and a half months waiting for everything to be corrected and approved before we could finally move forward with the plaster. Even after receiving city approval, the problems continued. The site had not been properly prepared before the plaster was applied, resulting in it having to be installed twice. Then, just three weeks after installation, the color began fading, which was clearly not normal. We contacted Will about the issue but never received a response. We also discovered that the waterfall was installed off-center, another quality control issue that should have been caught during construction. In addition to the pool, we hired Emerald Waters Pool to install a patio and walkway. The workmanship was disappointing. The pavers was neither straight nor level without constant supervision, and we had to insist that sections be redone because they were not installed correctly. To make matters worse, some of the additional work we paid for was never completed. It is also worth noting that the work performed outside of the pool installation was never covered by a written contract, which appeared to avoid documenting that portion of the project. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Emerald. Between the missed inspections, poor workmanship, lack of communication, and incomplete work, the project became far more stressful and time-consuming than it should have been. We strongly encourage anyone considering this company to continue their search for a builder that prioritizes quality, communication, and accountability.

The workout floor is amply stocked with machines and free weights, there are even sanitization wipe stations scattered throughout the floor to wipe down equipment after use. There are small combination lockers to store your keys, wallet, etc. while you workout, too. If you like this sort of thing, there are a variety of channels on simultaneously across several wall-mounted TVs and the tuned channels are labeled under the TV itself. You can use headphones (wired or wireless I believe) to tune to your preferred channel. I prefer to listen to music on my phone during a workout instead. The rest of the facilities are great, too! Small rooms for classes, childcare facility (hours vary, check the website), pool, chill zone (hangout place with air hockey, fooseball or table tennis, and video games), and when it's warm out, a mini water park outside! The locker rooms are large and have swimsuit spinners to de-wet them quickly.
