It had a good variety and seemed like it would be quite accommodating to many allergies. My part, my teenager left a couple things in his room, which many would consider junk and/or worthless. One of the two items was of sentimental value. Instead of throwing them away, the front desk called and informed us they were left behind. We asked them to put the things aside and that we would be back to get them shortly. When I returned to the hotel, the items were waiting for me at the front desk. If I'm ever back in the area, I will definitely be staying there again.

I drove an hour for the chocolate expo, paid almost $25 for a ticket, only to go in there to see that every chocolate purchase you might want to make is averaging out to be $12 or more, next to no samples on any of the products, and the celebrity meet and greets they advertise don't mention that you have to pay an extra $40-$60 to even go meet them. Which is a real shame because I was very excited to meet the cast of Willy Wonka. That's one of my favorite movies, and the main reason I drove down here. Only to find myself feeling really bad that most of them were just sitting there looking at the crowd with no line because I'm sure many, like myself, weren't expecting to pay an extra fee on top of what you already paid to get into the expo. I felt so bad for them. Just a bummer. I'm probably just going to try and find something to do around the area before I go home so I can at least get my drives worth. Genuinely though it could be user error. I guess if there was any fine print, I didn't see it. Make sure you read it if it's there before you make a purchase for one of the expos here.

Which, to be honest I think I liked it better when it was dover downs. It's a pretty good sized casino. Not too small not too big. It's definitely not the MGM. But they have a few restaurants in here and the rooms are decent. My dad and I get a lot of free rooms because we like to play the high roller slots. (We've never played any of the card games or anything else that they offer. Strictly slot machines) My dad and I usually walk away doing pretty well for ourselves here. And then I like to go to sugar factory for a celebratory drink lol. They give out a good amount of free slot play and we've gotten the free cruises from here but weren't able to go. Another down side is they took the free fountain drinks they had all over the casino floor and now it's all vending machines and you have to pay for your drink. (And most of them didn't even work) They do have a spa here, but I haven't been to it YET My dad and I always win jackpots here. We had to call for an attendant to help with it. I believe her name was Theresa. She had my dad and I crying like a baby. We were making small talk and my dad told her him and I haven't seen each other in over a year due to us both having horrible health issues. After talking and parting ways, she found us about ten minutes later and brought over a few other workers and introduced them. She said that they would all be praying for me and my upcoming surgeries. I could tell they were all really caring and genuine (her and I have the same horrible condition) I can honestly say the service here is always above and beyond. Even when booking a hotel room here and getting close to the elevator so it's not that long of a walk due to our health issues. And they always have people walking around cleaning. I've never seen a dirty machine. Boy, I never thought I'd be reviewing a casino lol. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend making a stop here if gambling is your thing. They used to have a buffet when it was Dover downs (wasn't a fan of it) and they said it will not be reopening under Ballys Have fun and good luck!!!

Breakfast had a good variety of hot items. 2 working elevators, so limited wait time. The downside was a limited dog walking areas. Pluses were walking distance to 2 fast food restaurants and one convenience store. Strange that the fire pit was not activated, so a cool September evening could have been nice to sit outside. If the pool is closed down, it's time for the fire in my opinion. I will absolutely book here again.

The ONLY plus of our stay and the only reason I'm giving 2 stars was the kind gentleman (8/8/24 in the evening) at the front desk who gave us extra blankets and refilled our hand soap for us. As an IHG member who travels for work, this is my least favorite hotel I've stayed in! Super bummed to have to find a new place.

So we got about four hours sleep and no food for an overpriced hotel room. This is why we stay at rental homes now for vacation. We just needed an overnight stay on our drive home. Don't come here.
