It's my first one with him in my life :) I was blown away when we walked up to the main house, toured inside of ours, had tea, a cozy night and breakfast. He breakfast was nithing shoet of amazing! The star was the Blueberry Stuffed French Toast casserole - like OMG insanely delicious!!! I kind of had three servings! Many other perfect choices too, like English muffins, fruit, yogurt, granola). Our room is done in dark reds and boasts cherrywood. Also, beautiful prints and furniture. We had a romantic evening with the jacuzzi, (gas) fireplace and cloud cozy King sized bed! Stellar service from all - Sam and Amanda in particular. They do A LOT here! We MAY leave the room today, lol. Walking Washington Street is a possibility. MAYBE the Zoo... This was our first visit to this charming B&B and it was truly a positive & memorable experience. It's located within the heart of Cape May, so walking distance to a myriad of restaurants and shops and only one block from the beach. The amenities are unbeatable - beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs and towels, lots of outdoor porches to relax on and read, and an outdoor shower. The breakfasts are delicious (we had an egg/cheese entree with ham the first day & a stuffed French toast with sausage patty the 2nd day) The daily morning and afternoon baked goods were delicious (especially the assorted breads with homemade strawberry jam!) The owners (Doug & AnnaMarie) are extremely warm and welcoming and go above and beyond & to ensure every guest felt safe during the COVID pandemic (great social distancing, mask awareness, plastic shields as needed & hand sanitizer). A well stocked 24 hr kitchen with plentiful bottled water as well. Lots of extras that you don't find in other B&Bs. They also immediately alerted us when my wife left her pocketbook behind at breakfast. You can tell that the management truly cares about making this place a great experience for their guests without cutting any corners. We stayed in the "Sussex" room which had plenty of space, a clawfoot tub, and a huge king sized bed. There is a very loud fire siren, and a train that go nearby so my first night's sleep wasn't the best - however, I don't want that to be a reason for a lower rating. The mansion is beautiful inside and out. Antiques everywhere, so much history. And the breakfast was so much better than I could have ever imagined! Jan really gets the guests to mingle, and socialize - he is a great guy. His husband, Joey, is also a fantastic host and made the delicious breakfast for us each day. Staying in October meant that we were able to enjoy some of the fall foliage, and even ate breakfast in the courtyard. If we ever come back to this area, there is no doubt in my mind that we would stay at Causey Mansion - it is a gem!

Inside we had a fireplace, a tub on the screened back patio, and a porch swing where we enjoyed our morning coffee. It was private, quiet, and felt like our own little world. Breakfast in the Manor House was outstanding with fresh eggs from their own chickens, and the daily afternoon tea became one of our favorite parts of the day. We met other guests, enjoyed fresh pastries, and had great conversations with the owners, Dave and Hilari. They are warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about both hospitality and preserving the history of this place. Talking with them about Brampton's story and their vision was a highlight of our stay. Definitely try their Steampot dinner! It's loaded with fresh local seafood and felt like a true taste of the Eastern Shore. The property itself is beautiful to walk with gardens, meadows, and wildlife everywhere. We were trying to solidify the plan in April/May for a mid-October elopement along with a several night stay in one of the cottages. What we received was lazy communication and terrible customer service. Nina is the employee to steer clear of. She alibied her piss poor responsiveness by saying the Eastern Shore culture just moved at a very slow pace. It took three attempts to receive an error-free contract. We had questions about the photographer that went unanswered for weeks. After nearly a month of trying to lock in our dates and address some of the finer details we received an email from Nina suggesting that we seek out another photographer or another venue altogether if they weren't moving fast enough for us. We did just that, refusing to beg anyone to take our money. Then today, three months later, we received an email from Nina asking us if we'd like to proceed. I responded to her email telling her we made other arrangements and that I'd be leaving feedback online about our experience with her. Attention David and Hillary Rinehart (owners), Nina is poorly representing your establishment and costing you money and your reputation.

Her teaching style is patient and encouraging, yet she challenges them just enough to help them grow as riders and competitors. They've recently started competing, and the transformation has been incredible to watch. Not only are they developing as athletes, but they're also learning discipline, focus, and responsibility--life lessons that go far beyond the barn. Most importantly, they absolutely *love* every moment they spend with Ms. Renee and the horses. It's clear that this is more than just riding lessons--it's a passion being nurtured with care and expertise. We are so grateful for the joy and growth this experience has brought to our daughters!
