Food was amazing. Had the Mexican-style street corn and the spaghetti and left feeling satisfied with our meal. Pasta & meatballs could have used some more spice. Espresso martini was delicious. Service left more to be desired, maybe it was a rough night and the fact we were a large group but we were not attended to that much. Our server was fine, a couple other servers were rude when we went to hug our friends goodbye. Not a great restaurant for groups, fine for a date or double date. They also made us have 20 people on one check and made everyone be there, including the person who had the surprise birthday dinner (so... it was no longer a surprise). read more

I would recommend paying a visit to Dovetail if you're in the Tri-Cities area. But bring a hearing aid, the restaurant is very loud. And it's located in the back of a stirp mall, which is a bit odd for the such a nice restaurant. After a day of wine tasting, my group was quite hungry. 2 ordered the the mezzah plate - one had falafel, and the other had lamb. The portions were huge and came with 2 choices of spread, along with a pita the size of a raquet! The hubby and I settled on Fish cake with sweet corn succotash and gnocchi. Honestly, the Fish cake dish was oh, so delicious! I would happily ordered that over and over again. To end our meal we shared the Sicilian donuts and Strawberry shortcake. SETTING: Love the interior, with an open concept to the kitchen so it feels a bit like you're in the cooking experience. You can tell whoever designed the space has a good eye, branding everything with the dovetail symbol, including the gorgeous handmade pottery serving plates/bowls. SERVICE: Just ok. Our server was nice, but hardly present as she was slammed on a Saturday night. Really seemed like they needed at least one more server. FOOD: In our group of 5, everyone ranked the food at 3.5/5 and one 3/5. They're on a great track to have a great dining experience, you can see the intent is there - it's just needs some sharpening. The pastas were just ok, lacking in flavor. The pizza was 1/3 crust and doughy. My fish taco was very good, but just 1 taco for the order which I ordered as my entree... would have been nice to have that listed or been told by the server since fish tacos usually come in multiples. I order a Caesar whenever it's on a menu, I loved the grated parm, but the dressing was very mayo flavored, needed garlic, acid, something. That's a lot to harp on, but really I could tell the heart is there and I look forward to coming back again in the future, I could see this place being a solid dining experience! read more

Love the ambience here. Staff are SO friendly. Food.. where do I start! Freshly baked pipping hot pita bread did not disappoint. I had the falafel mezzah plate and got to choose two spreads and I picked baba ghanoush and hummus. Falafel was good to perfection, right amount of crisp and very flavorful .My husband had the lamb plate with yogurt and pepper spread. Both plates did not disappoint. Food was very fresh and right portion size was perfect. Not advertised are the dessert options, Donuts were yummy came with a banana sauce and we also had the strawberry shortcake . Both were yummy. Reservations are highly recommended as the venue is not big but always busy. Definitely a place we will revisit when back in the area. read more

First off, fantastic service! The server took excellent care of us and really picked up on the vibes we had going. The room is well appointed with local art. Wine selection also is good. Definitely a gem here in Richland! A really eclectic array of options that will take you to Tiblisi, the Mediterranean... and for lunch today: South Korea. Khachapuri and hummus were our starters. Khachapuri was decent, felt like it was missing a little oomph - but it was cheesy fresh bread, so it was still good! Hummus was delicious, great flavor, really nice pita. High marks. The Korean chicken tacos were pretty good. Nice level of spice, crispy and juicy chicken, solid creamy sauce, great plating... I think the chicken was a bit under salted. It also had pickled daikon which was solid, but felt like a bit of a missed opportunity for something kimchi inspired as the crunchy pickled element. Daikon just didn't pack the flavor I wanted, although it's always solid as a bonchon. Modern and fairly open layout, cool bar area, good service. Gumbo really isn't good anymore since the original chef left. Time to make some updates on it or contact the original chef. We really should have complained about some of the food but we were all in good spirits so we felt forgiving I suppose. The pizzas were soggy and the ingredients were sliding off. Usually the pizzas are great, especially the sausage and peppadew. The apple dessert was also not good, WAY too sweet, nobody could eat more then a bite. The chocolate lave cake dessert was good but not great, I really liked it. The batatas bravas were also lacking spice/flavor to compliment the smokiness. The potatoes in the batatas bravas were cooked to perfection. The Fried Oyster mushrooms is my new favorite plate, it was made to perfection. The caesar salad was also excellent along with the fish tacos. Drinks and sodas were top notch as usual. The ginger soda and the afternoon pickmeup were both great. Service was amazing as usual. On a business trip and this was my first time here, recommended to me by a colleague who is local and has been here before The restaurant itself is really cool, with an open kitchen and much is always nice. Had the hummus and pita appetizer, it was incredible. The pita bread and humis made fresh there, it had steam pouring out when I tore into it. Had the crispy fish cake for an entree, another great dish and finally for dessert I had the donut holes, made with ricotta cheese (if I remember correctly), again, it was awesome!! I am from out of town, but love to go to Dovetail when we are in TriCities. We usually do a few things on the shareable plate menu. The mezze platter with lamb or fledgling are both excellent, love the dips. The hot and steamy pita bread is so delicious! We also did the potato gnocchi this time and flavor is outstanding, could have eaten the whole bowl myself. We also loved the grilled peaches, done with the perfect amount of char! My husband and brother in law love their teriyaki chicken crunch chicken sandwich. And of course the wine, just makes it all better! Amazing place with vegan options! Upscale casual dining in the Tri-Cities that would fit right in in Seattle (and would thrive, people would love it, I would go all the time.) I was skeptical about finding any vegan options let alone delicious ones in the Tri-Cities, and Dovetail blew me away. From the mocktail made with Seedlip to the head of cauliflower on garlic sauce to the flavor-packed curry to the incredible staff and relaxed upscale vibe, it was amazing! We loved it and will definitely come back when we're in the area. I was really excited to try the African peanut curry I'd seen on yelp, but that was not the curry they currently have. But don't worry, it's that "coconut chickpea curry" and it is also incredibly tasty. read more

Had dinner here today for the first time in a few years. Shared a Caesar salad, and is the best we have had I a very long time. Hubby had pizza and I had the Gumbo. This was a very wonderful meal. Some friends recommended this restaurant and after coming I understand why it has so many great reviews. It was during the week probably around 5 PM. They had a really good business and we were able to be seated quickly. I had the Jamaica Margarita and the Brushfire cocktail, both were delicious and the latter was very spicy. My partner and I both went here on a date night to try something new in the area. We got the hummus and pita to share as an appetizer. The hummus was delicious but came out smaller than we had imagined and was definitely a little pricey. We did enjoy the freshly made pita bread that was paired with it. Our entrees were both delicious as well. We ordered the Baja fish taco and the ricotta & spinach gnocchi. While it was a little disappointing to learn the plate only featured one taco, the fish was very fresh and was cooked wonderfully. The gnocchi tasted a little bland. Tables do not have salt or pepper shakers on them, so be sure to ask if you would like extra seasonings. The art decor was a little different with some examples being abstract squares, bonsai landscapes, a let it snow sign, and a stained glass window from a church. Our waiter was very attentive and made us feel welcomed. She was quick to answer our questions and help us navigate through the menu. Overall we had a good experience. Food was decent, I suppose. I thought the meatball appetizer to be a little bland without the ground red pepper on top. My husband's falafel was a little bland too. My fish taco was pretty good. This place was recommended to me as a date restaurant, but the atmosphere was not conducive to conversation or privacy. It's just one open room with bad acoustics and when it starts filling up with people it gets very loud. The tables are pretty close together so that doesn't help either. Not a bad restaurant, but not good for a date night in my opinion. Also felt like we were forgotten at the end, waited for a while for our check. Looked like there were some interesting things on the menu, but by the end of the meal it was just too loud for conversation without raising your voice to be heard across the table. read more

To my tastebuds, they were delicious, but Anto comes from a family of foodies and is a pretty decent cook, and he raved about them. To be honest, they could have been lunch in and of themselves, but I ordered the mushroom taco (amazing!) and Anto ordered a Caesar salad with chicken (deliciosa!).
