Located in the Uptown of Richland, is a beautiful little restaurant. My husband and I were going to go somewhere else before but the other restaurant was closed and we found this one on Yelp and decided to check it out. And WOW! Such spectacular food, service, and atmosphere. We started with drinks, that were icy cold (beer and white wine) and their homemade hummus and oven baked pita bread. Just absolutely out of this world. We knew we were in for a treat because their dishes they serve their food on are 100% all homemade pottery. Typically at new restaurants I order a vegetarian dish because I like to see how they cook their vegetables and other products besides meat. I got their spring risotto and my husband got their spicy gumbo that had chicken and sausage in it. Their rice was cooked to perfection in both dishes and the vegetables and meat as well. The gumbo had the perfect amount of spice and the meat was so tender, not over done whatsoever. We finished off our wonderful meal with their chocolate cake with a fudge sauce and some vanilla bean ice cream. Overall I'm so excited for this restaurant to get some more recognition. Such a hidden gem in Richland. Reasonable prices too! Made us want to order drinks, apps, main course, and dessert. We'll be regulars at this joint. read more

Not seating the whole party until everyone arrives, no refunds for ordered items, etc. -- these rules sour how I feel at the restaurant. It feels icky, elitist and uncomfortable. (I have never requested a refund for food. Just the existence of that policy is strange and off putting.) The seating policy makes me avoid this place when joining friends for dinner. It's just awkward. Staff also feel stiff and unfriendly, for the most part. No one comes by to ask how things are -- at all. So, when the wrong drink was brought to our table, after five minutes of waiting for our waitress (or anyone to come by,) we had to flag someone down. Not a big deal but not ideal, either. Chicken sandwich and fries come with no sauce for the fries. A little weird. So, we had to ask the girl bringing our food out -- who had to relay the request to our waitress - who eventually brought us a tiny, tiny ketchup container. Not enough ketchup, but not worth flagging someone down and waiting for more. The food is decent - some dishes are quite nice --- some are not great for the price ---or the portions are too small. The aforementioned chicken sandwich and fries would not fill up most people. Even with an appetizer, we felt it was too light of a portion for the price. Also, the couple drinks I've ordered have been strange. The spicy strawberry margarita, for example, smelled and tasted strongly of vinegar. Nothing in the ingredients suggested it would taste like that. I am putting this feedback here since no one at the restaurant asks about the meal for feedback (and I wouldn't dare to have them think I was challenging their rule about no refunds.) They just might want feedback that their drink tastes spoiled? read more

Dovetail Joint is one of my favorite restaurants in the Tri-cities. First, the atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a bigger city. Clean, modern and minimalist but with a lot of warmth. Been to this place twice. Came for the dovetail reference, left for the lack of wow. Second try left little room for interest in returning again. Generally good quality food, but this place is hyped up way more than it should be. That being said, the service was good and the ambiance is spot on if you're wanting a hip and trendy vibe. The middle eastern inspired dishes taste more authentic to the spirit of the cuisine's origins than other dishes. Some dishes are just bland, and whatever they wanted coming through just isn't. Their artisan-style pizza is standard, good artisan-style pizza. All the wines were local which is nice but the servers struggled with suggestions for pairing with foods. read more

I don't know where to start the review because I simply feel speechless. Everything from the appetizer to dessert was perfect. Patatas bravas were better than the ones we had in Spain. Portion was big enough for 3-4 people to share. Crispy cubes of potatoes were perfect with aioli sauce and bright red sauce without the heat. We also loved chicken and andouille gumbo, and mushroom taco. We appreciated the flavor of each dish without overwhelming spice or saltiness. Lastly, Italian donuts were so light and was sweet way to end the meal. Kudos to the chef for creating the most delicious dishes. Drink selection is great for beer and cocktail. Definitely we will be back to try other dishes. read more

Stopping through Richland before our final destination = WSU! Another pick from our lil foodie, she said tapas...parentals of course said why not!!! We thought small portions...we were soooo wrong. The portions look small but they we fill you up. Thanks to Crystal our server for not talking me out of the Gumbo...I was going to to a pizza (clams & bacon). The Gumbo was rich and thick with plenty of chicken, sausage, & ocra in each bite. The rice wasn't just a filler but complimented everything in the Gumbo and allowed the flavors to come out! My wife and daughter split a caesar salad and the pasta pomadoro which disappeared before I old snap pics...but the wifey loved that their coupons were crushed and gave the salad more texture. Dessert I passed on but the girls shared the strawberry sobert...I snuck in a bite and wished I got one for myself. The strawberries used for the sorbet were from a local grower and tasted like they were freshly picked. Need to make a trip back here next time in the area... read more

The Garlic Chicken, was good, very good really, maybe a little too sweet if you are worried about sugar but if not go for it. The Cochinita Pibil (pork) was even better, my mouth is watering as I remember I have some leftover in the fridge, hopefully no one else has remembered it is there.. The Fish Taco was fantastic, the best fish taco I have ever had, and I have had some really good fish tacos. We split one and let me say 1/2 of this fish taco was just not enough. If we were actually eating in the restaurant I would have ordered another one or two. Also, it is fairly inexpensive, I am going to say the fish taco is the overall winner and best buy, of the food we tried. And then there was desert...We had the Sicilian Donuts, there were quite a few of them, roundish and a little bigger than a typical doughnut hole. Someone, didn't want to try them because they were covered in sugar, so I ate them, I ate them all, faster and faster as I went. Freshly made, served hot, crunchy on the outside, moist and tasty on the inside. Yeah, those should probably be illegal, I might need a 12 step program after eating them. I am glad I tried this place and look forward to trying some more of what they offer. read more

By a significant margin by favorite restaurant in the tri-cities. I've been several times and tried nearly everything on the food menu, all of which I've liked to loved. My favorites are: The pita with labneh - light, fluffy, fresh from the oven pita with creamy labneh (like a smoother house-made cream cheese), spicy herb sauce, and olive oil. this is one of favorite things, zero caveats. Other favorites: shrimp pil pil, falafel, lamb kebabs, all the whiskey cocktails, especially the old fashioned. Service is great - knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. For the uptown it has quite nice ambiance, as well. Only downside: stay open later on the weekend, please! read more
